From Japan to Singapore!!!

My cousins are in town for summer vacations and of course I'm going to enjoy the weeks as if I the one havin vacation...

Happy-Go-Lucky Week

What can I say about this week? It was a cool week to spend w/o worries except for not hitting the targets of course!!!

Oh well on Friday it was a last minute plan as I dun wana go hm early from work so I called Fahmy up if he's available for dinner and set we went to my regular place Cafe Cartel. We chatted for hours and of course talked about our old members.

As we were about to meet his friends at Paragon and such a coincidence we mentioned his name and he was der! It's Firdaus Black aka Usher!! LOL!!!. We were pretty surprise to meet up after 5 freaking long years never meet up. Instead of going home we spent another 3 hours chatting and talking crap(the usual, some people just don't change) and at least I finally know what guys really think of me back in YSS!!!Nonsense!!! Of course I don't really get offended cos it was 5 years ago..haha oh well me too let out what I think of them back then!! but whatever it was, it's really nice to meet old frens and talk crap like before..hehe

Joey's back and came to Taka for a visit. Time flies so fast and I just realised it's been 9 months since I started in this company and still surviving...hehe of course lah. I'm a strong and patient gal who can get tru all the shits..new staff and was told I have to guide him and take care of him when Adelene not around...lol I can't!!! Cos he's too cute to guide and 'take care' of him..hehe....

It's already Sunday and was given another weekend off for the month. It's a day for the chicks. I'll go over to Pau's house after celebrating my dad's birthday. And thank God that the classic 32 Ford car is still available...

I really enjoyed this week cos it reminded me of the feelings I had about a year ago. It's about the security that I felt actually but nothing can be compared with last year...but expect the unexpected...;P

My career path...

I was browsing at the books area at Popular bookstore to look for some interesting books to buy. I saw a book which titled "Your future in Fashion". It's a local published book about the ultimate career guide for Singapore youth.

When I read I'm kinda 'proud' to see all the names I've heard and seen them. Who wouldn't forget their school at the 1st place? My Dean, Gladys was also featured in the book as well as my senior Raymond.

What the author mention is true. Nothing comes easy especially when it comes to this industry. But I'm blessed with what I have now and the wonderful experiences I've gone through for the past 4 years. It's been amazing I can climb that high to achieve what I've wanted since I was back in secondary school.

The most important things to survive through this fashion journey are to;

Be prepared to work really hard.

I can't possibly say that I work real hard but I did put some effort and being patient is 1 of the most important thing. People can push us real hard that I even cried( can't simply count how many times I cried in a week!!!) It's like going 'through hell'...

Manage your time

Time management is really crucial. As for me I don't even have the time for myself like I used to in the past. Meeting deadlines and planning ahead for projects and stuffs, Now u probably understand why I carry a PDA phone...hehe

Learn to be multi-tasking.

I remembered when I was a chairman for the fashion show, I need to do many things...yeah lots of things and additional to my school workload..haiz..it's real tough but it's worth it!!!

Use every opportunity to the fullest

Yeah I make use of the opportunity to work with others such as the models, choreographer, events organisers and of course working as an intern in a well known local production play where I get to work with talented Ivan Heng and designer Lai Chan. I get the credit by having my name in the book as well. And my design was publish in a magazine. And of course being featured on local TV as one of the budding designers in Singapore. Yup I did use most of the opportunity to the fullest! :)

Read, read, read

I read alot of magazines for the past years to see and update myself of the new trends and fashion. Now I have to stop buying. Online magazine is better. I have a room just for my fashion magazines and books. That's way too much for me to store more magazine in there!!!

After I graduate I'm one of the every few who are lucky enough to work with an international production which is known worldwide. I was given another opportunity to continue the journey with them but I turned down which I duno the reason why...

But I'm lucky enough to get to work in a designer boutique doing management. Though I'm being posted at the departmental store which initially I dun really 'approved' and like it, the pay is so much better den at the boutiques. One of the reason due to the different targets given to respective boutiques.

How long will my career path last?

It's a good question...

Time will tell...it's too early to make such decision. But I've planned things though...

Lazy week after all...

While the other week were full of happenings, this week I'm just freaking lazy. Slept for more than 10 hrs each day and got even more sleepy after I wake up from my long sleep...but at least the medications help to cure my cough and the flu :)

While I'm pretty lazy all the time, I slack as well. The newcomers seem to be doing even better then me. This cannot be happening. But it's ok it's only for this week. Give them some chances.hehe

My beloved father birthday is coming. I should have bought the thing earlier. Now it was sold out and it was a limited edition 1942 Ford miniature. Not really miniature. It's about 10 inches long..haiz..while my mom is all set to buy him a showcase to display all his car collections!!!

