My Favourite Five Cards Of 2012!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today I'd like to share

The fabulously talented DEBBY is asking us to share our favourite five cards of 2012 so as I'd joined in with 'My Five Favourite Christmas Cards Of 2012' I thought I'd join in again and here are my choices.....

First up is this little number which I love......

I made this for my dad for 'Father's Day'

My next pick is.....

I was really thrilled with how the blending turned out as these colours were so far out of my comfort zone....but it worked.....

My third choice of card is.....

I love all things 'Molly Bloom' and this was one of my first attempts using Kraft.

Next up is.....

I loved the papers on this card and I think I remember following a sketch for this one.

Last of my choices is.....

This just came together far better than I had planned and the flowers on the bottom right corner were handmade and they were so easy to make and so effective.

I could have picked a few more cards but 'Five' it says and 'Five' it is.

Thank you so much for stopping by

and 'Thank You' for all your support and lovely, encouraging comments over the last year.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

My Five Favourite Christmas Cards Of 2012

I thought I would take part in Debby's from A Scrapjourney's

Favourite Five Christmas Cards For 2012.

I did this last year and found it really difficult to choose my favourites and I have to admit to having the same difficulty this time around..

So here are the cards I finally settled upon.

For my first card I have chosen this one.

I love the simplicity of the black and white and I just adore this fabulous stamp.

For my second card I chose this little creation.

I was really pleased with how this turned out and I love all Bugaboo images.

For my third choice I picked this.

Again I think this is such a lovely image from LOTV and the papers were a perfect match especially as I'd coloured the image before picking my papers which I never do.....I always pick papers then colour my images.

For my next choice I picked this card out.

Another LOTV image....I was really pleased with the layout of this card and how it turned out plus it's a boy card and I just don't do many 'boy' cards.

Finally I chose this as my last card of 2012.

This is one of my favourite Penny Black Christmas stamps and I have used it so many times before, I was thrilled with how the hedgehog prickles turned out.

So that's my choice for this year although I could have picked quite a few more but there's always next year.

Thank you for stopping by.

Have a lovely afternoon.

A Little Christmas Tweet

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

Today it is my turn to share an inspirational piece over at Gems Of Inspiration so as I was getting a little fed up with making Christmas cards I thought I would try my hand at a gift bag.

And here it is.

Front View

Side View

I used this sweet digi image from Pink Gem Designs called Robin With Mistletoe to use on the gift tag. I coloured the image using Promarkers and the papers are from my scraps box. I used my circle and scalloped circle nesties for the tag and the border punch is from Martha Stewart. I finished off by adding some Stickles to the little robin's hat, a pearl for the Mistletoe berry and liquid pearls for the snow flakes.

I found the tutorial for this cute little gift bag here.

A Sassy Get Well.....

Good afternoon everyone.

I hope you are all well.

My lovely partner (yes I did say that if you are reading this) asked me to make him a 'Get Well' card for a friend of his who has just had major surgery.

Well I don't really do men's cards very well and certainly not many 'Get Well' cards....thankfully......but this is what I came up with......

The image is a digi I picked when I was lucky enough to win a challenge sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps last year.....she is Sassy Gal Nurse and I think she is just the job for this card. The papers are a mixture of scraps from my huge pile of off cuts which I'm trying very hard to use up.....I have coloured the image using Promarkers and the brads and spacers are from The Hobby House.
