...One day, Len got really really bored. She didn't want post her works on DA. Neither does she wanna post in FAC. She just want a quiet space for herself. Somewhere where no one will comment or spy on. So she made this :P

Holiday I

With sis back, the psp is back too. Wahhahahahahahah~ I was surprised she had Star Ocean 2 in there, cos she seldom play rpg games other than the FF series... Anyways, I started a new game there. Didn't manage to complete it previously on the PS, the second disk couldn't be read and I was forced to give up on that game.

A picture of Rena Lanford from Star Ocean 2. Kind of losing that expressive touch of watercoloring... (Where's the Zen..... >_<)

Although it's not even halfway through the holidays yet... I felt time is getting short... Hmm....

Glory's 3 Day Visit

About a year ago, a maple friend from Malaysia stopped by Singapore and said hello to my friend and I at Vivocity. The past three days was her first holiday alone in Singapore... meeting up with the bunch of sg maplers she met online. It was quite a daring thing to do... for me perhaps... to travel alone and meet a bunch of people who she met once and few who she never met before, other than on screen. She was supposed to come with another mapler friend, but under some circumstances, she ended up arriving alone. Anyways, alone or not, I kind of found myself in a position of not knowing what to do when she comes.... and that kind of dragged to the actual day. So.... haha, there was more chat than sight-seeing.

After the first day, I was quite stumped at where to go the next day. She gets tired pretty easily, and didn't seem to want to shop. The Luge ride at Sentosa seemed to thrilled her, but guess that's about it... Thrilling stuff... I can't think where to find in Singapore.... (Dun tell me Geylang..)

We went to the night Safari the next day (well... the afternoon was talking and arcade-ing.) Rose and Skull joined us earlier. I hardly talked to them before, and since Glory wanted to meet them, she passed us their contact and we tried to organise a small gathering at Plaza Singapura. They were fun to talk with, a brotherly and sisterly feel. XD Amazingly, Idiot tagged along, without us asking. That quite shocked me there, cos I thought he didn't like meeting online friends. I was anticipating a little fight between Skull and Idiot, but think they managed to talk in the end.

Anyways, night safari. Yea. Too dark... my hands were shaky and the photos I took all came out blurry.

This one was exception, surprisingly....

The better of the two group photos we had.

Saturday didn't go very well... then the third day came. We had planned a bit for this: Flyer, lunch, Sentosa, dinner, departure.

Glory with the Jack plushie that Skull caught for her. She carried it around with her the entire day. She didn't had a camera with her for the trip, so I decided to take some pictures for her with mine instead. She's quite unconfident with her appearance and tend to 'siam' my camera at first... But hey, she knows how to smile in front of the cam, nicer than me at least, lol.

The popular angle to take for the Singapore Flyer...

Seriously, the sky was threatening to rain that last day. It hadn't been a good weather for the previous two, and the morning started with a drizzle. Somehow, the gray clouds quite clear a bit at noon.

Toying around with Glory's plushie at Suntec City.

On the skyride with Rose and Glory. I regreted not bringing my cam along on the first day when we tried the ride. The sky was a beautiful blend of pink and blue....

Girls one bench, guys another bench. Lol, they were talking pretty loudly there... -_-

After that.. back to the hotel for her luggage. Had a hard time finding it's location on the first day... we were running around in a circle... But hey, the room was nicely furnished.

Love the reflection on the window...

Anyways, end of three days there.... It's been quite a challenge to bring people around..... Poor Alton always being bombarded by 'where to go' etc. Consider it an experience, yea, lol. Hopefully I'll do it better next time.

RArrrrggghhhh!

Yay!! :)

Whew... holidays!!!!!!! XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD
(Can't hold myself from that 'XD' there.... hahahaha~)

Anyways, 3D was done, together with HY's project.... so YAY!!!!!! XDXDXD

Super yay that my sis is finally back!!!!! XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXD

She seems to have grown fatter... but not so much that her belly is bulging or something. XD Anyways, this week is gonna be pretty much busy, next week too. Jaryn's asking me back for work due to Joanne's heart condition. Quite relunctant to go back though... bet she knows it too, but the fact that she's also asking the many old birds for help signified how bad the situation was. I wonder what would happen if Joanne was to quite one day? Haiz.... it's screwed man. Anyways, it's not gonna stop me from enjoying myself this month. Time's running short, gotta think how to spend this month!!

