Back To School

Evening all.
Well it's the last day of the little cherubs holiday tomorrow, then it's back to the school run - if I'm honest I'll miss having them around, although I won't miss the bickering.
This new image from Lili of the Valley, so reminded me of my boys on their first days at school, that I simply had to buy it (along with just a few others ). As usual it has been coloured with Promarkers. The backing has been embossed using the numbers folder for the Cuttlebug - which just seemed so appropriate for a back to school card. The sentiment is a digital, designed by my good friend Lynne, who has just set up her own online shop selling digi sentiments - Sentiments 4 You - why not pop over and have a look, she has just uploaded some fab Halloween designs.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges;
Incy Wincy - back to school
Fussy and Fancy Friday - back to school
Let's Ink It Up - anything goes - but use yellow somewhere
Stampin' for the Weekend - anything goes
Stamp Something - back to school
and finally
The Pixie Cottage - sketch and/or back to school
Thanks for looking.
Sharon xx

Basically Black and White

Me again, you don't see me for a week then you get two posts in a day, it's just like waiting for a bus to arrive.
Anyhow, this is the second card for my monochrome class, and I have reverted back to my favourite combination of black and white. The stamp is by Penny Black, and is stamped onto pearl card. I have layered it four times to add some dimension to the card. The backing is the same pearl card which has been embossed using my faithful Cuttlebug, and the card has been completed with ribbon and gems for added sparkle.
Just for a change I didn't use a challenge sketch for this card, but I would like to enter it in;
Lexi's Creations - embossing
Crafts & Me - petals and pearls
Totally Paper Crafts - keep it plain and simple
and
Simon Says Stamp - paper piecing
I hope you like this card, and I'm keeping number 3 a surprise ready for the class - I don't want the lovely ladies to be too prepared.
See you soon,
Sharon x

Monochrome Madness

Hello everyone.

Thank you for all the concerned emails, it is lovely to know so many of you think of me, and read my blog. I think basically, I may have over done it a bit while we were away, and had a bit of a backward slide, but hey, I'm back blogging now, and on the up again.

This is the first card for my next monochrome class at In 2 Crafting, Wickford next week. I have used one of the new Papermania stamps, with Momento London fog ink, and just highlighted it with denim blue Promarker. The image has been layered to add depth to the card. The backing paper is from the Papermania capsule collection. The ribbon and buttons are from my stash.
I have had a challenge free week, so it is now time to ease myself back in.
I'd like to enter this card into;
ABC - B is for blue
Stampin' for the Weekend - anything goes
and
The Shabby Tea Rooms - old meets new
I hope you like, and I'll be back later with more cards for the class.
Hugs Sharon x

It seems a along time since my last post, as I've been away for a long weekend with my lovely boys and hubby. We've been to Whipsnade zoo, Woodside Farm, seen watermills and done all sorts of fun things. Just need to order the photos, then I can start scrapbooking :o)
Anyhow, this is my sample card for my class tomorrow night. The stamp is a used one that I won on Ebay, and has no makers name on it. The DP is from Craft Creations. The image has been coloured with Promarkers and highlights added with glamour dust.

Ivor The Engine

Evening All.
I was supposed to be packing to go away for the weekend, but I got side tracked and made a card instead.
I have had this Ivor the Engine decoupage cut out for a while, and thought it was about time I put it together. The train border at the top of the card was cut using a Martha Stewart punch (another one of my fav crafting goodies), then I couldn't resist adding some gold glamour dust to the volcano for added sparkle.
I'd like to enter it in;
Paper Play - Bon Voyage
Fairy Fun Friday - inspirational photo
Critter Sketch -Boys card - but include some glitter
Cards for Men - decoupage
and finally
Creative Craft - transport
Thanks for looking - better go and pack now.
See you soon xx

Happy Anniversary

Afternoon all.
Just a quickie post to show the card I made last night for my Sister and Brother-in-Laws wedding anniversary tomorrow.
Happy 15th Anniversary
Jacky & Alex

The teddy bear stamp and heart are both from a clear set by Kanban, that may have arrived yesterday morning - and it was so cute I couldn't resist getting them straight out and playing - more examples to follow shortly.

I have paper pieced the bear to give the two tone effect.

I'm entering it in just three challenges;
Crafty Catz - animals
and
Allsorts - paper piercing / paper piecing
I hope you like, and have a good rest of the day,
Hugs Sharon xx

No Cards Today

Evening all.
Just a quickie post to say hello.
There is no card today, because I have spent all morning trying to finish a curtain job that seems to have been going on for weeks.
Then this afternoon my mojo has run away, so I have just sat staring at stamped images and paper with no inspiration at all - I'm sure it had nothing to do with the little cherubs bickering, as they couldn't go out because of the rain and thunder storms.
Oh well, hopefully it will be back tomorrow.
Have a good evening :o)

Present Time

Afternoon all.
Well I'm glad I decided to postpone boot saling this week, as it has been raining on and off all morning. But the REALLY GOOD news is that I won the July Prize Draw at Pink Gem so I now have to shop to use my discount voucher - how awful is that, NOT !!!!!!
I have reverted back to my LOTV stamps for today's card, and Dovecraft backing papers. I still think it needs something else, but not quite sure what, so I thought I'd post it and await peoples suggestions.
I'm entering it in;
Cupcake Craft - pastel Christmas
I Love Promarkers - Christmas in July
Tuesday Taggers - Christmas in July
ABC Christmas - P is for presents
Stamp Something - Christmas in July
Our Creative Corner - Christmas in July
and

Suggestions welcomed, hugs Sharon x
