I also really enjoyed making so many new friends thru volunteering! though i was stuck at HQ most of the time, some days it was interesting because of all the stories the other DLOs had and we were watching the games live on a big screen, though wishing i was there too..some days, really wishing i was out there..haha
Got my first day out on 15!!! took over another DLO who took a day off..i was so happy when i knew the day before, the thing is there wasn't much activities on 15 since it was towards the end of sea games, so was waiting ard in the hq room then hotel room till 5pm when we finally went out to watch the squash semi-finals! met raymond the driver, he's a pretty nice guy! anyway although we were late reaching the venue, the game had not started as the previous match was still ongoing, so we headed off only after the phil match ended, it was alr 6+ then, and my principal wanted to head to sepaktakraw because it was the first time they entered finals..it was quite a close match! but my heart was at bball since it was the finals as well..finally when the sepaktakraw match ended, we quickly headed towards the ocbc arena for the bball finals!! the atmosphere was simply electrifying! and it was super crowded! it was a great match, too bad singapore was not in the finals, if not it would have been even greater :)
Yst was closing ceremony day but i had started duties at 9am, but ard 11am was waiting ard for Ira to head to tung lok because Mr Camacho wanted to treat everyone in the Phil grp to lunch, including the roving DLOs! Yay! Thank God for his generosity! So we got to eat the tung lok buffet thanks to him! After which, Ira and I took a ride from Jane's car to the hotel, when Kristel called us asking us if we wanted to go watch water polo, it was damn eipic, we knew it was the final quarter due to the live telecast so we were rushing in like mad..when we finally reached aquatic centre, we managed to watch only the last 20 sec of the game, but we managed to watch the last goal..damn eipic.! we stayed to watch the victory ceremony before heading back to hq and slacked ard in the hotel room till 6pm..before heading over to national stadium to meet jj and zeph for closing ceremony..i had used a normal ticket to enter, only then had i realised how awesome the accreditation pass was and how great its advantages was..went in ahead to get seats as jj was a little late..was feeling a little nostalgic when the closing ceremony started, which meant that seagames was officially going to end, and my volunteering for seagames 2015 would be coming to an end as well...though was quite disappointed with how the overall closing ceremony was as there was only technically 1 act, which was kinda confusing..oh well, at least i got a medal :)

on thu night, just before good friday, james, zeph and i went over to jean's house for a sleepover, it was in preparation for our cookout brunch on Good friday before heading for cell in the afternoon..we had headed over after dinner so we were chilling and playing some wii games, trying to stay up late but we ended up sleeping anyway cause there was cell the next day..we woke up earlier the next morning, where jean and james were in charge of making breakfast cause they were the cooks and the rest of us, well, we helped whenever we can..it was a really yummy breakfast and jean made banana cake too :)
5th april was our baptism day, we walked all the way to parkway parade and headed to sarah's house after to play board games..apparently parkway parade was a really long way even though i said it was quite near..haha! but everyone walked with me anyways, it's good exercise!! :)
we had bond team celebration on the 10th at playnation to mark the ending of our term and to close with debriefing/thanksgiving..bball on the 11th with zeph, sarah and jing yi was really fun!! we got to play with some lion dance ppl as well, think they were there for some competition? :)
also went for diving exhibition on 12th, right after church even though I only knew about it in the morning thru elsa. it's awesome man! really really interesting! sadly since my last diving trip with sammy, haven't gone for any dives yet..really really want to go..
and after work one of the weekdays, went for a krav maga trail at protect (clark quay) with my boss, we wanted to try it out because the ladies in our office were thinking of getting a kapap instructor down during lunch to teach..so we wanted to find out the difference btw kapap and krav maga..it was super fun man! intense! really enjoyed myself! tried out the kapap a few days after and that was really boring..for me lar, cause krav maga had more actions :p went to krav maga trail at krav maga global (Serangoon) on sat morning to see which krav maga place was better and it's less intense than the one at clark quay but their technique teachings are much better so i signed up for a 10 lesson package..before heading for worship prac in the afternoon
preparations for seagames had already begun, went to collect my pass on monday morning, had airport fam on 23rd where we walked alot ard in the airport, learnt abt the staff passages and other fun facts about the airport..
