July updates!

We have had a great month so far! I am happy to report that I quit my job at Primary Children's as a nurse in the NICU! I am excited to be home and to function at a normal capacity. I can already feel a huge difference in my motivation, energy, and overall well-being. I plan on keeping up my license and going back to work someday. But until then, I will enjoy this absolute freedom of not worrying about scheduling, working holidays or graveyards! So, isn't this picture just adorable? Steph took it when we were having a swim day with them. Taylor is at a fun age - she has enjoyed going swimming a little bit this summer. She is a good little kicker and has even gone down the waterslide with me at Murray Pool!
Taylor and cousie Noah out for a swim day at Steph and Clair's house! These two get to see each other often which is so fun for us to watch them grow up together! Noah's little personality is really taking off - he's almost 4 months old! It won't be long before they are running around together!
"What mommy? I'm not doing anything!" Here I turn my back on Taylor for one second and she finds the one dangerous thing to play with in the room.....another baby! I guess Elise's (Cortney Smith's baby) cheeks were just too unbearably cute that she had to pinch them!
My two favorite people in the whole world! Aren't they cute?!Once again, the Ernest circus. Aunt Jan looks a little shocked! Taylor knows to put her arms out for better balance. The pair are quite an act and can do this for half a minute or so. I'm not sure how much longer daddy can keep up with it though - Taylor is around 17 lbs now at 7 months old!
Where this little lip came from, I'm not sure. She is making a new face just about daily. This is her current face when she's eating baby food. I promise she likes it!
Here is our first little garden. We have mostly the basics: tomatoes, corn, lots of squash, radishes, pumpkin, carrots, and peppers. We just harvested our first yellow squash and zuccini. Our radishes have been done for a few weeks but they didn't turn out so great. Gardening has been a fun project for me this summer and I am already planning what I'll do different next year! Taylor has really shown an interest in our food and drinks. She won't drink out of a sippy - she only wants our big cups. I have started letting her nibble or suck on some finger foods, like this biscuit. Baby carrots keep her occupied as well while we're eating our dinner.
This is another new trick. Taylor likes to cock her head to one side. I can't figure out why, but it is really funny to be talking or playing with her and then she just cocks her head for a minute. She has been such a fun baby!

Matt and Bobbi's wedding

Levi's brother Matt got married to Bobbi this past Saturday, June 28th! What a fun and special day that we were able to share with them. Unfortunately I didn't get too many photos as Taylor was very busy until she finally crashed, meanwhile Levi was busy being Matt's best man and videoing much of the events. What a cute couple they make. Bobbi, you looked absolutely gorgeous! And you didn't look too bad yourself, Matt. We love you guys!

This is the bride and groom with all of Matt's siblings.
Taylor's cousins Paige and Lauren.

Random picts of our little Taylor

At Bobbi's bridal shower, our cousin Robyn's girls, Ashley and Olivia were having so much fun with Taylor. It was so cute. They played with her, fed her and rocked her until she fell asleep. She was loving all the attention!
Here is Ashley holding little baby Noah (Steph's baby) at the shower. What a grin! It has been fun living close to Steph and Clair and watching Noah grow so fast!

Taylor is a happy baby - she is definitely filling out those cheeks!
This is the Ernest circus. Daddy and Taylor have been working on this act for weeks. Although she looks a little worried in this picture, Taylor actually really enjoys this time to show off! Any chance she gets, she is standing up.This is Taylor's new grandpa look! It is hilarious and makes me laugh so hard! She is quite the little ham!

6 month old Taylor

Our little darling is growing up so fast! Taylor is now 6 months old (which means it is 6 months until Christmas - sorry for the reality check!) I know it has been a month since I last did an entry, but I am feeling pretty good about myself if I post once a month! Hope you enjoy the updates! We are having a lot of fun with every stage!
If you think all the pictures of Taylor with big eyes is just coincidence....it's not. If her eyes are open, they are BIG! And they are busy looking around - she does not want to miss one thing!
She has to have a blanket across her face somehow in order to go to sleep. It's nice to see her cuddle with some object because if she's awake, she's way too busy to cuddle with me!
There's those big eyes again! She just makes us laugh all the time!
Out for a visit to our good friend Adrienne's house. She likes her buddy, 1 year old Zane and I think was jealous at how mobile he is.
And of course, always rolling over to her tummy! She is very aware of Avery, our black lab. Sometimes he likes to lie right next to her, I think he's finally come to grips and accepted the fact that she is sticking around for good.

Our week with the Browns

So, for the last week and a half Levi, Taylor and I have been at my sister Chantal's taking care of her 4 kids while she and Jeff went on a trip to Ireland. Wow, what were we thinking? Ha, ha, I'm just kidding Chantal. We really did have a great time with the kids, did many fun things, and enjoyed watching them interact with Taylor. I actually think she misses not seeing them every day. The above pictures are of Jake, Andrea, Jordan, and James. James is the 3 year old and is quite the character. He is super busy, even with his broken leg (he broke his leg from jumping off the couch, which he still continues to do). I just thought the picts were just too cute and couldn't resist sharing. All in all, it was a great week and even better birth control :) We love you guys!
