Aren't the cute? When they are happy.

Madison Loves to wear anyone's shoes but her own so she wore my running shoes, and picked out her own outfit for the day. I think she wanted to dress like me cause she kept saying she wanted to go to the gym.

Caitlyn loves to help with the dishwasher, I won't tell you that those are dirty dishes, that might just gross you out.
Both my kids will eat tomatoes like apples, they just love them, we go through over 10 a week. She may not have front teeth yet but she will eat the whole thing.
Messy messy day...
And I just liked this picture, she loves to crawl in bed with her sister, this is a good and bad thing, good because they just love each other, Bad because she will do it at night and wake her up..or at nap time. But she is learning to just ignore her now so we are hoping for a good nights sleep sometime in the near future.

I'm glad you like them.

The other day I bought some strawberries, I was super excited about it and apparently so were my kids.

here is Madi stealing the strawberries

Caitlyn wanted in on the action (she ate 4 huge strawberries, her record is 5)

And for good measure Madi decided to take a bite out of all of them put them in a bowl and hand them to me, what a good test taster she is.

my girls

The girls are starting to play together and it is soo cute. Madison is always telling caitlyn to "come on, follow me". She just loves her sister most of the time. Caitlyn loves to stand, but doesn't know how to sit afterward. Her new favorite place is the kitchen, so i really have to be careful as to what is on the floor. Right now they are both fighting cold and what not so we are just hanging in there and hoping they get better soon.

future referee

The Sock Puppet was clearly off side! Makes her Daddy proud!

GONZAGA GAME

We have lived here 3 years and had yet to go to a GU game. So when Evan scored some free tickets we jumped on that. It was in the afternoon and the girls did great! Too bad we jost.

my baby is crawling!

Someday's are better than others, but the last few days have been great! My kids are growing so fast and are learning new things everyday. Madi can now count to 15! who taught her that. She is speaking in full sentences most of the time and can laugh all day. Caitlyn is crawling now and jabbering up a storm.. I took a step back earlier today and just looked at them, they are so stinkin cute. I know sometimes I can get down and irritated with them cause everything goes wrong that day, but they really are GREAT kids and i couldn't ask for better. I just need to put on a different hat and laugh right along with them and enjoy the time that we have together. I am blessed to be able to stay home with them.

(this is from week ago)
The other day we went to the mall park with a friend of our (of course i forgot my camera). Madi and her friend loved playing peekabo and going down the slides holding hands, it was adorable. Caitlyn tried keeping up but just isn't that fast yet, just give her a week.

sometimes.....

Sometimes i get really jealous of my husband...I know it sounds weird but as I see him succeed at his job it makes me jealous to a point. He gets to leave and come home from a paying job. home, i can never truly relax because I always see something that needs to be done. I have to admit I like to work and Iwas a dang good employee too. Let me just say that I love my kids and I know that I need to stay home to raise them and I wouldn't have it any other way. But sometimes I would love to go just get away. I feel extremely guilty when I spend money (even on groceries), so my guilt factor on clothes is skyrocketed (so it does not happen much if at all). I can fully understand how some stay at home moms get depression though. When there is constantly crying, messes or you are getting hit or kicked constantly, the tantrums oh the tantrums. sometimes it's just too much. But with the bad comes good also. The little kisses and hugs just melt my heart. And when they laugh i can't help but laugh right along with them cause it is so darn cute. I love when my kids are happy and that I have been given the opportunity the raise them, they are my pride and joy. But a mommy needs a break too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADISON!!!!

Our baby is 2 years old! How did this happen? She is so fun to be around and just loves to dance and sing. She is most definitely a Daddy's girl and is a wonderful big sister (most of the time).

She does not like to nap, sadly i think those days will end this summer.

She talk talk talks and loves mickey mouse clubhouse!

can count to 12

She can potty in the toilet most of the time!

And she just LOVES animals especially dogs.

for her birthday we went to Jump n' Party, she absolutely loved it! She took Evan everywhere, especially the big slides! She kept throwing herself of things and saying "ouch" and then would laugh about it. Silly silly girl.

