CNY Eve (Wednesday)
Aunt Mel:"Eh, Roslyn not coming ah?"
Ah Ma(Translated to English):"Wheres your girlfriend? Is she coming?"
Aunt Karen:"Eh, how come your girlfriend never come?"
CNY 1st day (Thursday)
Mom:"Roslyn coming along?"
Aunt Mel:"Is Roslyn coming later?"
Uncle Greg:"Your girlfriend not coming ah?"
Nicole:"Is Roslyn coming?"
Ah Ma(Translated to English):"Wheres your girlfriend? How come shes not coming?"
CNY 2nd day (Friday)
Mom:"Is Roslyn coming later?"
Whitney:"Is Roslyn coming?"
James:"Eh, wheres your girlfriend? How come shes not coming?"
Nicole:"Is Roslyn coming?"
Dad:"Roslyn not coming?"
Aunt Mel:"How come Roslyn not coming?"
Uncle James:"Eh, your girlfriend?"
Ah Ma(Translated to English):"How come your girlfriend isn't coming?"
Ah Gong:"Wheres your girlfriend?"
Uncle Greg:"Eh, your girlfriend not coming ah?"
CNY 3rd day (Saturday)
Mom:"Eh, how come Roslyn not coming?"
Nicole:"Is Roslyn coming?"
Whitney:"Is Roslyn going?"
Aunt Karen:"Nigel! Your girlfriend leh?"
James:"Wheres your girlfriend?"
Aunt Mel:"Wheres Roslyn?"
Ah Ma(Translated to English):"How come your girlfriend didn't come?"
Uncle KK:"How come you didn't go out with your girlfriend?"
CNY 4th day (Sunday)
Mom:"Roslyn can't come ah?"
Whitney:"Is Roslyn going?"
James:"Your girlfriend not free to come?"
Aunt Mel:"Roslyn not coming again ah?"
Ah Ma(Translated to English):"Wheres your girlfriend? How come you didn't go out with your girlfriend today?"
Uncle KK:"Eh, how come you didn't bring your girlfriend along?"
This is how many times my family and relatives asked about Roslyn. 32 times! Could be more, cos these were the ones I remembered and even 'recorded' it down. Each time, I had to just tell them that she had something on or she wasn't free. Maybe it was my fault on the 2nd day of CNY but then again... Yes! It SUCKS to be me!
