Summer Time Travels

At the end of July we took a little road trip to Wenatchee Washington to attend the memorial service of my grandmother. Royce wanted to take a few extra days to enjoy the country along the way. We decided to pack and plan a few nights of camping, some hiking and see some beautiful things that we have wanted to see for a few years now. This is one of the sunsets on one of the evenings we were traveling, the picture really does not do it justice.

We camped at Tokatee Lake in Umpqua National forest in Oregon. This is the lake were we camped. We also hiked to Umpqua Hot Mineral Springs that is very close to this lake, it was beautiful and the springs were amazing and felt wonderful.

This is Diamond Lake, we stayed here a couple years ago at the resort. At the time everything was covered in about 12 feet of snow and a lot of ice. What a sight when the snow is gone.

We then traveled on to Crater Lake. Elise was gone in Utah so she is missing from the pictures. Here we all are at Crater Lake, again absolute beauty and the most amazing blue I have ever seen.

Royce and I at Crater Lake.

My cousin Sarah, myself and my cousin Traci. We are the three grand daughters living that my grandmother had. These ladies are more like sisters to me than cousins. I love them dearly and am so grateful I have them, family is everything.

Janelle, Jacey, Malia, Brailey and Kylee. Five of the great grand kids of my grandmothers. They all had so much fun and played so well together. This is the best picture of about 10 that were taken, they were all being so silly.

My little nephew Noah. He is the son of my brother Joe. Noah loves his older cousins Austin and Zachariah and seemed to be stuck to one of them like glue for most of our visit.

My dad and Carson, Joe's youngest son. The nephews are just adorable and boys through and through. Carson loves to wrestle and is super ticklish, and is just a little love bug to boot. I loved spending time with my nephews. The time went far to quickly and the visit seemed to short.

Me and my Aunt Sharon. Aunt Sharon is my moms baby sister. I love this lady more than I can express, she is a wonderful person and Auntie.

I really liked this picture of my mom, I think Zachariah did great in some of his picture taking. Janelle however is the one who caught this one of her Grandma.

My baby brother Joe holding Carson. This is a great picture of Joe too, I love his smile, I love him too, he is such a good man.

We came upon this place somewhere in the middle of Oregon, I wish I could tell exactly where but I truly have no idea. It sure was pretty to take in and appreciate.

A great picture of Royce. I love what his t-shirt says. We had a wonderful time seeing family and traveling. I wish we were getting together for other reasons than a memorial, but the time together was wonderful regardless of the circumstance. The older I get the more I realize how important family is. The older I get the more I wish we lived closer to one another.
