Macarthur Under Contract

So, many of you asked if we were going to be moving into this home that we fixed up. The answer is no, originally we bought it as a rental property but then decided we will have to wait until finances are a little more stable to have a long-term investment. I am happy to report that we are under contract and that we should be closing in a few weeks. Levi has worked his buns off on this 4 month project! He did the majority of the work himself, had a little help with finishing the basement and help from brother-in-law Clair with electrical work. It is so nice being married to such a handyman. If anyone out there needs help with home improvement/renovation projects, feel free to give us a call! Levi did all the tile work you'll see and also cut the granite that is in both bathrooms. Anyway, here are the picts of this cute little 5 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. (Sorry, some of the notes aren't by the pictures very well. I've been working on this post for an hour and a half and am tired of playing with the way it looks. When I upload pictures it is now showing as text and it makes it very hard to work with - any idea how I can fix this?)

Before and after of the ouside. We didn't do too much. Just gave it a little TLC. Levi made the shutters.

Kitchen before and after. Much cleaner and cuter! Levi did all the tilework.

Main floor family room. Levi refinished the hardwood floors throughout the main.

Main floor bedroom. Nice paint, huh!

2nd bedroom on main.

Main floor bathroom. Wow, what a difference!

Stairway to downstairs. Not quite the green I would have chosen:)

Downstairs family room. Levi opened up two rooms to form the large family room. He also had to cut out larger windows in the family room and bedroom to meet code.

This was the scariest place in the house before. This room, (I think Silence of the Lambs was filmed here) became the 5th bedroom in the house. Much more inviting, don't ya think?

And this is the downstairs bathroom. It really changed the house to finish the basement. Levi did such a great job on everything!! There is also an upstairs loft-type area with two bedrooms. It was already in good condition and had been done recently when we bought the place so Levi just did a little touch-up paint and we called it good. The house also has a nice size backyard with two sheds. It really turned into a nice house and we enjoyed working on it. Hope you enjoyed the show!

Macarthur Home almost done!

So, this home that Levi and I bought this summer is nearing completion! Yeah!! I can't wait to post the before and after picts! Levi has worked so hard in updating this place while staying under a very tight budget! Until I organize the pictures these 3 will have to do. Taylor is trying out the kitchen and bathroom sinks....and also the basement toilet before it was installed. I don't think I've ever gotten a bigger smile! What can I say....it's the simple things:)

Taylor is 9 months!

Well, I can't believe that the warm summer weather is ending this week. The weather has been incredible and I suddenly feel in a panic to play outside with Taylor as much as possible! Taylor is now 9 months old! She is nearly 20 lbs and is 18 1/2 inches. I feel like we've just turned a corner to busy childhood land! She can crawl/scoot around to get anywhere she'd like. And of course, any activity we do lasts a mere 5-10 minutes. We are having less work with daddy days because when we go, not only do I not get anything done...we interfere with his work too. However, we visit daddy often and take him lunch! We are having so much fun with our little girl and love seeing her discover the world around her!
Here is Taylor sporting some of her nice pearly teeth! She has 8 total! A little over a month ago, she had only her 2 bottom ones and then all of a sudden, there was a new tooth in her mouth everytime I looked! She has just started a very cheesy grin, I will have to try and capture it sometime.

Taylor with cute cousie Noah! It is so fun living so close to Steph and Clair!
Here is a gigantic zucchini that was hiding from us. We found it as we were digging up our garden the other day. Taylor thought she had a long lost friend to play with!
Is this how you eat it?
