A day of (mis)fortune

Finally finished my Spanish assignment! After much deliberation on the most time economical route around campus, I settle on printing my assignment in the Law Library (my fave library to look like one of those future lawyers, walking around with thick, brown, leather journals). With my fresh off the printer assignment, I quickly make my way to Menzies. Along the way, I make a quick check on everything I needed on the cover sheet, being paranoid is better than being sorry. At the back of my mind, the esctasy of dropping this assignment into the Stewart's pigeon hole is burning. My imagination starts to run wild. The opening of the pigeon hole turning into a welcoming smile, waiting excitedly for my submission. I quickly make my way to the 4th floor of Menzies. As I turn into the School of Languages, Cultures and Linguistics wing, what greeted me first was the recycle bin, shaped into the exact same way as the pigeon hole (I swear this is a conspiracy!). My right hand, hold my assignment, instinctively reached out for the recycle bin.


Just moments before my fingers decided to let go of the few sheets of papers that it has been holding on dearly, Stewart appeared. It was then I woke up from what a potential academic nightmare. I handed him my assignment with a 'thank you' that carries an infinite amount of gratitude (should have said gracias instead).


I walked home, feeling relieved and smiling all the way.


 I rewarded myself with this: Fish ice-cream! (Ice-cream shaped like a fish. Too much decoy today.)

Nineteen. Being nineteen marks another phase of my life where my past flashes past across without me realising.

Twenty-one. You don't have the time to look back all you got to do is to capture every moment and make those extra special.

Twenty-five. You don't want to slow down.

Thirty. You are tired. Monetary accomplishment, yes. Emotionally stressed out, yes.

Thirty-eight. Two more years and you are done.

Fourty. You think this might be the beginning of another phase of your life.

Fourty-five. You never felt better.

Fifty. What do I have to worry. Apart from the drooping figure. But who's watching?

Fifty-five. Time to make some arrangement. Not that I have that much of assets.

Sixty. The time will reach anytime from now.

Seventy. Emmm... I am still around. Too much exercise?

Eighty. Life flashes past you. This time, clip by clip with clear cuts, of course with some flavors of failing memories.

Ninety. I wish I was nineteen.

Holidays seem to take away all my zest of blogging and hence the very delayed updates on myself. Well, not like anyone bother... (managed to sound abit despo for attention huh?) Firstly, I am doing very well currently. If you have kept a lookout on my facebook, I am sure my JB trip has definitely caught your attention. And if you haven't, it's never too late. =)

2010

It's has been long indeed since my last post. I had wanted to blog a bit on my birthday and Christmas a couple of days ago but friends caught up with me and I hadn't the time to do it.

Many things have happened since my last post. Well, there is the Winter Soltice where we get to eat tang yuan (not sure about the origins) and then my 19th birthday and of course Christmas.=)

This post was supposed to sum up 2010 for me, (more of the undone resolutionS) but I would like to blog abit on my 19th birthday first. (after all, it's my LAST TEENage birthday)

Finally, it's my turn to turn nineTEEN. I may sound relieved and even excited to you, but believe me, I am not. If you have noticed, I stressed on the TEEN at the end of my nineTEEN (here I go again). It's my last year to have a -TEEN at the back of my age after all. Afraid of growing up? You guessed it right. Like any other kid, I have always wished to grow faster. And that was all 10 years ago... Now, it seems that drama aren't that drama after all.



Today, I visited my accounts teacher, Mrs Yee. I haven't seen her after SPM and that is about two years now. She hasn't aged much. We talked for hours like an old mentor giving advice. She even brought us out for lunch even though her stomach isn't feeling well. It was very nice of her ain't it?


Well, this marks the end of 2010 for me.

I have been pretty lazy to blog these days despite having lesser concerns compared to most of my peers at the moment. And yep, it is approaching the forth week of my vacation already. It has indeed been enjoyable thus far and today is definitely another item to be added to my memorable vacation list.

It is a long, but at the same time, exciting today so just bear with me a little for I must elaborate on many minute details of the day. =)

Well, I shall begin in the morning. I woke up, feeling the morning urge to meet Carey already! (no thanks to the excitement built up on facebook the night before) It is a pity Erika can't join us but I am sure that we will have fun nevertheless. Okay, I shall skip all the "on-the-road" details for it is kinda embarrasing knowing that I have been in JB for almost two decades now. Anyway, I arrived safely at Carey's house and off we head to our alma mater of eleven years. Despite leaving high-school for almost three years now, there is still a sense of belonging whenever we step into the grounds of Convent. Be it as a student or as an alumni returning to gather some fond memories, this place never fails to brings a sense of warmth and welcoming feeling of home.

