Tilda with Bubbles

Evening all.
Well, I've been to little mans sports day, and I'd like to say he is a demon at the potato and spoon race, so I'd like to start a campaign for it to become an Olympic sport, as we might possibly win a medal.
My friend lent me this stamp, and said what can I do with this - and here's what I came up with. I hope she likes it when she comes round tomorrow. Tilda's wings are edged in glamour dust, and the bubbles are highlighted with glossy accents to make them shine.
I am entering it in;
Crafty Cardmakers - inky fingers
Incy Wincy Designs - things with wings
Our Creative Corner - blues and greens
and
The Creative Cottage - summer surprise (my children spend ages blowing bubbles in the summer)
Have a good evening :o)

Cheers !!!

Morning.
Happy halfway through the week to all. Hope you're all having a good one - as I think mine is going to turn into one of those again. My little Matthew has managed to loose both the fillings he had in hospital two weeks ago, so I am trying to get him re seen. Also, the fish in the pond are not fairing too well in the heat, and we have lost several of them, so we are now trying to get a water testing kit, to see what we can do to help.
Anyhow, I made this card last night using one of my Earnies stamps, for a friend tomorrow, so it needs to go in the post.
I'd like to enter it in 3 challenges;
Paper Play - it's sunny here - sun / sunglasses
Die Cut Dreams - life's a beach
and
Penny's Paper Crafty - something with a dog
:o)

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary

Me Again.
I went upstairs, trying to be good for a change, to do some of my business accounts that need submitting soon, but unfortunately got distracted by the digi stamp file instead.
This image was amongst them, and it struck me that it would be ideal for the Crafts 4 Eternity challenge this week - sketch + nursery rhyme + charm.
I thought it reminded me of ;
Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.
So, as you can guess the accounts have gone out the window, and I went back to challenge blogging - Oh well, there's always tomorrow.
I'm entering this card in;
Crafts 4 Eternity - recipe - sketch, nursery rhyme and charm
Bee Crafty - pink and girly
One Stop Crafts - pink and brown
Digital Tuesday - summer time
and
Party Time Tuesday - anything goes
Hope you like :o)

Popcorn

Morning All.
Can you believe this weather, it has been scorching and now all of a sudden - just because little Matthew is having his mini Olympics day - it's raining. How typical is that lol !!!
Anyhow, I thought I'd make a right and cheery card this morning, and as a change from stamping I have used images from the Crafters Companion, Floral Popcorn Bear CD.
Just a few challenges with this one;
Just Cute Bears - open theme (with bear)
The CD Sunday Challenge - in full bloom
and
A Spoonful of Sugar - animal crackers
Hope yo like :o)

Sweet Tilda

Morning All.
I have amazed myself this morning - the card I've made isn't square. I think that's the first one for ages, as I seem to stuck in a bit of a shape rut at the mo.
I coloured this image of sweet Tilda yesterday afternoon, after I gave up watching the football. I disappeared to the sanctity of my work room and the company of my promarkers - far better than grumpy men watching football.
I made this card with a few challenges in mind, but when I had a flick through it fits loads.
So brace yourselves, and here goes;
Fab 'n' Funky - sew 'n' sew
Secret Crafter - strawberries & cream
Paper Sundaes - birthday card
Crafty Sentiments - birthday theme
Rosie D's - summer birthdays
Sundays With Crissy - monochromatic (mostly)
Stamp with Fun - birthday
The Shabby Tea Rooms - popsicles & pinwheels
Ooh La La Creations - simply summer

Allsorts - embossing
and finally
The Crafty Pad - embossing
Big hugs Sharon :o)

Gorjuss Gold

Hello again - I promise this is my last post today.
What a beautiful day, if a little hot. I've got all the doors and windows open and all I keep getting is the wafts of the pre football barbeque's going on. It's making me quite hungry.
Anyhow, this card was made last night, but I had to wait until today to photo it as the backing is gold mirror board, and with the flash last night it was just one big blurry mess.
It was an unusual colour combination for me, but I think it's good to try something different at times - you might even surprise yourself occasionally. The turquoise flowers have been in my stash for an age, so it was good to use them at last, and the ribbon came off a birthday present.
I'd like to enter it in;
Creative Inspirations - turquoise, gold and cream
Cute Card Thursday - reuse, renew, recycle
ABC - X is for xtra dimension
and
Magical Crafts - flower power
Have a great rest of the weekend, Me :o)

