
Saw an image of a red kite and was awing at its beauty. Tried painting it with watercolors on a piece of watercolor paper that was treated with gesso. It was hard to paint at first. The paint doesn't get absorbed due to the waterproof nature of acrylic. On the other hand, it makes lifting easy, thus the benefit of 'undo'. It also creates some texture.
Used some gold poster paints for the background and when everything is dried, I used a pen knife to etch out the white highlights. Quite fun
