EAT MOR CHIKIN

Just an FYI for all you cow impersonators... If you show up dressed like a cow at any Chick-Fil-A restaurant TODAY, you can get a free combo meal!!! But you have to be completely dressed like a cow...any partials only get a free sandwich!!! Now, go and eat more Chikin!!!

Home for the 4th

We went home to Idaho Falls for the 4th- always a fun and exhausting celebration. We hit the parade early, had lunch in the park, pizza on the greenbelt and enjoyed a super display of fireworks, complete with falling ash and cinders. Dad stakes out our place 2 days in advance so we can sit right across the river from where the fireworks are set off, and we feel cheated if we don't come home with holes burned into clothing, blankets or strollers from the falling embers... it's all part of the fun!!! Patriotic Henry from his head to his toes, courtesy of mom!!!

Hats, sunscreen and spray bottles help keep these guys cool during the parade. Apparently, this year throwing candy was supposed to be outlawed... yeah right, my kids ended up with hatfulls of tootsie rolls and gum!!!

A quick trip to the new park after lunch. Clara and Henry could swing all day and night if we let them!!!

Pizza on the greenbelt while waiting for the fireworks. It's always fun to see how many people we recognize each year. This year I saw an old friend I cheered with when I was in high school- yipes!!! That was 12ish years ago!!! She actually looked exactly the same!!! Wish I did!

Ready for the fireworks with our super awesome safety goggles, courtesy of Grandpa Butch!!! Now we can enjoy without ash in our eyes!!!

We'll be back next year!!!!

5 strikes and YOU'RE OUT!

Ethan and Bennett played baseball this summer and somehow I got talked into being their coach...I swear, I'm the only mom who says yes!!! I need to learn the neccessity of saying NO. I do admit though, it was a lot of fun and my boys were pretty good!!!
Yes, it is 5 strikes and then you're out... which still wasn't enough for a few of the poor kids. Check out these great action shots!!!Ethan looks like he's running for his life! He made it home SAFE!!!
Is this cool or what??? I think that on this exact hit Bennett landed a sweet triple!!! Nice form, Man!

Thursday Field Trips...

We have a great little group in our neighborhood that does "summer fun stuff"...Thursdays we go on field trips to various places. Today we visited the International Peace Garden in SLC. It was really quite beautiful and the kids as always had lots of fun together!

Clara with her best friend, Sadie
Henry and his best gal, Ava...
Ethan and Bennett conquering the many trees. Fun times!!!

Here's the whole gang, minus some babies... I'm not sure why Bennett has that "I'm too old for this" look on his face!

Just Starting...

After much deliberation and too many people telling me it was about time to start one of these things, I've decided to join the masses and create a blog... and that's about all I'm going to do for right now. Whew. Not too hard so far, however, computers and I have a bad track record, so we'll see what happens when I actually try to post a picture or something. Don't get yer hopes up about anything fabulous...