This week I'm still going to relax cos I know this month I can't hit target. Dun wanna stress myself. Reports can help me apart from the target..hehe

I'm not going to sleep early today. I'm going to update my PDA phone. I have not install anything since I got it..yeah...to put more files and games..hehe :P

In living memory of KoKo (1991-2006)

Got to know from my Mom that Koko had passed away a few days ago. He died of old age. Heard that the whole family cried. I felt sad too. I've grown up seeing Koko since I was 5. He was also a grandpa of Monshi. Whatever it is, he's the longest living Siamese cat that I've ever encountered. May his soul rest in peace...

Phew! What a week to encounter!!!

I'm on my bed now blogging...~coughing~ having fever again even though I have more than enough sleep for the past 2 days. It's not about the illness. It's about my body function I guess.

Last week it was indeed a week to encounter. I had fun though. But let me start from the beginning 1st k?

On Wednesday I attended Fad's Graduation Day at SP. It was so a yr ago..my Convocation Day(it's Graduation day duh!!!). I saw my former primary sch classmate Mitherpal, secondary sch classmate Wei Jun and Sharm. We have so grown up!!!! But really glad to meet old peeps and see that we've changed alot for the past years. As for me(ehich u can see from the pic) I wore all white. I have no idea why. Perhaps I want to look abit angelic??? haha

YSS reunion

In the evening, I had supper with the colleagues @ Newton Circus. For yr info my dad forbided me to go there!!!! Thanks to my mom!!! The reason for forbiding me to go there; it's a 'dangerous' place where there will always have fights. hahaha!!! I never heard of such things b4. but luckily it was indeed a peaceful night for us to have supper with different kinds of seafoods.

On Monday I received an sms that I was selected for the interview on Sat. I was estatic!!! But it was quite a short time to prepare. But I just give it a shot. To be selected to be in the finals, it was all up to the judges to decide. Yeah it was indeed a big competition in Singapore. It's the 'New Paper Face' competition 2006!!!

The Saturday had arrive. I woke up pretty early but feeling uncomfortable. Had bodyaching, and started to cough non stop. I look pretty horrible instead of looking good. Haiz..but somehow I just give it a go...

When I reached. plenty of gals have arrive. Some looked overdress, some looked bitchy, some looked 'fake' and some looked gorgeous!!!! I had to sit 4 a long period of time till my butt got numb!!! While waiting for my turn, I got to know this beautiful gal. I realised she's so like me or shud I say another version of me except she's much better looking den me... hehe. She's half Italian. Her name is Alesia.

Unfortunately I didn't make it to the finals. Perhaps I wasn't really prepared and was sick and been coughing throughout..if u r the judges wud u pick a sick gal? But at least I'm happy for my new fren as she got to the finals. Yeah!!! ;)

Not feeling disappointed or anything cos I have another event to attend at nite. It was Nora bday bash @ Tunnel. Thinking that I can go there straight after work but actually it started @ 12.30am. I spent the 2 hrs in Vincent's car to sleep. Then we reach Tunnel on Time but bday gal on her way so the 4 of us(Jessie, Vincent, Angel & myself waited for them in the car. We were quite shocked to see the big group of them(approximately 20 of them) all big sized and fully tattooed on their body. And yeah our fren is one of them. So we went tgr in the pub and my 1st time I encounter this; they zapped our IC. I hav this feeling that the place was not safe. I was RIGHT! 1stly it's because of the people there. Looked so uncivilised and I felt as though I'm in 'hell'.hehe I'm not talking abt my fren here. I guess I'll still stick to my regular place.

When I was in the tunnel I behaved myself to avoid any trouble. Angel got tipsy hence she became 'horny'...And w/o realising I slept in there as well. Wow I muz be really tired and sick till I can even sleep with loud music on!!!

Around 5 plus in the morning there were huge fights until police came. But thank goodness I was safe and sound sleeping @ hope. Got home ard 3plus. Temperature shot up to 38.2 celcius. Hence that wud be the 1st & th e last to go tunnel.

I cancelled another outing with my Nafa gals today as I'm still not well... Hope I'll get better tml..as I still have more events to attend this month!!!
