Better than Steak Knives!

I have to admit, the older my kids get, the less harried I am on Pumpkin Carving night. When they are little, we get all excited and think, "Oh what fun, my little one year old is going to carve his first pumpkin!!!" Then they start screaming because you make them stick their hand in goo and you won't let them touch the knives and they have no idea what is going on and THEY WON'T EVEN REMEMBER IT!!! So, like I said, now that they are older, it's a lot easier, because they acutally want to carve the pumpkins, and they can actually do it (or mostly do it) themselves, and they like to put their hands in the goo and throw it at each other and pretend like they are boogers and all sorts of other gross boy stuff!!! We actually had a lot of fun tonight! Ethan, Bennett, Clara and Henry...they smile as big as the pumpkins!!!
I'd also like to give a big shout out to whoever invented the totally awesome Pumpin Masters mini saws. Heck of a lot easier than those dull steak knives we used when I was a kid!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Where's the Waldos?

PUNKIN PATCH

I took the kids to Pack's Pumpkin Patch in Farmington and they had a great time running through the hay maze and the huge pumpkin fields. Bennett, as always, was a great big brother and took
Henry through the maze a few times.

Ethan popped up and scared me, so I made him pose for a picture!

In Honor of the Snow...

As my kids woke up this morning and ran outside to play in the 6 inches of snow we had piled on our lawn...I tried to stay warm in my bed by rewinding six months to the most fabulous vacation I have ever been on so far... it was something like this: warm turquoise water, white sand beaches, balmy ocean breezes...AHHH...Caribbean Cruise, WHERE ARE YOU??? We and some of our friends spent a blissful seven days in the Caribbean, so in honor of the wicked white snow sitting on my deck, I post these pictures, that I may warm my toes in the hot sand...
It just doesn't get any better than this...I'm hoping to find a pile of cash in my mailbox soon so I can go on another one of these babies!!!
