I'm so excited to be the guest designer for Heart 2 Heart Challenges this month! I would have loved to create five layouts based on their awesome challenges, but time ran away with me so at least one of the challenges will feature a card. For the Rhapsody in Blue challenge, H2H asked for a primarily blue project, with bonus points for including a musical motif. What better than Skylark paper, a songbird, and this beautiful quote to encompass both parts of the challenge? Combine it with a lovely card sketch from Retro Sketches, and this card flew together (no pun intended). I'm looking forward to sharing more artwork inspired by H2H's challenges this month, so check back each Monday to see what's up next, and please play along!

Ivy Lane Cards Part 2
Finished up my cards for my Ivy Lane workshop, so I thought I'd share! For the butterfly on the first card, I stamped a butterfly on the cardstock square, then stamped it again on a cardstock scrap, cut it out, and sponged the edges with Desert Sand ink. I adhered it by the body but left the wings free, and then added some Stickles to the body. One cool thing I accomplished by doing it this way: I didn't have to cut out the antenna, since they were already on the cardstock square, so it saved me a lot of time and energy!

Pattern: Sketch 192 from Sunday Sketch and Stamp
For this one, I got the placement of the flowers correct by stamping and cutting out the flower pots, laying them on the tag, and marking a light pencil line across the top of each. I then removed the pots and had a guideline for where to place the flowers!

Buzz & Bumble Thanks Card
The final card for my Buzz & Bumble card workshop was a bit challenging. I had to shift things around quite a few times before I was satisfied by the look. Hopefully my shuffling worked and my customers will like it, too!

Dakota Card Workshop
I haven't posted anything for a while because I've been so busy creating cards for my card workshops. I just finished a workshop last night, and here are the cards we created, 2 each of 6 designs. I wasn't enamored of the Dakota papers when my ladies picked them, but I really enjoyed the challenge of taking papers that weren't "my style" and making cards that were my style. Hope you like them!

Wedding Card
It's my birthday today, and how are we celebrating? By going to a wedding! Not what I originally had in mind for the day, but I guess I will never forget their anniversary. There are a couple of blogs that had challenges to make wedding cards or layouts (Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge & Creative Belli Challenge #144), so here's my card for the happy couple. All my supplies used on this card are at least six months old, and some, like the Mocha Opaques, I had forgotten I had, so here's to rooting around in your stash and finding oldies but goodies! One last challenge I'm entering this card in is the Stampin' Royalty Color Challenge. They used SU colors, which I don't have, but I did my best to find the CTMH equivalents.
Here's a close-up of the butterfly. I added a little bit of Diamond Stickles to the edges in honor of this magical occasion, and I left the wings free to give the card more dimension.