on sunday, 19th had spontaneous cookout at james' place with janice, paul, jemima and james of course..then on monday at work, we had a FGD which had only 1 person :s, so awkward, then went to watch avengers with esther at night
there were some bball matches going on because of SEABA, so on tuesday morning i decided that i wanted to watch bball since i was already at stadium for my protocol course, it was really great! wanted to go for wed too but went for krav maga classes instead..
on labour day, went to cold pantry with zeph to try out their chocolate root beer waffle..it's some charcoal vanilla flavoured ice cream on a chocolate-battered waffle. it's a really interesting combination and was quite tasty! it's definitely worth a try because it's just different from any other ice cream and waffles..JJ decided to join us and we headed for coffee nearby before heading over to OCBC Arena to check out the SEABA matches..it was the final day for the competition..JJ suggesting going early because a mass of some ppl would also go and chope seats..which thankfully we did because if we had gone any later, we probably would not have gotten good seats that were tgt..most of the ppl who were watching the malaysia vs laos match were staying to watch the next match which was Singapore vs Philippines..james happened to be stuck outside, but he managed to come in and join us in the end..thank God! the match between s'pore and philippines was intense! it was a close fight in the first half, even in the 2nd..all our hearts were beating like crazy for s'pore as we watched them battle against the philippines team..there was a guy seating in front of us who was pretty annoying and rude during the game. and it didn't help that he and his friend had decided to chope a few seats the previous match and their friends didn't even turn up..there were so many other ppl who were already in and standing around..we were just so annoyed at them. anyway, it was a great game and i'm glad i went to watch it even though it would have been better if s'pore had won the match :)
this trip must really thank God for the good weather, because just before i went out of the house to meet rhonda, the skies threatened to rain, but it didn't! and the weather wasn't sunnily hot! if not we wouldn't be able to walk around and explore..and for the banana shop to be open! the banana cake is really yummy!! i regret not buying more :( it just melts in your mouth.

Today - Stadium venue familiarization for Seagames
-met jie hao for dinner on thu, went to korean dessert after dinner..the dessert was really nice! :) didn't know it was his birthday that day as well, so i bought a cupcake as a present..the guy at the dessert place somehow knew it was his bday also, either from the cupcake or when his fren we met wished him, we got an extra scoop of match ice cream..yummy :)
-met rhonda and hl on fri to buy yq present at dhoby, at first we didn't know what to get for her but we managed to find a present :)
-had frisbee on sunday, it was so tiring, all the drills and stuff..most exercise i did that month but it was really fun :) josh and his friends came like 1 hour later, just in time to play the frisbee game..they managed to skip all the drills and stuff..hmmph..
-had spmf appreciation day on 1 oct, it was different from last year, we sat around tables now, and we -had performances this year too, it was kinda interesting :)
-met chee chung for dinner on thu at ion orchard to catch up..i also headed over to lucky plaza to change money for my bali trip :)
-had lunch with soon meng, sheena and ji li and the wagyu beef at holland! this is is lieu of me finishing the FY09 report :) whoohoo! really enjoyed my wagyu beef treat! it's super nice! :)
-had a ramen dinner with grace on 6th at the place near cuppage plaza, it's pretty nice, the gyoza was not bad also..we headed for dessert after, we went to 313 to see if there was any dessert place and we ended up with costa coffee which has really nice cakes! :) really had a good time catching up with grace, haven't seen her for like over a year already ..
-didn't have work from 6 cause it was a holiday, had a excel course on 7&8 which was pretty interesting, then went back to work on thu morning because there was the financial briefing which i had to emcee for, but after that went off in the afternoon to catch the plane at 6+..
bali trip
on 9th evening we took the plane to bali. we waited like an hour for immigration, super long! kesuma was waiting outside for us, we headed to our first accomodation..place looks alright..but so hard to sleep cause of all the noises.
we headed to padang bay from our accomodation, we were almost reaching about 5 more minutes drive, but there was a jam because of an accident, we took an hour :(
we got to take the fisherman's boat, where we were on it for 2 dives till lunch then went to dive again
1st diving, we saw submarine! we were waving and the tourists inside were busy taking photos of us, haha, super fun! ;)
3rd dive was at channel point, we saw 2 sharks! but the currents were super strong cause it was near where all the boats were coming in and out. got one point where wayan was so far in front, sammy was in front of me and managed to catch up with wayan, i just remained at my spot for awhile, couldn't move in front anymore :( current too strong for me..haha. good thing we werent going in that direction
next day's dives were at amed, it was a short half an hour drive there and it's really pretty!
last day of diving at tulamben uss liberty, it was right at our door step! so we just geared up at our resort and went in to see the wreck through shore dive..