YAY MADISON!!!

I have had 2 goals that I wanted accomplished as a parent so far that those were

NO bottle by 1
Potty trained by 2

I can now say I have accomplished both of those with my first child!!!!! WAY TO GO MADISON!!!

grateful!

I rarely have a moment to myself, I have a almost 2 year old that talks my ear off and a 7 month old that also needs constant attention and has yet to sleep through the night...sigh.....my house is a mess and I can't seem to get ahead. That is when I am at the end of my rope. But someone once told me that when you are at the end of your rope tie a knot at the bottom and hold on.
Today my husband could see that I was a little testy, so instead of saying that he said "you should go do something today", I thought he said "we" so I am thinking okay we have 2 sick girls where are we going to go! But again he said "do you want to go to the gym or shopping by yourself today". I was floored, I do not remember the last time i went to town without the girls. So i went grocery shopping. I know I know it sounds lame but it was actually relaxing and when i came home the girls were napping!!! Just what I needed.

facebook and two kids took over my life!

I just read my last post from a YEAR ago!! where has that time gone. I swear i was just on here. My goodness where to start where to start. Oh ya we have 2 girls now. Caitlyn joined our family on June 9th 2010. She is 7 months old now and just a joy to have in our lives. She absolutely adores her big sister. She is becoming quite vocal and is very close to crawling already. I just can't believe it. Madison is going to be 2 next week and a fireball and definitely 2, but we love and she is so fun to be around, she has such a happy personality. Sometimes I look at my life and want it slow down cause i feel like my kids are growing too fast, then there are days where i just want to not have babies anymore so we have a little more freedom. But we are good at rolling with the punches around here and we keep going. Right now i just want to say we are alive and it is one of my goals to keep this updated now, since we still don't live near family. I would give everyone a recap but lets be honest that is a whole year worth of stuff and I just don't have that time or energy.

"Spring cleaning"

I have been in a "spring cleaning" mood for awhile now....some may call it nesting. But I just prefer to say I am getting rid of junk. I go through things about once a week now and get rid of stuff we never use. I know I know, Once a week is quite a bit but I have a problem.
I always say, "But we will use it later" or "one day" or my favorite "someone made it for us so I cant get rid of it". Hence the once a week attempt. Now we arent really sentimental people around here much so when it comes to things people made, and I NEVER use, I will keep it around awhile but then after some hesitation....OFF TO GOODWILL it goes. We have donated quite alot lately and I don't think I am done. Its funny once it is out of our sight, we forget about it and don't even miss it. I do however keep Madison's old clothes (the ones that are still in good condition). We are expecting number two and if its a girl we will already have clothes! I think I am getting rid of everything to try to make room for number two. Wish me luck!

look whos walking!!!

She is walking, and has been for about a week now. But it is very clumsy.

oh the holidays (caution this could be a long post)

The past few months have just flown by and it is crazy to me that my child will be a year old this month. We have had so many trials and blessings in the last few months but lets start with the holidays.

Halloween:

We went to the church halloween party and had alot of fun. Of course we dressed her as a pumpkin and she was super cute. She was so tired by the end of the night(we got home well after bed time) she didnt make a peep when we put her to bed.

Thanksgiving:

For Thanksgiving we were able to go to Idaho and visit family there. We had alot of fun Madison was able to play with alot of cousins and got alot of attention from Grandparents and Aunts, i basically had a week off. Which was super duper nice. There is a picture here with Great Grandma Foster and majority of her great grandchildren (minus two). While we were there we told the family that i was pregnant again (yup its true) and due in June. well it turns out his cousin is also and due the same time as us. Crazy huh.
Christmas:

On our way to Oregon for Christmas Madison was able sit in the cockpit with the captain, and the flight attendents loved her, Evan and I just ahd to sit back and relax. When we got to my parents house she went right to this Santa doll taht made noise. She absolutely loved my moms dog, not so much the other way around. We very much enjoyed the holidays but are glad to be back home and back into routine.

ooh the waiting game....

what do you do when you are just waiting......