Something I did for Beryl in the earlier month. Decided to design a bdae card for her, one that can hold a maple card, since she's playing maple. :P

Haha, she's taking visual communication path. A budding illustrator (hmmm..wonder if that's a right description...), she's quite unconfident with her skills. Largely due to the fact that the vis comm environment is very competitive. After seeing some works and hearing from Ling, the standard seems pretty high, something which definitely made Ber's works paled from the rest, despite the interesting concepts. I suggested that she build up her drawing skills and merge it with her vis com ideas, although she felt it wouldn't help as much as getting that design sense. Somehow, I wonder is it design sense or is it the play of the computer programs that made her felt that way? Drawing isn't totally less useful, in fact, my former tutor pushed us wsc-ers to do illustrating during the wsc days... so probably I do felt the importance of drawing in design too. But Ms Joan Kelly was right too... you can have beautiful colors and brushstrokes for a painting, but with a bad composition, it's gonna look bad. Maybe that's why I got stuck with the drawing of this painting for a long time:

It's something which I owed a maple buddy for a long time... Requested by Yuin, his assasin and pole-armer separated by a wall, signifying his change and moving on. It was drawn almost a year plus ago, but I didn't know what to do with the colors. Somehow, the picture wasn't working, and I didn't really figure it out until recently... the steely was stealing the eye flow away. Tried to pull it back with the white, but I guess it just won't work. Might be better if it was tilted 45 degress downwards.... or it just begs another drawing that could be pieced up to it on the left. (I'll think about it...)

Used the new winsor and newtown paints that Xiu brought back from Aussie there. Love the colors they give, there was a certain shine to them. Hopefully.... I'll do more with it! XD

Last two items to go...

Yeaps... this is the last two days... Most things are done and now left with the last two animations... Asian art history heng heng tested items that I had studied, accounting.... at least I understand what te question is asking for, but dunno if my figures are right... all can pass I happy liao.... as for now....
3D is scary... still texturing my stuff, haven't start animating. Well... there's only a spider walk to animate anyway, and a few camera movements, that's all for animating. But the rendering is expected to take a long time... and to think that Huiying's stuff is still hanging... Both are due on 27th Nov.... Hahahhahahahaa.... and I'm still blogging, yes..... cos I see some light for my 3D.

Gonna cheat my way through with the lighting now..... haha.... hope it works.

Managed to get some more ds games for those two kids to play. Kind of let loose a bit on my nds this week. Glad they enjoy pokemon. At least something to keep them from hogging the TV and PC during the holidays.

T_T

Blocking out...

In Progress...

So called done....

Decided to start on my painting instead of the animation, since it takes some time for it to dry. Initially thought I could just go back to it on the weekends, but guess this is what I am gonna hand in for the final. 4 hours... Didn't like it... the colors are bad in my opinion, could have been more relaxed with the choice, but I didn't want to risk it. Ah well...

Aside! The past is sunk!! On to the rest!!!

Rush hour...

A lot of things to be done in two weeks time and I'm still snailing away...

1. 2D animation final work due 20 something nov - min. 3 scenes animation
2. 3D animation final work due 24th Nov - still at modelling phase....
3. Figurative Painting - 1 Large self portraiture (next Tuesday...)

6. Accounting examination on Nov 25th....
7. Huiying's animation seminar stuff.... due on 20th Nov.

Why liddat.... n I still need 8 hours of sleep.... die liao...

Not that I'm craving to sleep in there, but it just happened to be outside the animation studio one night when I was chionging my 2D animation homework. Took me by surprise as I didn't see it there when I entered in the afternoon. A while later, I figured out that it might have been for the film students, who have been filming there the past two nights. Never imagined students to go to that extreme... but that's cool. Never see such things in nyp, haha.

Decided to snap some pictures of it for future reference. Well... how often can you get so close to a coffin?

Last live portrait session with Figurative painting lessons. The next lesson, we'll be exhibiting all our works done so far, together with the final self-portrait painting, which I have not started on yet.... Haiz......

Accounts arrrr...............................................

Rush rush

It's been a long while.... lol.

Anyways, this is the time of the year when things gets all busy for me (gonna be so for another two more years). This time is a bit more busy, cos my aunt went overseas and grandma is left alone in the house. Mum felt it'll be better to have another person around there, so there I go. 2 weeks of camping... and it's not a great timing. Homework is piling up and I have yet to clear any. Accounts exam is just right after the 3D animation submission date, which spells danger... still in modelling phase for 3D... Huiying's project is at drafting stage, haven't done my 2D work, portrait oil painting, writing assignment... Art history exam around the corner too. The past week at grandma's place is a study camp, which actually kinda helped. Guess there are too many temptations at home.... lol.

