Ouch... Looks like it would hurt!!!! Wonder how strong the tail is --and whether it may helping hold him or not. Goodness--they are persistent little guys, aren't they?????

Thanks everyone! Just think what great abs this little guy has to keep up that postion and bending to and from the seeds. Seems like they would burn more calories then they consume! Helen is right....they keep me buying lots of seeds :-)

Mary: Those squirrels can get into the dardest positions.
Thanks....they have to be in tremendous shape with stomach muscles that allow them to bob up and down while hanging in precarious positions. They grab the food with their teeth and then use their paws to help hold it...seems even harder when I think about that.