7th dive (morning dive), it was 6am when we entered the sea, but since the sun was just coming up, we could see the sea animals still..we saw some bumpheads, sea turtle,
8th dive, we dived back at the uss liberty shipwreck
9th dive, we went in again and headed to the coral place, we saw like huge fishes!
we saw so many things in all our dives!! too lazy to list all..but one thing we regretted was that we weren't able to bring down the camera for the 1st dive because it was our refresher dive, which was one of the best dives! because we saw a submarine and SOO much other stuff!!!
really enjoyed our 9 dives and I will definitely go diving again :)
our dives ended by noon, and we headed over to our next accomodation, the one we booked from airbnb, but it was hard to look for the place..we had to walk 10min to the beach..
we spent the next day chilling and headed over to kuta art market to shop..wanted to find the guy who carves flower soaps but he's not there anymore :(
went back to work on wed cause there's a big meeting which i was supposed to be in charge of, but since i was overseas, my colleagues covered for me..thank God that everything was alright and the meeting went smoothly..:)
we had xlb on thu where we were supposed to have 14 ppl at first, but they slowly backed out and we ended up with 6 ppl..but better, more time to talk to the whole group..
had a vwo visit on fri at silver circle serangoon, it's really really big man! the biggest vwo i have visited..
-met sally the previous friday to catch up, usually we head to cafes to chill but this time we decided not to, cause we sort of ran out of cafes and tanjong pagar and didn't know what cafes to go..so we met at star and I brought her to the gan yakitori place to eat..grilled eel set :) yum yums..it was a good catch up..
-after soccer min started and most of our sundays were spent going to the soccer matches to support them, we kinda forgot what we used to do, so we found it hard to think of where to go..but last sunday after church we headed to orchard central for ewf..quite productive! at least we were wrpf-ing in the right place agn! need to start the motion going agn :)
-monday soon meng treated the 3 of us to lunch at crystal jade to thank us for organising the briefing, at times like this, i really thank God for the wonderful boss He has given me..not only my boss is friendly and nice, he's easy-going too and fun to joke around with..really really thank God for placing me in the right team..had such a full lunch that i couldn't eat much when i met hui ling for dinner at the gan yakitori place again..apparently the grilled eel was super delicious to her too :) seems like that place is a hidden treasure, i'm glad it was discovered :) we had a good chat, though it really made me think about my best friend again..
-tuesday seems to be a weekly rest day for me, so thank God for that..
-wed had ehs, since i wasn't able to go for the last week's one, this was the first session for me..so many ppl..but interesting to see how God will work using this EHS to strengthen/build our church..
-met eric on thu for dinner, some guy i met on the diving trip,..he was trying to convince me to go diving trips..it was actually quite alright for someone whom i've only met for a short period of time..got some japan information out of him too :)
-had met grace before ehs on wed to collect 2 F1 tickets from her, which she was able to get for free cause of her friend..thank God for blessing me with 2 free tickets to see F1 for the first time :) so my tickets were for fri..esther came with me to check it out..we got stopped awhile at security cause i kinda had food and drinks..i could get rid of the drinks, but the food was given to me by my colleague from overseas, how to throw away or eat it on the spot! so i kinda negotiated..:) anyways, we kinda get lost cause we didn't really know how to navigate in there..crossing the overhead bridges above the track amplified the car sounds so it was really loud, but when we finally got to our destination, bay grandstand and made it to our seats, well sort of..it wasn't that loud anymore..so we were sitting there watching the cars go by and listening to the commentators, taking selfies..there was this portion on screen where they showed those who hash-tagged sg grand prix, and the first photo that came out was cai yi's photo! haha..we stayed there till about 9.45pm where we decided to head to the padang stage to check out mayday's performance..they were due to come on at 11.10pm..but we were a little early so we went to explore the other areas first..i got to try changing a tire of an F1 car! super easy..but i took more than 3 seconds, which was the average timing that they do during the races itself..we were still early, so we managed to secure a frontal position near the stage to see mayday..after a 40min wait and realising that everyone ard us were mostly chinese-speaking and listening to their opening song, we left 5 min ltr..prob cause it was chinese + they didn't really sound that good and we didn't know their songs..ah well, we tried..we decided to walk to dhoby cause city hall was gonna be congested, miss our last bus and had to call home for them to pick us up..all in all, it was a pretty interesting experience, but there was a lot of walking involved..doubt i would want to go again unless there's a band i know playing, then i wouldn't mind.