The main purpose of returning this time around was to get Carey's stuffs certify. We couldn't do any roaming and stalking teachers this time (as this is what we would usually do) because the most important exam is going on (read: SPM) and boy, how we could feel the tension in the air! On the other hand, walking past the school hall, it feels like it was only yesterday I was sitting in there. Well, if you could imagine the scenario now as we walked past the school hall, our cafeteria is something of an eye-catcher. (ok, maybe not so much without the food now) The gravitational pull to the place is something both Carey and I could not resist after years away. So yea, we sat down and enjoyed the RM1.00 nasi lemak. Happy that the mak cik still remembers us.

After a hefty lunch, we are off to La-la Land. In case you are wondering if this is a new hang-out in JB, I can assure you is not. If you do not get the joke, it simply refers to City Square--> where all the Lalas flock together. =)
First thing first, check the movie timing. As we had all day and no worries about parents checking us out, we decided that we should have a movie marathon. And the time was perfect for two movies slot ---> Rapunzel & The Social Network. Revies on the movies in the next post. In the little time we had in between the two movies, we did actually went into the share watching area outside the cinema and sat there like the two idiots. (pardon me)

You could probably guess it's about dinner time now. This is also the time that made me so hyped-up all day. We have been planning for this very important dinner session for quite some time now. You will probably go LOL after what I am going to say but nobody could quite understand the addiction we have over this shop called Woon Kiang aka the KTK shop (kuey teow kia). We went there and after consuming the maximum amount our tummy could handle at that moment, we could only smile like little kids eating lollipops for the first time. It is really that good.

Blogging rate has been nothing but low these days... It's holidays, my friends!!

Well, let's talk abit about today. Firstly, I went to fetch Serene from her house and then head over to book the badminton court for our epic Laugh-minton. (more on that later) After fetching Wit Lyn and Qiang, we headed for lunch in Grill Bar, Taman Pelangi. =) Awesome place.. =DD

Finally, Erika is free from her baby-sitting and can join us for badminton. So yea, we fetched her and... IT'S LAUGH-MINTON time!!

Played for TWO whole hours!
OMG! But we were practically laughing for most part of it.. XD
witlyn was good, erika was pro, serene has some taekwando stuff going on, qiang was... haiz... lindan-ish

and i was scarecrow-ing at most part...
XD
nevertheless, I got to experience my life-long dream, even if it was just for a few minutes. =)

It was like back in high school where we could laugh like we have no other worries in the world....
and, IT'S REALLY AWESOME FEELING TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE AROUND!

and by the way, I got bangs now. =)

I know I know...

It has been a looong time indeed since I last blog. The past week has been crazy ( and no other words can replace it)... yes, CRAZY.

Slumber party was no doubt a huge success. Well, there are definitely change of plans throughout the stayover but but but.... WE LOVE SUPRISES! XD

Finally, the wait is over...
In a blink of an eye (cliche), I have finished my FIRST semester of my FIRST YEAR of university... Jealous much, Carey? XD

I am making it a little big aren't I? hahaha... truth to be told, IT'S INDEED A BIG THING FOR ME!

Needless to say, a "celebration" was held...

The journey back was a memorable one. I spent near 3 hours.

Then, went lepaking with Gwee at night (ok lah, consider morning) at Look Out Point... DAMN AWESOME!!

But before we ended up there, we went to SO MANY restaurants which according to him is VERY YUMMY but.... NONE of it were opened!! NONE NONE!! A bit suey...

Nevertheless, it's a blessing in disguise because Look Out Point is seriously darn darn awesome!

2010 near end review

I am in the midst of my final exams of my first semester. This also marks the end of a year is coming... and I WAS SPARKED BY SOME... I am not sure if I should be happy or sad about this...Okay, I think I need a thorough review of myself.


Then the Eva Siao. She is definitely a siao girl. never see her face-with-no-laughter, even when the time ppl tembak her in facebook, this is the best thing of her. she can laugh when she is on facebook, on twitter, reading, talking, driving, having her exams, and at most when eating. she smiles to the food. yes, she does. cute she.

Eva Seow- This fellow, I have also known her for a very long time, 13 years, I must say. I was not very close to her in primary school but we got closer in form 4 and 5. She is really a very noisy, mischievious and naughty girl. I say that because she loves to tease me and pull pranks on me. Me only not onto anybody else you know. What can I say, she has got a figure of a super model, and a face like and angel( No, just joking, it is actually the opposite). She was the source of my laughter and also my rage, when she starts talking about bird and machoman. She is going to kill me if she sees this.