Lovely Lilac

Afternoon all.
Firstly big congratulations to my friend Lynne for making the design team at Die Cut Dreams Christmas Club - well done hun !!!!!! Check out her blog, to see lots of her fab creations.
Today's card uses another digi stamp from my stash, and again I'm really sorry but I'm not sure where it came from. I must try and be organised and label them when I get them. I have had a bit of a field day with the glittering, but hey fairies always benefit from a bit of glitter and sparkle.
The challenges I am entering are;
Crafty Catz - lets go digital
Fussy and Fancy Friday - monochromatic with wings
Craftalious - monotone
Passion For Promarkers -favourite things (definitely promarkers and fairies in my case)

Football Crazy

Evening All
Hurray, I actually made it to work today and taught a class. It was such a lovely change and so nice to see people and have a conversation again, although I must admit I was a bit tired when I got home. I sat down to watch the tennis, and one minute I was watching one match, and the next it was halfway through another - I'm sure I didn't fall asleep -honest.
Anyhow, I started this card last night, and have just finished fiddling with it. It uses a LOTV stamp, coloured with promarkers, and the 'grass' is made using a Martha Stewart punch.
I'd like to enter it in;
Cards for Men - sketch
Charisma Cardz - for the boys
The Corrosive Challenge - black, white and one other (in my case green)
and
Polka Doodles - boys birthday
I hope you like it :o)

Mini Fairy Easel

Afternoon all.
What a lovely day, I have been taken out for lunch with some lovely friends, which made a really nice change.
I started this card earlier in the week, but it has taken a while to come together but it got there in the end - hopefully.
The papers are once again from a Forever Friends pad, the flowers are Prima, and the pearls are from my stash. The stamp is the mini Tilda, which I mus admit was far smaller than I thought it would be, but that just added to the challenge.
I'd like to enter it in;
Crafty Catz - shaped cards
Ooh La La - flourishes and pearls
The Pink Elephant - pink and black (or in my case mainly pink)
Creative Card Crew - an easel card
The Creative Cottage - pearls and swirls

Dustins Dragon

Morning All.
I was flicking through my digi stamps last night, trying to ignore the football and ironing, when I came across this one by Dustin Pike. I couldn't resist printing it, and entering it into a few challenges. The paper is from an old Christmas Dovecraft pack, and the ric rack was cut using a quickutz cookie cutter. I hope he cheers every ones day, as Dustin's images always make me smile.
I'm entering ;
Winter Wonderland - a festive tree (there are some on the backing paper, so hope this counts)
Bah! Humbug! - a child's Christmas
Digital Tuesday challenge - Christmas in June
and
My Time To Craft - Yuletide in June

Lazy Days

Afternoon All.
I've finally managed to get my entry for the BIG competition over at The Crafty Pad finished!! There are some mega prizes up for grabs.
I've used an adorable digi stamp from the Crafty Pad, called Snoozin' Albert, coloured with promarkers. The fish paper is a scrap from my stash, and the green card has been embossed with my cuttlebug.
I'm entering it in ;
and
Hope you like it :o)

Pirate Treasure

Afternoon all.
A quick bit of exciting news, my sis phoned to tell me I'd won The Creative Craft challenge with my football teddy slider card - how exciting. It has certainly cheered me up :o)
This little pirate has been laying on my desk for ages, waiting to be made into a card. The stamp is from Pink Gem and is available as both a digi stamp and a polymer stamp. The backing papers are by Rusty Pickle, and the stickers are some I've had in my stash you ages.
I'm entering it in;
and
Pile It On - stickers
Have a good evening :o)

Baby Bug

Afternoon all.
I have been playing with some digi stamps this morning, but have had a few disasters, as my promarkers bleed on the card that goes through the printer - any suggestions would be welcomed. The only images that I can get to look half decent are the ones with the heavier lines. I think this image was a freebie from Bugaboo stamps - but don't hold me to that.
I'd like to enter it in;
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - blossoms and butterflies
and
Stamptacular Sunday - cute as a bug
Hope you like :o)

Musical Magic

Me again !!!
This card was made using a lovely Penny Black stamp, that may have arrived last week -but if anyone sees hubby I've had it ages. I've had the musically background paper in my stash forever, and buying this stamp seemed a good way of using it - well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
This card is designed with a challenge or so in mind, as I am sure blogland is about the only thing keeping me sane at the moment, and encouraging me to use my brain.
The challenges are;
Passion for Promarkers - sketch and male theme
and
The Shabby Tea Room - photo inspiration

Thank You

Morning All.
I'm having one of those 'I couldn't sleep' days, so I thought I'd do a thank you card for all the lovely ladies at Burnham Stitch and Craft club, who sent me some plants to cheer me up, as I haven't been able to make it to the club recently.
The teddy stamp is from Earnies, and as usual is coloured with promarkers. The backing paper is from another Forever Friends pad - it's amazing what you find in your stash when you can't drive out to get anything new.
This card is being entered in just 3 challenges;
Creative Card Crew - thank you
and
Teddy Stampers - summer bears
Thanks for looking :o)