-yst we had a recee for yay campsite and sat down to discuss more on the games as well, it's well in the works and praying that we'll be able to meet our target campers..thank God the rain did not shower its blessings upon us until we were done with the recee and were in the car heading towards vivo city for lunch..after which, came home to prepare the house a little for sushi party, then went out again to meet ee chun and hilary for dinner, we had a good catch up and chat..i really enjoy meeting them :)
-today we had worship duty..had a sushi party that evening..so i had been cleaning the house for a few days, my sisters were like saying that i should have friends over more often..haha! josh came over the earliest, then yq came..we headed over to ntuc at 4 cause rhonda and hui ling were still on their way..choosing what to buy to put in the sushi was really hard..haha..rhonda and hui ling came to ntuc to find us and we headed back to my crib..we started cooking all the ingredients to put inside the sushi & mash potato, everyone had a different job, also prepared the chawamushi and apple crumble..we took quite fast to prepare everything by 7, we were already starting to eat..although i felt like the chawamushi and stuff not really up to standard..:( i need to practice cooking more..but we'll deal with it when the time comes :) after dinner, we played monopoly for awhile but never got to finishing it because tay needed to leave so since i could use the car, sent everyone to the mrt station..
somehow this season i enjoy meeting up other ppl :) quality time..one of my love languages :)
had cell bbq lunch on sunday to celebrate the september babies, eat until so full but it was pretty fun :)
last friday yin ting and i went to star vista, we happened to go to a never visited japanese restaurant..they had a sept promotion! grilled eel set for 13.60! omg! damn good! the grilled pork that yin ting got was also super nice! I need to go during lunch to eat the grilled pork! we were so full after!
on sunday after cell, we were supposed to go to cafe fest, in the end cause we realised that we will not be able to get any food there, we decided to go to another place..jj, eugenia and I went to mbs there to check it out on sat, but it ended alr so we ended up watching some water show and eating manhattan's at marina square..anyways, for sunday, at first we wanted to go to espressolab but we went to bugis which was their old place..so in the end we ate at bugis junction with 12 ppl, then 9 ppl headed to symmetry, which was a cafe nearby..and ended with 4 by the time we went in cause the rest went lan..the 4 of us were zeph, julian, jj and me..first time I ever sat down with julian to chill even though we're childhood friends..haha! it was really interesting..and the truffle fries at symmetry was yummy :)
yst went to meet rhonda and yq at nus after work, we played with lanterns and sparklers
finally after so many years! we had no lighter so we had to find someone with a lighter..we managed to go onto the rooftop and found someone with a lighter, they were prob smoking..but we managed to light one candle and it lasted us the whole entire time! we finished all our candles and we walked from utown to kent ridge terminal, super far but quite fun cause we finished our sparklers on the rooftop alr so we needed somewhere to walk to carry our lanterns..so we walked. haha..
then today we went for food tasting for d&d..the food was alright but some of it weren't that nice, the only nice ones was the ox tail..hopefully ppl will have too much fun at d&d to notice whether the food is nice.. :|
Day 1
Went to blue reef by 6.45..however, we only left at 7.30pm..and we got caught in a jam so we only reached the customs ard 8.30pm..Along the way to mersing, almost everyone was asleep. Couldn't really sleep so finished watching the shows on my phone and looking out..it was dark enough to see the stars! we got to mersing ard 1am..we loaded our diving gears on the boat before heading to riverside hotel where we stayed the night..we had supper till 2 before heading back to bathe..only slept after 3.30am. so late :(..was tired but couldn't sleep because derek was snoring really loudly..everyone had to meet by 5.30am..but we like woke up at 5.15 and were the last ones to reach the meeting point..walked back to the boat to head towards tioman..it was a wooden boat but it was really nice to see sunrise from a boat..:) so peaceful for that 3 hours towards tioman! :) Met alot of ppl the past 3 days during pool sessions as well as the ride to tioman.