Didn't draw anything other than Huiying's animation backgrounds... Concentrating on portraiture in the oil painting class... cos we gotta do a big self-portrait for our final project. :/

2nd portrait of the module. The model is pretty 'fidget-y', needs to constantly chat with the students to keep herself awake. Haha, her ghost stories were pretty entertaining though no one really responded to her as everyone was busy painting.

3rd portrait of the module: got a feeling this model is a yr 1 student from the school. She has a really cool lightning tattoo there which I didn't really capture well.

4th Portrait: this lady is a pro. She hardly moved at all during the posing, super professional. Her face is pretty interesting. I was standing in a position where I can only see her front features, but during the break, I realised her side view is totally different from what I see from the front. Her chin slopes inwards, making the face look a bit petite with her nose and lips very prominent. Her hairdo is really cool too, front long back short type. Wouldn't mind painting her again.

And some randomness....

Ting brought those paper bags back during Halloween, somekind of freebies she got somewhere down orchard road maybe. I thought the advertising was really cool. Those three kids kind of go crazy over it a while and I went snapping pictures of them. All came out pretty blur though... haiz...

Eye Check

Wednesday... trying to make the best out of it, but haha, still kind of slacked through... T_T Anyways, the day started off with meeting Yin Huey for the writing assignment group work. Some argument essay to write, so we sat down in Teck Whye CC's mac for a small discussion. (Haha, the great thing about both of us living nearby.) It took about an hour half to come to an agreement on the idea. Hopefully we can get the essay out by this week... deadline feels tight, especially when there are many other stuff to be done... >_<

After that, I headed off to the nearby specs shop to get my eyes checked by the optometrist... Have been seeing sudden blurred images these while. Though I found it cool at first (waaa, sudden real-time-on-the-spot motion blur!), the rate of occurance is starting to alarm me. Besides, whenever i put my glasses on these days, I felt some strain around my eyes, wondered if it's time to get some new lenses... Surprisingly, the check came out fine. My vision mantained at the same degree, so there was no need to get new specs. But I need to wear my old one more frequently now... probably even when I'm out walking on the street. T_T Astigmatism, it seems, has worsen. Didn't like that... and came home searching out on the net if there was any way to stop it from getting worse, or even heal it back slowly. Seems like it's just gonna be bad all the way unless I got for laser... which is just too extreme for a small case ba.

Time to be a good rabbit and munch carrots.... T_T Nyaaahhh........

1st Oil Painted Portraiture

Wee.... portraiture for today's painting class. It was my fist time painting while standing up, probably a much more liberal position to paint, though the problem of organising my materials and brushes was a little problematic. Since it's a one off thing, we had to finish the painting within the 2 hours. I thought I'll overshoot the timing, but hey, I placed my last brushstroke about half an hour earlier. Won't say it's a brilliant work, but at least I found my way of working around the painting. Didn't feel as lost as I did last week.

This few weeks would be a bit more slack... but I sense a big wave coming soon... Gonna try clear as much as possible these days.

Rainy day...

The morning started all rainy, with some lightning and thunder. Pretty big rain, so decided to stay at home to study accounting instead of heading for school. Ah well... failed the mcq quiz by 1 mark. Kind of sad there, but must admit that I didn't study well for it. The questions were very indirect, which asks one to be really familiar with their concepts instead of dead math. Haiz... to think that my maths was really bad there too, so guess it was doubly hard....

Pretty depressed, wondering if I should go do painting there. I'm aware that my mood can affect those colors pretty badly, bringing about muddy and heavy colors, and not to forget that I get lost in oil painting easily... Somehow, a part of me wondered what would become of the artwork if I did go paint it at that time. Besides, I have to finish it by this week... They are gonna start on the nude model next week, no time for this still life by then.

Guess I really got lost in the painting process. Had a hard time with the cloth and kept meddling it, until I decided that it'll drag on till late if I don't stop correcting it. Went to the marbles, which was a headache, and I end up slapping all sorts of colors there. Wonder is it because of the overall dull tones surrounding the marbles that made them stand out. It was unintentional, but I guess that's what you get from a bright pink, yellow and deep prussian blue palette, and some burnt sienna too, lol. Feels like a dead serious vs playful painting. Regret putting that marble in the corner, maybe I'll erase it next time.