Fairy Princess

Afternoon Bloggers.
I hope you are sitting down, because for the first time in a very long time, I've made 2 cards in one day.
This second card is very girlie, ready for a party Matthew is going to on Thursday. The stamp is from Pink Gem, which has of course been coloured with promarkers. The papers are from a Forever Friends pad, and the newest purchase is the ribbon, from my local market, along with the little flowers - sorry they were both unbranded. The embossing folder is by Crafts Too. Her wings have been glittered with glamour dust, and I've added some extra bling to her crown and sparkles.
I'm on another challenge roll with this one;

Beaded Bloom

Afternoon all.
Well it's been a snoozy no go day here. I've spent most of it snuggled on the sofa watching DVDs with little man - it's a tough life, but someone had to do it.
I made the beaded flower on this card a while ago, and have just mounted it up today. It is a simple design, but hopefully you'll agree that it's quite elegant.

Fathers Day

Evening All.
It's been another day in the world of me.
I have sent most of the day at Colchester General Hospital with baby boy (he's actually 7), having assorted dental work done under general anaesthetic. He was really good, if a little stroppy coming round, but hey I know how he felt. All was fine, we escaped the hospital, then stopped at ASDA to by the lego set he'd been promised if he was good. Half way home, a small voice announced I feel icky, and before we could stop, the inevitable explosion occurred. Anyhow, after that he declared he felt much better - at least it meant hubby cleaned the car for me when we got home, while I bathed and sorted child. He's been back to his normal chirpy self ever since, winding his brother up that he's not allowed to go to school tomorrow, so hopefully he's over the worst.
Anyhow, I thought I'd better finish Dads fathers day card. I couldn't resist using this adorable LOTV stamp, as he's spent the last I don't know how many years building a new shed, and it's become a bit of a standing joke in the family.
On the challenge front, I even impressed myself, but hey lets just go for it;
Papercutz - fathers day
Totally Gorjuss - for the boys
My Sheri Crafts - fathers day
Just Cute Bears - here comes summer

Hello again.
I just had to do a quick post of Matthew's (age 7) fish bowl painting and collage that he brought home from school today. Rosie D's challenge leaped to mind when I saw it - something blue, with fish or fishing, so couldn't resist posting it on his behalf.
I hope it makes you smile !!!!!

This card has been designed ready for my next class (hopefully) at In 2 Crafting at Wickford - Bears.
The die cut is Go Create, Boo bear die, which I have had for a while and never used. It has been cut in cream and beige, so I have a second bear in the reverse colours made up ready for some other project. The sentiment stamp, which I think is really sweet is by Penny Black.

and

Forever Friends Slider

Afternoon all.
Today's card is another penny slider, using Forever Friends die cut decoupage. I was thinking I may do something similar to this on my bear class at In 2 Crafting - if I make it. I am still having issues, and can't walk very far without becoming breathless, and I haven't even attempted driving yet, as with numb hands steering may be a problem. Oh well, at least I didn't have to cut this decoupage out.
I am entering this in a few challenges, as this is about the only thing keeping me from going mad at the mo. So here goes:-
Forever Friends - kinetic card
Crafts and Me - friends and family

Acetate Card

Hi all.
Back to Christmas today, using DoodleBug Papers and embellishments.
This card was made using an A4 sheet of acetate, folded into 3 equal pieces. A piece was removed from a third up the front edge to the top of the second fold.
The removed piece was then inverted to make a second front panel to allow the front of the card to become a shaker box.
A snowman sticker was mounted on a card off cut, with a thin strip of acetate sandwiched in the middle, to allow it to bounce up and down on the back of the card.
I'd like to enter it in the following challenges;
Bah! Humbug! - acetate
and
Susie Vikki's Christmas Club - snowflakes (in my case sequin snowflakes in the shaker)
I hope you like it :o)

This card was made using a stamped image that I coloured at my lovely friend Lynne's colouring techniques class. It has been sitting on my desk for quite sometime, waiting to be made into a card. The papers are from a Daisy and Dandelion pack, and just seemed to match the colours used so well.

Giraffe Baby

What an exciting day.
I have spent 4 hours at hospital being x-rayed, examined, poked and prodded, to be told that they are still not sure what is wrong or why my legs are so swollen, so they are just going to keep watching it for the next 6 weeks to see what happens next. Not quite the result I was hoping for :o(
Anyhow, enough grumping, at least the sun has come out to play again today, which always cheers the world up.
I made this card last night. I have embossed the stencil using my cuttlebug, then pricked and stitched the outline. His spots have been coloured using Sakura stardust pens. I have tried to keep the card simple and unfussy as it is for a little boy.
I am entering it in;