Day 2
once we got to the island, they briefed us on our bunking..ours was near the common area so we could have wifi! that is, if we could connect to it :) the room layout was quite simple but there were a lot of earthworms in the toilet. Anyway we headed to the dining area for breakfast. They have really nice soup! After eating n changing into our swimwear, we headed out to the jetty to take the boat out for our 1st dive! Josh was my dive buddy :) Our first dive was mainly drills but it was cool cause there were fishes ard to look at while we waited. We also saw sea urchins and a sea slug. it was amazing! The bottom was made up of fine sand so we had to be careful of our movements to avoid compromising the visibility. Saw a big butterfly fish as well..after which the drills ended and we ascended..josh had really low pressure left this first dive but subsequent dives he managed to save alot of air, which was good cause we got to dive longer :) We headed back for lunch first before going for our second dive..we went back to the same place where we did a few more drills..hovering, finning and exploring the dive site a little.
We headed to our next dive site, supposingly the shark place but the current was too strong so we headed over to monkey bay..There were a little more fishes here..we just got to go ard the corals to see..so interesting! I think this is the one with the crazy massive coral bed that filled the entire floor..there were corals all over! And We saw like this huge cuttlefish! Freaking cool! seriously diving is really awesome! it's a whole new world underthere, and you don't need a magic carpet for it :p
After ascending, we headed back to the resort..by now everyone had shifted to the bow of the boat to sit cause there's like a lying area there and it was cool being there :) we also took lots of group pictures..irvin came over pretending to take a photo but in fact he was videoing for ashar to creep up from behind and splash us with ice water..! we headed straight for our bbq dinner cause we were all like super hungry..the food was really yummy man..but the fish had alot of bones that needed to be taken out..we had a little time to bathe before meeting agn at 8.45 to do our log books for the first time..basically we just copied each others..or Irvin. haha..He went through how to go about doing the log book..after signing and gng back to take our wallets, we headed to the prata place for supper..they had been praising the banana prata and the bomb prata..but I was so disappointed with the bomb prata cause it was thick and not alot of the stuff inside. Banana was alright only..shared half each with yu sheng so that can try more prata :) we hung ard the prata place to talk abit more till like 12..but we were all super tired alr. Then the 4 of us went to take a walk to see what else was there, there wasn't much though..we headed back and just knocked out..this time there was no snoring. But ard 5am there was like really heavy rain, could hear..it stopped awhile and started agn..
Day 3
breakfast time was at 7.30 so we had to wake up at 7..after breakfast we headed for our 4th dive..by now the front of the boat has become the hang out spot..the advanced ppl were at the same diving spot too..
Dive 4 was at the marine park...the fishes were huge here..and we did a bit of navigating before exploring..when everyone was done with navigating..we took out like the bottles of bread that we brought down and fed the fishes..super alot of fish came..and some of them keep biting on our fingers thinking it was bread..damn amazing.! :) saw an unpuffed puffer fish, other fishes, huge sea cucumbers and we saw a wreck! Cool shit..damn alot of corals and small fishes hanging ard it..:) we soon came up and then had time to swim ard cause we needed some surface interval time before diving again..the salt water damn salty (like duh) but it was damn shiok to swim in it without the wet suit..wanted to try to dive properly but josh pushed me in before I can even position myself..:s..after awhile we headed towards the shark place - renggis, was super beautiful! Lots of fishes and beautiful corals..On the slope and everything..damn cooll.! there was a current going on but it didnt bother us cause we were gonna let the current bring us further down.. There was like a metal structure which we swam thru as well as a treadmill on the sea bed..lol..whoever put it there..josh picked up this cushion star and brought it to irvin..irvin gave the huh-wow face..lol..damn funny to see in the water...will nv forget his expression man..we also saw a huge sea turtle! Josh tapped me asking me to see..I was too busy looking at the corals! Then I saw it and I was omg! Sadly we didn't see sharks..at least we got to see a turtle..irvin was bringing mayee to see the turtle which was swimming away against the current. But mayee and derek said they didn't see it..:( we swam for bout 40min before ascending. Irvin blew up the orange long thingy with his alternative air source to signal to the boats that we were there..did a safety stop before ascending to the surface..so awesome I didn't wanna go back up...trying to spend the last few minutes trying to spot