First up we have Liz from Child-hood dreams , having moved here from Austrailia in 2009 and in her own words she's "not going back! Liz now lives in North Yorkshire. She has been Knitting and sewing since she was a kid, starting off by knitting for friends and family, when people kept asking oh can you make me such and such being a keen crafter she never said no. When asked to make a keepsake by a friend from her wee girls clothes entrusted with such a special make Liz looked around and started researching patterns and tried a tester or 2 before she started and with such beautiful results she had many more people asking her. The reputation for care and trust while handling someone's previous baby memories is a mamouth task yet each time Liz not only meets their expectation but exceeds them creating delightful keepsakes many not yet on her Facebook page and that was the start of her beautiful business. Liz also crochets mainly in granny squares here's some amazing examples of her work. If you have a project in mind contact Liz via her Facebook page.
This is my blog covering my makes, page and some tutorials I will also be blogging about other crafts and artists/makers

Tea cups, sugar bowls and milk jugs
For the last few weeks I have been scouring the charity shops in search of tea cups, it's much harder than you think so many repurpose now and retro and Shabby chic is in again. Well anyways I did manage to find some teacups some are missing saucers so they will get done last but I did manage to find 3 very good sets (whoop whoop) so here are the first of my fairy gardens, sea scenes and Alice inspired pieces.

Mermaids in the making
After going to a jewellery beading class on Thursday evening, using blues turquoise which made me think of mermaids. So when I got home I got the felting kit out here is a progress shot.
I then decided to use some gorgeous beads to trim her tail and a wee she'll bead to finish her off hopefully I will be able to sort the step by step instructions for her, then she will be available as a kit with a canvas and easel to mount and display her on. I will be doing 3-4 variations with different tail colours and embelishments such as seed beads, sequins and beads.

Tea cups toadstools and Alice inspiration
This is the latest item I've been making is with the sugar bowl of a tea set as you can see I've got something of a bug theme going on. it's my take on something for an Alice inspired tea party. To complete it I will be adding a bright red toadstool in the centre. What are your thoughts guys ?
