Wonderful Christmas!!
Christmas was wonderful and magical!! We went to Tim's family on Christmas Eve and then to my friend's house. It was fun to be with family and friends. The kids had a blast with their friends, as always. Before we left home we made cookies for Santa and left them by the tree. This year Tim and I were very excited because the kids understood a little more and they were both asking for Santa for days!! Nichael was extremely excited on Christmas morning while Khloe was serious and observant, but we could tell that she was also having tons of fun! They played all day long! I made a turkey on Christmas day and we had a simple, but yummy dinner with my father-in-law. When I put Khloe to bed, she asked: "Mommy, where's Santa?" I explained to her that he had come and that he had left her presents, but that he had to go back to his home...and she said: "uh oh!" It was so cute! I think she really wanted to see him. Next year I'll make sure he shows up! :-)

Our anniversary is coming up and I always tend to be a little thoughtful and think about all the years that we've been together. Often I look at our old pictures and I really enjoy thinking about some of our special moments, so I decided to post some of them here. Can you believe that back in 2001 when we took our engagement pictures and my bridals...we didn't even have digital cameras? That's so crazy!! I had to scan all of these, haha!!
Tim and I met in April of 2001. I had just arrived in the USA (I got here on April 11th, 2001) and Tim was on his way to Brazil. Funny to think that even though we were physically headed in opposite directions, we were searching for the same experiences.
Tim said he fell in love the first time he saw me and that I caused him to have a change of plans on his trip to Brazil(what was he planning on doing down there? Lol)...He said he thought of me during the 1 1/2 month he spent there. I, on the other hand, was too busy trying to get going with my life here. But I did think about him often and knew that he had lost my contact information because I had moved. I kept thinking about him and wondered if I should call him so one day I had the guts to call him and as soon as he answered the phone he asked me out. From May to July of 2001, Tim and I went on several dates and we were getting to know each other. We had so much fun together!
In July we went to our friend's wedding in CA and it was my first time going through the LDS temple. I was so happy that Tim was there with me on this special day. I knew that day that I was going to marry him. It was also the day that we officially started dating and we kissed for the first time!! What a busy day!! LOL...very special though!!

Tim came to see me the day after we got home from our trip and we just didn't stop seeing each other!! We were definitely in love!! These are some of the pictures while we were dating.

We got engaged on August 20th, 2001. Unfortunately we don't have any pictures :-( ...but Tim proposed to me at Temple Square. We used to love going on walks around SL, and Temple Square was a special place.

We got married on November 9th, 2001 at the Bountiful LDS Temple.
It was one of the happiest days of my life and I'm was so happy to be sealed to my best friend. It was a beautiful day and I remembered being very, very happy and very connected to Tim.