Drift and drift

Toraoh from Mashin Eiyuuden Wataru!! Haiz... I'm getting very restless these days. Feels like I have a lot to do yet dun feel like doing them. Was trying to draw the artworks for huiying's project, but just couldn't settle down and do it well. Many blocks there, keep getting stuck. Accounts quiz tomorrow!! Die liao.... I wonder how much I can remember, totally not confident there, since I hardly touched the textbook eversince I felt it's just too much info. Argh...
End up digging the old anime out to watch. A bit. Lol... (argh, I just realised that the date is written wrongly.... I'm still living in september I guess..... T_T)

On to the fourth still life oil painting. This time, we borrowed the previous set-up of another fellow module-mate, and painted it. Kind of fun, but I find myself in the distress mode everytime I start a new painting. It's the kind of 'I dunno where to start from' feeling, and everything is a doodle. On top of that, I started with a new palette, one which I'm not very sure if it can work out, cos the red is bright pinkish, the blue is an extremely dark prussian and the yellow is all bright like lemon. Kinda freaky handling a new palette...

Guess I need to tell myself to just anyhow paint there next time and care about the shades after that. See how it turns out tomorrow ba!

Zettai Muteki!!

Zettai Muteki Raijin Ou (Matchless Raijin-Oh)

Reminiscing the old times.... nah. Was uploading a new video on youtube featuring a pretty old game's opening (since I hardly see any videos of it there), when I suddenly wanted to look up on this anime I've watched back in Pri 3. It's pretty old, 18 years since it's production now... probably one of the very first anime songs that caught me other than Doraemon's theme, hahaha~ It was a Mecha anime (obviously), and probably caught on the young ones due to the school setting and young protaganists. Till now when I watch it again, I'm still quite amazed at how they managed to fit three robots and a command centre into a primary school. That'll be fun... XD Although it didn't made me wanna pick up a pencil and start drawing, it got me hooked on anime, and eventually drawing in this style. So just a little tribute to it. :D

Wonder if anyone remembers this anime... was pretty excited when Alison back in nyp got pretty hyped up when we started discussing the animes we watched when we're young (man, guess the both of us only had channel 8 back then). Couldn't believe my ears when I heard Ben's handphone ringing with that music back in Scrawls too. >:-O Maybe I should try putting those old anime songs as a ringtone... XD

Figurative Paintings 2 and 3

Hmm... guess I should start uploading my pics to picasa first before putting them here. Better organization of picutres...

The finished look of the previous shoe painting. Kind of like it, maybe it's the browns?

The third set up. Challenged myself to the old glass vs metal topic. Kind of hard this time, cos the colors are so similar.

Work in progress....

Finished work... It still looks unfinished, but heck, didn't feel like doing it anymore. The bg appears flat, couldn't get that value and color at the back, and it ends up quite similar to the foreground tones... Not very satisfied with the glass in the middle too. The green kind of disappeared there... I'm pretty happy that the metal looks metal, unlike my previous charcoal sketches of metal cans that appear soft.

Guess it's time to concentrate on the rest of the work on my pending list of homework.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! >_<

Ann's (bad) Birthday...

The day started with me (not the little kid) waking up pretty early in the morning.... to study for exam. Come to think back about it, it didn't work... so I guess consistency is still the best when it comes to studying for me.... Anyways, while I took a break (actually I gave up), the orange lighting of the morning kind of got my attention. I felt the room getting very dark, and the sun is supposed to be up (nearing 8am then I think) Taking a peek out of the window, I realised it's the gray clouds that are causing the orange lighting...

I thought it looked beautiful, and quickly went to ready my camera. By then, the orange light was becoming more grayish. It happened pretty fast, about a minute or two, the orange color was gone.

Wonder if this was a sign of a bad day ahead... It was Ann's birthday that day and pretty unfortunate incident happened. As usual, our family had a tradition of celebrating the young ones' birthdays in the kindergarden they are enrolled in. This year is Ann's last year at St Joseph's and she's pretty excited about it. She even went around telling her classmates about the birthday cake having the 'Animal Mechanical' picture that she chose. Everything was settled by then, but when Mum and Aunty Peck went to collect the cake, they were told none was aware of it.

