Takin' A Dip

I have not blogged in a very very long time. I suppose I have had the ultimate "blogger's block." Well, I am trying to do better. Now that we are nearly 1,000 miles away from most family, I feel I need to be better at updating things about my family.

Today we went to a little town called Artesia. It is 40 minutes (depending on how fast your drive) from Roswell (our current city). Jason had a work meeting there this morning. Being spring break, the girls and I went with him. In Artesia, there are a lot of little monuments and sight seeing things to visit. The girls and I were spending some time in a little side alley on Main St. They have fun little fountains with little rivers and neat art work telling the history of this area.

Tressa and Hailee were having a good time jumping over the little rivers and splashing their hands in the water fountains. I warned them repeatedly that they needed to be careful so they would not fall into the water. But said, "OKAY!!!!" and kept on playing. I turned my back on Tressa to see what Hailee was up to, and I heard a sound like someone was taking a huge breath in (imagine jumping into a really cold lake or something... you tend to inhale really fast and hard-that is what I heard). I turned around to see Tressa climbing out of the water fountain. She had fallen in to the 1 1/2 foot deep water and managed to get completely drenched, head to toe. I couldn't help but laugh. It was a comical sight. She was not as thrilled with it, but it made for a very interesting morning!

All is well here in New Mexico! Hope it is the same where you are!

Playing in the Snow

We woke up today to a blanket of white snow all over the ground. It wasn't much more than an inch, but it was enough to go and play in it. As ill equipped for the snow this year as we are, we managed to bundle up nice and warm and head across the street to let the dogs pull Tressa and Hailee in the snow. They LOVE IT! It is fun. Bear is kind of a loose cannon. He likes to grab the lead with his mouth and doesn't do much work. However once he gets going, he can pull that sled like a champ (with Titus's) help naturally!

This isn't the best video, since I had to run along with the dogs in order to keep them on task. So video may be choppy... unless this is the video that I took after a good run. It was the best I could do.

Halloween

Here are some pictures from Halloween. These aren't all of them, but they are the man ones I believe! I hope you all had a fun Halloween too!
Tressa and Hailee agreed to "recycle" some of their old dress up dresses, so I did not have to buy any new ones for their outfits!
Tressa was not Bell again this year. She was a "Ball Room Princess." She saw a costume titled that in the store, and wanted to be just that. So she had a crown and everything. She looked beautiful!
Hailee was not Sleeping Beauty. She was actually one of the Barbie Three Musketeers. It is a Barbie video that she watched with her cousin. So she has a sword and a hat, that she didn't wear much. She looked beautiful too!
They had a lot of fun trick/trunk-or-treating.
