Kimberly and I had a fun trip out to DC to look at GW. The campus was great and she was impressed with the speech and hearing center.
After meeting with faculty and administration most of Friday, we took a walk around the monuments. It was fun to visit and enjoy the beautiful tulips and the tail end of the cherry blossoms.
On Saturday morning we took a long jog from our hotel to the Lincoln monument, the new MLK monument, the Jefferson and down to the capitol and back. We couldn't resist stopping to take a few pictures, and visiting the botanical gardens and the National Gallery.
That afternoon we met Eric Meldrum for lunch and then drove to Alexandria with him and enjoyed Kings Street and the waterfront.
We had a lot of fun, got quite proficient on the Metro, and met lots of acquaintances who were so helpful with housing, transportation and church info.
It is good to be home!