So.. there was quite a delay there; the lady boss called up the factory workers and had some hidden talk, before she came out and told Mum that the 2 kg cake was accidentally toppled over. Of course, Mum was furious since she had asked for the cake to be readied by 10am and it was already 1pm when she went to get it, allowing a lot of time for a new cake to be baked... but there was little that could be done then, since they were left with little time before the celebration commence. As a compensation, the owner gave them a small cake, together with 25 pieces of seperate slices of cakes that were available in the cooler. She asked them to return for the cake again at night too. Ah well... Mum was totally unhappy, and yea, nobody knows what to do then, since the birthday celebration was more important. It was very embarassing for all, and even more for the kid... Aunt showed me the pictures she took there, and they were filled with forceful smiles from the three. Hopefully the presents kind of cheered Ann up... but Mum was definitely not.

Went with mum to collect the cake that night. The lady boss was gone, leaving just the worker. Good thing mum didn't vent her frustrations on her (er... she did phone up my cookie manager and vent there....-_-). When asked how the boss was going to settle that afternoon's issue, the worker shrugged; the boss didn't mention anything about it, so we left after collecting the cake. Ah well...

It turns out that the cake wasn't in a good condition... there were cracks on the surface of the cream. We realised it a bit too late, but still went on with the celebrations.

Ann appeared happy, though I really wonder if she's really so... The candles were arranged by her though... haha, she do loved the cartoon drawing there despite the cracks.

Yang readying the candles....

...while Papa lighted them.

Mum and Ting watching 'Tang Xing Feng Bao'... Guess the incident that afternoon kind of exhausted Mum. As for Ting... maybe she felt very disgusted by the way things were handled when she heard the two ladies' testimony....

The show was probably too good...? The candles were melting! Everyone was kind of like just standing (or sitting) there, with some kind of solemn atmosphere.... Heck, I just started singing the first few words of the birthday song and everyone else joined in. Feels as though some kind of curse was released there....

The cake...either it was a let down (very dry) or our tastebuds were spoiled by the previous cakes we had. Mum choked on it, and was coughing so badly her face flushed red. With that, she made her mind up to deliver a slice to the lady boss to sample today. Heard the boss was more shocked to know about the cracks, since the cake was made only a few hours before the collection. Jaryn told me cracks on cream form if the cake was put in the fridge for too long... Guess it had to do with the ingredients here? Or had they placed it in a freezer??

Ah well... quite a long day there... apart from the bad, I was kind of proud that my sister didn't put on a sad face or even cry that day. She was smiling though she probably didn't feel very happy... If it was my bro, he would have put on a face as though the world owed him something. I wonder is it that happy-go-lucky attitude which made Madam He say that this kid "有气质" (although she never taught the kid before....It was the first time she saw her I guess). I wonder of her definition of '气质'...

Tried to snap a picture of the kid that day, but all came out blur.... so sad... This random picture kind of strike me as this painting by Leonardo... '有气质' ar...

As for the bakery shop... Mum and Ting are set to boycott the shop... but I don't think I can....(Oh God, my daily bread how...)

Lunching with Dor

Got Dor out for lunch at NYP today, another of our little catching up after months. It's our usual place to hang out for some cheap food and chat and sketching (missed the food there actually...). Seems like she's waiting for the scholarship application to open, her plans of going to Kyoto to study and draw her own manga; a five years thing. Meanwhile, she's working on freelance work for some money and get by the time.

Somehow, I didn't feel very comfortable about the entire idea, kind of like a dream surrounded with many 'what ifs?'. We chatted long, get into depressed mode with the reality checks, jumped back to the mangaka talks, jump back to depression and again and again. It's like... the previous meet we had in nyp months ago, we were chatting the same stuff, and now, we're still standing in the same place as we had talked about the last time. One thing for sure, is that she is still hoping to fulfill her dream of drawing comics. She hopes to get to a uni in Japan and know how manga is done, and draw her own comics and publishing them.

I told her about the people in school, a few of them had already taken their first step to being a comic artist. One preparing her doujin for convention, Beryl is well on her way to publish her own comic, Shawn has already been there done that, is on mobTV and well working on his next. All have similar goals as her, but I wonder why is she still stuck at dreaming? Could it have been she was thinking too much, or she rot too much at home, or just some bad experiences with the art industry that she just don't dare to make the first move in the local comic scene? True enough that probably Singapore isn't the best place to cultivate all these manga stuff, but dunno, I just felt that she's not making a move to be heard totally. Thought the comic competition might help in gaining some connections, seeing how my fellow ntu friend is doing, but it just went by despite her knowing it. Somehow, I wonder if I was pretty de-motivating saying 'we have nothing'... not a single comic or book published, no background, and to think of gathering some fame in a place that is already saturated with manga artists and all, it's just... still a dream (accounts, oh accounts.... what have you done...).