Evan has had a few offers for jobs "when they come open" now is just the waiting game.

Thats great but how long do we wait, when do you say enough is enough. We really need a job and Evan has worked so hard he deserves one. In the many interviews he has had he has been second or third in the running and barely gets beat out.

He has been told he will go far in his career, he just needs that foot in the door....how is he suppose to get that foot in there when nobody will give him that opportunity....

I know something will come up and this is just a trial of our patience, we need to stretch our patience more because it is running very thin these days......

Lately Madison has not wanted to take morning naps, okay thats fine. Today she got up at 7, it is now 11:45 and she is still going strong. I have tried to put her down and let her cry, after 20 min. i give up. Well just a few minutes ago a walked in there, it got really quite and I wanted to see if she was really asleep. lets back ukp let me tell you how her "side" of the room is set up. (she shares with computer and storage) . there is a chair, then a dresser and then her crib. I walk in there and she has pulled the bumper down and has clothes everywhere!! Of course i would never be that stupid as to leave her drawers open so she can reach into them. why would i do such a thing. Of course i started laughing, what other reaction would you have...then she started laughing (probably not a good thing to teach her that). Alas she is still awake and playing with Evans shoes and computer bag..........

why wouldn't I be grateful

Lately I have felt that I have been too complacent. I have been taking things for granted and I shouldn't be. I am so grateful for everything that i have in my life. I decided to make a list of everything (well not everything a short list) of what I am grateful for

My husband, he is such a wonderful man who works really hard so that I can have the opportunity to stay home and raise our daughter. He is funny and kind and I love him more every day.

Our daughter, she is such a joy and everyday is a new adventure watching her learn and grow.

having a place to live. We have a roof over our heads and food to eat.

family. We have been blessed with wonderful families who help in the time of need and are there to lend support when needed

health and wellness.. we have always been healthy, happy. No illnesses have come upon us and we are truley grateful for that.

friends, we have made such wonderful friends and I have someone to work out with who have a girl the same age.

Living where we do everything is within a few minutes of us.

We are truly grateful to have the opoportunity to get an education and to enjoy what we are doing.

I do love my life and am grateful for every minute that we have together as a family.

Did I tell you......

that I ran a 5k on Labor day......(no I am not telling you my time)......and I FINISHED!!! So i couldnt move the next day, okay, but it was worth it.

I am running another one on the 19th........with me luck.

And of course since my friend and I doing those heck why not sign up for a half marathon while we are at it.....Oct. 3rd that soon, okay its official, just shovel me off the pavement once the race is over.

Evan has had MANY interviews for jobs, I really hope he gets one, he can only take so much more and he works so hard that he deserves it. We don't see him much either, which is hard, and i think Madison knows cause when he is home she just wants to be with him.

Madison is NOT crawling yet, she is so stinking close, but it wil happen in time. But she does have 2 teeth...

look at me mom!

ahahaha, i walked in on her doing this the other day. She doesnt like anything on her head but for some reason she put the strainer on there and wouldnt take it off. I just love this girl.

wow its been awhile

man it have been awhile since I have posted. There has been alot going on. Evans mom and sister (Kendra) came up to visit and we went to Oregon to visit my family, then made a trip to seattle. Goodness...
When Evans family were up here, we went to an Orchard to pick some apricots and Kendra decided it was high time Madison tried an apricot and SHE LIKED IT.
We also went on a gondala ride. WE dont want her to be afraid of hights. Madison loves when her family is here especially when they get to babysit her while we go out and go golfing. I am actually starting to like and enjoy playing the sport. But the best part about family being here, she takes great naps!!
we also went to Oregon to visit my family. My little brother absolutely loved Madison, and she absolutley loved the dog. lol. The do not so much. Good thing Madi isnt mobile yet or the dog would have been in trouble.
