Institute Works!!!

We were just looking through some pictures from last year and came across our annual "Institute Friends" party photo... If this doesn't convince people that the Institute works as a match-maker, I don't know what will! Most of us met each other at the Institute at Weber State way back in the late 90s! After we all got married, we decided to get together each year for a little catch-up party. The first party we had, Bennett was one month old and one of two kids. Now, here we are 10 years later... Originally, our group of friends consisted of 16 couples, now only about 8-10 families make it to our gathering, but from the original group, we now boast over 50 KIDS!!! Talk about multiply and replenish! You'd think we were from the Rabbit Institute! The fun thing is, when we were back at the Institute, most of us were part of the Performing Chorale and Dance teams and then served together on Institute Council for various years. We obviously formed lasting friendships...some turned eternal! Anyway, to all you Institooties out there, we still love you and look forward to our parties each year! Here's to the INSTITUTIONALIZED!!!

Cupcakes and Shooter Guns

Happy Birthday to Henry! (Actually, it was a month ago...but that's how behind I am!) He turned 3 and when I asked him what he wanted for his Birthday Dinner, he said he wanted "Cupcakes and Shooter Guns!"
Okay then, here's how I delivered...
Meatloaf Cupcakes and Shooter Gun rolls!
Yep, score one for the Mom-ster.
He did get real cupcakes and a real shooter-gun too...it was a very cupcakey/shooter gun day!
And of course, the Birthday Pancakes complete with candle...normally this is served breakfast-in-bed style, but I couldn't bring myself to leave a plate of pancackes and syrup in a 3 year old's bed. He had a great day!
