Milton

Afternoon all.
Well the household is literally 'bracing' itself for tomorrow, as amongst other things the eldest is having a fixed brace fitted - and he (nor the rest of us) are not looking forward to it. His biggest problem is that he was told he wouldn't be able to eat for 4 hours, so he thinks he will die of starvation.
Aside from that, I have just started preparing my paper piecing class for next week, and thought I'd share the first card with you all. The stamp is by Wild Rose Studio, and just seemed ideal for the technique. The fake brads were made by cupping some circles cut with the 1/2in Woodware circle punch (the yellow one), and the backing paper is from Craft Creations.
I'd like to enter it into;
Charisma Cardz - Christmas crafting
C.R.A.F.T. - fancy floral
Creative Inspirations - Christmas in September
Creative Card Crew - bloomin' marvellous
One Stitch At A Time - anthing goes
Incy Wincy - anything goes
Totally Gorjuss - Christmas
and finally
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - Christmas furry things
Hope you like it, and I'll be back soon.
Big Hugs Sharon xx

Autumn Is On Its Way

Evening all.
It's been a busy day today, a class this morning, then a very exciting trip to Asda this afternoon to buy food ready for our carnival party tomorrow. I hope the weather improves, as it's blowing a gale and raining at the moment, and I was hoping we could spread outside.
I was supposed to come in and start preparing the food, but got slightly distracted paper piecing this Pink Gem image instead, all because of a conversation about the technique during the class. I guess I'll just have to get up early tomorrow instead o make the cheesy feet.

I'd like to enter it in;

A Gem Of A Challenge - sketch

Stamp Something - fall colours

Crafty Sentiments - use your scraps

Sarah Hurley - autumn

Meljens Designs - autumn colours

Fresh Brewed - paper piecing

The Crafty Pad - embossing

Paper Sundaes - fall / Halloween colours

My Sheri Crafts - autumn

and

Craft Your Days Away - autumn doodles

I hope you like it, better go and do some things ready for tomorrow now.

See you soon :o)

My First Fab 'n' Funky DT Card

Morning All.
I was soooo excited to be asked to join the Fab 'n' Funky challenge DT, and here is my frst card for their 'Quote Me Happy' challenge this week.
I must admit, this was way out of my comfort zone, and sent me scurrying to the very back of the stamp drawer to see what I could find - and there at the bottom was this lovely quote by Champion Art Stamps.
This week we have a new sponsor - Fred She Said - and the random winner of this week's challenge will win a voucher to spend in their shop.
The team also need your help in choosing the October challenge themes - so we are asking you to vote for your favourite themes. So why not pop over and have your say.
You know me, I just couldn't resist sneaking this card into a few challenges;

The Corrosive Challenge - clean up and dust
Thanks for looking, and I'll hope you'll come and join us for this Fab challenge.

Fairy Rainbow

Evening all.
I had a lovely class this morning, and hopefully all the ladies enjoyed making their interactive cards. I came home, and thought I'd have a bit of a smurf round on the computer, and I happened across Sunflower Friends, from whom I may have bought a set of digital images, including this really sweet fairy spreading a rainbow. I thought it was really appropriate for a couple of challenges so just had to print it and have a play.
The background has been embossed with one of the new Crafts Too folders. The image was coloured with Promarkers, and the wings are highlighted in glamour dust. Finally I have sparkled the card up in the corners with some rainbow coloured bling.
I hope you like it :o)
The challenges I'm entering today are;
The Crafty Pad - rainbow themed
One Stitch At A Time - rainbow or colours from the rainbow
Die Cut Dreams - digital, sweet little girl

In The Bird House

Afternoon.
Just thought I'd quickly post my final Tuesday morning class card, which I have just finished. Again it is one of the new Lili of the Valley stamps, and Craft Creations paper - can you tell yet, that one of my very local shops has just started stocking these papers - it's all too convenient. The flowers were cut using my new Marianne Design Creatable mini poinsettia dies. I couldn't resist a bit of glittering for the snow, then I thought it needed brightening up a bit so added some red glitter baubles, but how do you stop the red getting into the white, even though I tried tipping the excess off away from the other colour lol.
Anyhow, I'd like to enter it in;
Cute Card Thursday - a tweet and a flutter
The Shabby Tea Rooms - fresh living
and
Pile It On - pile on the layers
Thanks for looking, and I'll be back soon.