Anyways, jumping away from this depressing topic, we thought maybe this year's EOY, we might give it a miss. I thought it would be good for her too, maybe just rest this once and check out what others are doing. Somehow, I wonder should we start thinking about doing doujin first? Just a couple of pages, for the fun of it. I'd better start thinking about the 'Flower' calender there... having settled the style I want. Hopefully, we might go for SOY. Haha, one question that kinda hit me from her, why did people buy such stuff? Somehow, if one wants to be critical, there are several good artists whose stuff just doesn't sell, yet there are half-hearted pieces that are just selling so fast that one wonders what so good about it? Audience and trend, I guess... but it came to a point where I asked myself if I'm killing too much trees... Lol?

That's about the important stuff we talked about... the usual 'show your artworks!' session there, and we say what we feel about them. I kind of just shoot what I thought and saw, no good no bad, just what is consistent in the works. Guess the art history classes kind of helped? Haha. I wonder why Wendy would say that she has no color sense back at scrawls? Pretty harsh, and doesn't fit very well for her case... or am I too lenient...? Coming to my own stuff, it feels like it's all pretty experimental. I realised I had an easily bored mind these times, needing something new in terms of style or techniques in my works to keep me going. Is that why I shun digital... or just too 'in my comfort zone'? One thing for sure, they aren't for portfolio....................... oh shit.

Looking at her thinking too much kind of reminds me of myself... What ifs and what ifs. Thinking of step 4 when I'm not even at step 1 yet. Probably the chat became a slap in the face for both of us as I began to wonder why did I stop thinking about becoming a mangaka. Was it the SPH thing that i realised manga isn't really what I thought of? I'm empty when it comes to stories... the thought of collaborations crossed my mind. Shawn wanted to rope me into his group of colorists for his upcoming book, but I had been wondering if I was up to the job. Think after this chat, maybe I just check out what he's up to...

Bockingford Rocks Big Time

Expanding on the previous concept of <<如煙>>.
The most tortured piece of work to date:

The sketch on watercolor paper. Pretty fired up after seeing a picture done beautifully with salt technique. The texture was pretty much of the same feel as I wanted for the sketch, so I tried it out... I was unsure of the color that I want though... Wanted some moody feel, so...

Ack. Regret. Gave the surface a wash after that, and didn't know the pencil lines can still be seen. Somehow, I couldn't get rid of the bottom textures, but it looks pretty nice. Way too much salt there... and I wonder if the amount of water mattered to give the effect I want...?

Tried again... And it turned out ok. Back to the old palette.. I guess.

Added the lines with the water soluble ink (on purpose... Took me sometime to decide, cos I wonder if it'll come out too dark for the picture.) And it did... so I sprayed water on the picture, dried it, do it again... and decided to try the salt again. Dunno a good or bad thing, but I wanted to test how far the paper can go with that. And this time, the effect was minimal. Ah well... not good, destroy.

Couldn't think of any better way.

So shuang.

Gotta admit, this paper is amazing... the introductory paragraph on the watercolor pad was not kidding about 'extremely forgiving watercolor paper'.... Think it was ran under the tap many times, crushed and squeezed 5 or 6 times, washed with soap twice and it's still in one piece. O_o... During the process, I thought of smearing some prussian blue goauche on it, hoping maybe it get into the paper or something... Got a bit carried away with the washing, didn't realise how much water I've wasted there... and decided to stop and leave it to dry.

The ink lines then looked kind of faded, quite what I was hoping to get when I inked the picture. The texture on the back page looks even nicer....

Left it to dry while I tried to concentrate on working out the scenes for the collaborated animation.... Due to the wet weather, the paper didn't dry, and it was already night... So I just went ahead with the coloring. Watercolors won't work anymore on this one... since the translucence will just drown in the blues... my next immediate option was gouache, though I have no idea how to go about with it as the opacity will definitely cover up the lines...

Turned out pretty fine.

Yay! Feels like I ran one big round... heck.
