I've got to post something before I get more behind than I already am. Here are some pictures of our day at the US Open! After this post, I posted some other pics of things we've been doing. More to come.

Running and Rolls
We finally entered and ran our first family run. A whoppin' fun 5K! A friend of our is a dula and told us about this run put together to help raise money to build a birthing center in the city! It took place at Prospect Park in Brooklyn, similar to Central Park. McKay slept most of the way and was so cute looking up at us from the stroller but man, it is so much harder to run pushing that thing. We hurried home to watch conference and continued the tradition of making some yummy cinnamon rolls.
Mets and Mormons
McKay was SO excited about watching the "backetball game."
By the end of the night he finally got it that it was an "ase ball" game!

Despite what it looks like in these pictures there was a great crowd that night. Not many Mormons would want to miss FHE with the Mets and not to mention the missionaries singing and signing the National Anthem!

Tubing Trip
So back in August, Tal was in town just for the weekend before he moved here and we all went on a tubing trip with the singles ward. We got to the church around 7:30 and loaded everyone on the bus. About 2 min. into the trip we turned around to change buses because the air conditioner was broken. The next bus worked great the whole way and we made it to a cute little town about 2 hours outside the city. Noah ad Tal went with the group down the river while McKay and I played in the water and took pictures of them at the finish line. McKay was so cute waving to every tuber that he saw. He absolutely loved that trip.
McKay couldn't wait to get on the tube and take a short ride.
He was in heaven in that water.

After they made it down the refreshing river ride we all went to a field to eat lunch and get nice and toasty in the sun. Then got back on the bus to head home and we found out the AC went out (how convenient). We road home getting re-drenched with our sweat. This picture is when we finally made it off the bus and got some nice fresh air. McKay insisted on having his binki and blanket the entire way home in 100+ degrees. That's when we knew we needed to ween him off. It was a memorable trip. Not only because we thought we were going to die of heat stroke but because we had a blast with Tal, the fam, and everyone in the ward AND because we left some dvds and the charger to McKay's dvd player on the bus. Dang it!
