We spent a fun four days in Oceanside, CA for October break. Carie has wanted us to have a family beach trip for the last two years -- ever since she she spent a week with her friends here two summers ago.
It was fun having the beach almost to ourselves.
Courtney loved looking for shells.
We all missed Kimberly, but had fun anyway!
Carie, Matthew, and Courtney had fun looking for crabs.
They even made a jump rope out of sea weed!
Everyone had fun boogie boarding and trying to surf!
It was especially fun to spend an afternoon with the Estes family! The kids played in the waves, and built sand castles, and then we all had a late lunch at the harbor.
The weather was a little chilly for the beach, but by running to the hot tub every couple of hours, the kids managed to play at the beach all day!
It was a fun trip -- now everyone is hoping we can go again.