Santa Wreath

Afternoon all, I hope your day is going well.
I have finally managed to get my camera up and running, to photograph this card, and continue trying to take pictures of the new charms for my shop, I managed 4 more charms before it died again, so they will be added shortly - please take a look if you have chance :o) Think I may have to treat myself to a new camera at the weekend.
I have reverted back to my favourite Lili of the Valley stamps today, to prepare a Christmas class for my Tuesday morning ladies.
This is the first card of three, using the new Santa image, coloured as usual with Promarkers. The backing paper is another by Craft Creations, and the backing card has been embossed using the Cuttlebug holly folder.

Thank You Lynne

Just a quick post to say a huge THANK YOU to my friend Lynne for designing my new signature for my blog - check out her fab digi sentiments, signatures and watermarks at Sentiments 4 You.

Also, please check out my little old shop - Ewe 2 Can Craft, as I have just had a delivery of charms - some are on now, and more are to follow later, once the camera batteries have recharged, it's been another one of THOSE days, can you tell.

Puzzling Snowman

Hello everyone.
I've been a bit sneaky with today's card as it is both my DT card for the next challenge at Lynne is In 2 crafting blog, and also my third interactive card for my class on Saturday.
The card has been made in the same way as a normal shaker card, except that I have punched holes where the snowman's buttons should be, and put 3 tiny ball bearings in the shaker box, the idea being you have to get the balls in the hole to make his buttons - its a bit like those puzzles you sometimes get in Christmas crackers.
The stamp is, Happy and cool, by Penny Black, which has been coloured with Sakura glitter pens. The design papers are both by Craft Creations, and the snowflakes were made from a Nestabilities set.
I hope you like :o)
I'd like to enter it;
Simon Says - holiday fun
Crafts and Me - gems and sparkle
Sarah Hurley - snowflakes
Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - children's Christmas
Sundays with Chrissy - sparkle and shine
My Time To Craft - jewelled
and
Tuesday Taggers - diamonds are forever
See you again soon, Sharon xx

Anyone For Badminton

Afternoon everyone.
I've just finished tweaking my second card for my Interactive Card class at In 2 Crafting on Saturday. I have had the Penny Black stamp - good game..., for a long time lurking at the back of a drawer, so when I got it out the other day it screamed slider card to me, so that is what I have done, so now the shuttlecock rolls between the two little characters. The backing paper is by Craft Creations and the flowers are some by Prima from my rather large stash. I hope the ladies will like it.
Anyhow I thought I'd enter it in;
Cards For Men - Long Summer Days
Penny Black Saturday - Men/Boys card
Pile It On - Pile on the Layers
Penny's Paper Crafty - Happy Birthday
and finally
Rosie D's - One for the Boys
I hope you like my creation - back soon with number 3 for the class - HOPEFULLY
Hugs Sharon x

Curious Cat Card

Hello everyone.
So sorry for disappearing from Blogland for such a long time - just had a few hand issues, and a total lack of inspiration.
I have made this card ready for my interactive card class next week, and its my first card for about 10 days - how bad is that!!! It has a shutter style opening on the front, which reveals a message when the card is opened, as the panels slide back. It has been adapted from an idea of a card in the book, Interactive Cards by Tanya Fox. I have changed the sizings, and apertures to match the stamps and punches I had available. The gemmed cat is from an Inkadinkadoo stamp set, as is the sentiment inside.
I'd like to enter it in the following challenges;
Charisma Cardz - Try something new (I've never made a card of this style before)
Fab 'n' Funky - "What 'eav"
The Creative Cottage - Celebrations
Penny's Paper Crafty - Happy Birthday
A Spoonful of Sugar - Animal crackers
My Time To Craft - Jewelled
Incy Wincy - Celebrate
and
Thanks for looking, and hopefully I'll be back soon,
Sharon xx