a shark but to no avail...when we went up to the surface it was raining. But by the time we boarded the boat the rain stopped alr..we spent our last few moments at the front of the boat just chatting and takin photos..sheila and I went for a short swim on the beach before heading back to have lunch with the rest..damn shiok! the water damn clear..then while I was bathing, my 3 roommates went to get drinks, leaving me all alone :( but oh well..and josh had to spoil my drink by putting chewing gum in it..:( we did our last log in our log books before heading to the jetty to wait for the boat to mersing..and we got our ramily burger 5 ringgit! Yum yum! :) at first I joined bear and raven (nicknames) from the advanced dive out at the front of the boat..they really damn funny..and they kept teasing may ee about that one guy after awhile with more and more people coming to the front, and with forecasted rain coming, irvin got us all to go behind..went up to the 2nd deck where we stayed for the whole ride back to mersing, with stafanie loaning us the speakers, it was pretty cool just chilling up there with the wind in your hair, waves splashing, music playing..the go pro also got several 'revealin' videos of ashar ++..gonna miss this group of ppl man..oh and apparently the 2 open water divers who live on board got to see way more and go a deeper depth! so envious! so gonna live on board the next round! had some interview session with enver on the bus..quite interesting..
gonna miss this entire group and diving dearly :(
i hope to dive soon! and next time, i'm definitely going to live on board! it'll be such a different experience! omg, i can't wait! and i wanna go so many places to dive too!
- went for sports hub opening where they had 2 world records broken :) though was disappointed when the fireworks was just on the ceiling & they didn't open the ceiling :( was kinda looking forward to that..the stadium is huge though, but the sound system at that time was really bad, prob cause we were at the back, but still, it should be surround sound but sadly it was not.
- went for rhond's grad, we all got to go in to watch her and we had supper after that too! rhon's dad drove all of us home! so nice! Congrats rhond!
- cousin's outing at a buffet in kovan, we split into 5-4 and we ordered like 15beef, 15 pork, and our table was dying, we were super full! anna went there and she ate more veggies than meat, think she had about 3 plates worth..haha!
- presentation course which initially i dreaded, but turned out to be really fun! and Anne our instructor was really good, she taught us alot of skills and videod us presenting. it was an interesting experience though :)
- taiwan trip! it was totally awesome! wrote everything in my travel journal, there's just too much to blog about! had a really awesome time with the gang and taiwan is really just filled with awesome places to go as well as awesome food! the weather up in the mountains is seriously damn shiok! other than the mountains, it's as hot as singapore..
- family dinner on 2nd Aug to celebrate popo's bday..
- had gone to blue reef to register for the diving trip so i had the diving books to pass to the rest, so we met up at itacho sushi at star vista for that reason..met derek for the first time to pass them before the diving trip..
- had ssnnet kick off at tessashon civil service club on 5th aug, it was quite interesting..they talked about the new ssnet and they had an activity, where they got us to make a community model, quite interesting where each table put tgt the buildings tgt :)
- there was a core group meeting at orchard central on thu, to plan for the cell outing the next day (national day eve), which was a cell outing overnight at church..we had gathered in church and started on icebreakers..the drawing telephone line game which took longer than expected but was really fun! the difference in drawings even though it was just copying was really astounding..then we had like started the proper games, we did fashion show, drinking orange syrup running man style, marbling, we had to cut certain games cause we were taking longer than expected, than there was running man where we had to solve some maths questions, do sudoku, find pieces of paper that says omega 3 hidden all over the place..after that we played mafia till 4am then we went to sleep, only to have to wake up at 8am to pack up the place for the worship team..we headed over to prawn mee place to have breakfast! i think food really helps to bond ppl :) went home to rest agn a little more before heading over to mab's house to celebrate national day as per family tradition :) lots of awesome food as usual and durian too!!! whooo!! fams the best man :)
- went on course agn, but this time it was a minute writing course so it was a little boring compared to the presentation course, met hl and yq to study for my divin test after the course on monday..had the whole book of diving to read cause i left it to the last minute. the test was on tuesday..but it turns out that they were going through the syllabus before the test and irvin the instructor helped out alot..the test was really easy :) we worried for nothing..haha..
- there was yay meetin on wed..had ot till 7, the latest so far (thank God), so straight after work, had to head over to a.agnes place for the meeting..at least it's nearby so i could walk over, was still one of the earliest :) we ended at 11+, so was really tired by the end since the past few days had been going home late..
- was finally free on thu but friday had worship prac, cc joined team 2 for the first time..after worship prac, some of us (yuzhi, shu en, rachel lim, elsa, hilary, u.peter) went to eat durian! yum yumz :)
- the next sat we celebrated mama's bday at ite amk..had had lunch with third uncle during the week cause he lived near my workplace and i had met him by chance, it was really interesting to have lunch with him..during the dinner, our first uncle and aunt decided to sit at our table and it was really interesting too! got to know more about them and their work with God, they really do whatever the spirit tells them to do, and it's really awesome..anna was just listening happily while i asked all the questions and talked with them..haha..it's nice to have a good conversation with the relatives once in awhile :) really enjoyed myself while talking to them
- had watched the last soccer match our team played..we were on par 1-1 during the first half! but we lost during the 2nd half, so that marked the end of our soccer season this year..
- the following week went out the whole entire week!
damn tiring, out on monday for an appt..
rhonds bday on 19th, where we went to sushi bar at far east, the food is not bad, but not enough..we headed over to paris baguette at wisma for dessert and to get a cake, their pudding there is seriously awesome man! super nice!
pool sessions on wed & thu, it was out at outram secondary sch, damn ulu..josh and i headed over there on wed not knowing how far we had to walk, and we met like 8 other ppl who were doing open waters during the same trip as well (excluding mayee, derek and mr choo cause they did on sunday), my fins were a little loose, so they said they had to give me kids fin, haha..the first time using the gear was kinda scary but kinda cool at the same time, breathing under water and looking up under the waters with the light shining through is amazing (had alot of this when we were diving ;)) they taught us all the basic skills, we ended close to 10..josh and i were hungry after washing up so we headed for supper, since no one gave us a ride out, we had to walk out, take a bus and dropped off at clark quay..we reached ard 11 and all the shops were close, so we had to eat like cheers food at the side of the road, haha..the pool session on thu was split up with the 2 of us and mabel and eric with irvin, and the rest with ashar..we did a few more skills and finning and ended earlier than the day before..this time we had fareez giving us a lift..josh, yu sheng and i headed for some supper at the frog porridge place..mabel, eric and their rescue water fren coincidentally came to the same place for supper, so we all sat tgt and had a good chat..the fren was telling us all abt his previous dive :) super interesting..
then came the diving trip..more on diving trip in the next post
thus ended the busy week :)

had an fsc network the following day at 8.30am at orchard hotel + dental appt at night, so i didn't really get to rest much after the crazy week..i also had to get slides ready for boon kien's approval for the upcoming briefing next wed..but thank God that this week after work i have no plans, so kinda a relaxing week after a hectic few weeks..time to rest. :)
started zumba on 27th May for the first time, quite interesting..but all of us who joined the class at NCSS were quite stiff..a lot of hip shaking, haha..also tried out muay thai try out yst..when we first went into evolve quite intimidating! they were having brazilian ju jutsu right at the door! so we went in, into a nice changing room and then went to join a group..warm up was ok. then sharon and I had a 1-1 with the instructor because we were new so he wanted to get us up to speed..

went up with the advance party for church camp, so slack! played some bowling, watched a movie cause the keys could only be ready in the afternoon the next day..thank God the hotel was quite good, so everyone was able to get their keys on time..was abit distracted during this church camp but during the yay R&R, had some time for reflection..really enjoyed my time with friends though, but we didn't get our games night on the last night! because some ppl wanted to watch a movie :( ended up with just joseph, zac and me..zac was sleeping away..so joseph and I had a htht..was abit agnst on the last day of church camp because those staying for R&R nv listen to instructions for the room keys..but it's alright..the bonding activities during R&R is really interesting..:)
achievement unlocked: total of 5 movies in a month in the cinemas! (x-men, malificient, how to train a dragon 2, edge of tomorrow, like father like son)
