Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas Eve Dinner at Grandma and Grandpa's home with the Browns and the Glenns. We had a little Christmas concert, played games, and watched Luke 2.

The children loved playing the gift exchange game -- and everyone was still smiling at the end!

Grandma and Grandpa sent us little gifts from Peru, so we took a picture to send to them. We miss them!

Everyone loved playing the Wii Fit, but the best was watching Grandpa run! Way to go Grandpa!

SNOW!

Merry Christmas Eve!
This morning, Matthew said, "Mom, Come and see my snowman!"

Our neighbors brought a big truck back from Flagstaff this morning, covered in snow! Matthew built a little snowman right on top of the truck! Clark helped Courtney and Matthew bring snow back to our house to make a big snowman!

Building a snowman is a little warmner here than in Idaho.

The girls made fresh squeezed orange juice while the others had a snowball fight outside!

Creative Clarks!

Christmas time is bringing out the creativity in the Clark household!

Kimberly made this little nativity set in Young Womens with teracotta pots and wooden craft circles -- easy and cute! Carie helped stuff our green plants with sprigs of holly and little poinsettas in preparation for our ward's Enrichment Home tour a couple of weeks ago.

We decided we better make a Christmas centerpiece for the dining room table. We used a candle and wreath and added ribbon and ornaments to make it look festive. Kristin even managed to make a runner with some old fabric and trim we had from our stockings.

Courtney's 1st grade class made darling little candy trains for Christmas!

She enjoyed eating it as soon as she came home from school!

Carie loves to make things beautiful and has an eye for design.

Today before church, she made this necklace to go with her outfit. She is thinking about starting a little jewelry business!

She also added this cute flower to her hair elastic after looking at some she liked at the mall!

She looked beautiful as she sang in the Ward Choir for the Christmas program! Kristin, Kimberly, Katie, and Carie all participated. It was fun to be a small part of the beautiful Christmas music.

Temple Work

All of the grandchildren 12 + years went to the temple to do baptisms on Friday afternoon. The adults were able to go later that evening. It was wonderful. Here are a couple of pictures that were taken after the Snows and Browns had already left. Sorry!

Thanksgiving 2008

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with all of the Clark family, Grandma Geri, and the Glenns! Kristin was especially thankful that it did not rain and that her parents called her!

Kimberly and Matthew started the day off right by running the Turkey Trott with their cousins!

There was plenty of yummy food for Thanksgiving. All of the cousins had fun!
Julia and Eliza.
Carie and the boys hard at work on their quiz. (ET made a quiz for the grandkids about Grandma and Grandpa -- they took it very seriously!)
Another great table!
And another -- I think there were some more that I missed!
We had 43 people, so everyone was a good sport to split up at different tables!
There was plenty of dessert!
Cash, taking a break after all the food!
Courtney -- still going strong!
Grandma and Grandpa celebrated their 45th anniversary! RuthAnn and Emily surprised them with a fun DVD of their life together, and David had special bottles of Jones Soda made for them -- all of the kids loved that! We also had a blast playing some fun games at the church organized by the Browns!

The Twilight Midnight Premier

Katie is excited to see Twilight tonight -- so is the rest of Mesa! We took Katie down to the theater after Courtney's play to meet Cassidy and Taylor who had been in line since 4:00 pm. Thanks for saving seats -- what great friends!

Carie and Kimberly can't wait to see it on Friday!

The Aristocats

Courtney was in her first school play this week -- The Aristocats (She was a funny cat in the skits)

Waiting for makeup.

Courtney - the CAT

Saying her part - The top 5 reasons cats are better than dogs...........
The audience got a kick out of the #2 Reason ... "You don't have to walk a cat and carry around a little plastic baggie"
This brought back memories for ET of taking Shadow for a walk in the winter in Idaho Falls and having to do just that!

Courtney seeing that her whole family made it to the show!

End of the Season

Matthew's flag football season is over -- he made some good friends and we had fun watching him play!

New York City

Kristin spent a wonderful weekend in NYC with Anna and Jon, Katie, Cami and Charlie Groberg. We arrived Saturday afternoon and spent a few hours in Central Park enjoying the beautiful fall leaves and the carousel with Cami. That night we went to "A Tale of Two Cities" and loved it. I highly recommend it to anyone!

On Sunday we attended the blessing of little Charles Carpenter Groberg -- it took an extra long time as we had to get from East to West in the middle of the NYC marathon! Anna, Jon, and I spent some time in the Met that afternoon and then we all enjoyed a delicious dinner with Katie's family that night!

On Monday morning we went jogging in Central Park (and took lots of pictures of the beautiful fall leaves), got bagels at H&H Bagels, and then went shopping on 5th Ave. before grabbing a quick bite to eat and heading back to JFK. We arrived back in Phoenix at 8:00pm. It was a great trip!

Halloween

Carie, Matthew, and Courtney were the only ones in our Halloween picture this year! Carie was a chef (she collected her candy in her large mixing bowl), Matthew was a Peruvian soccer player in honor of Grandma and Grandpa, and Courtney was a pirate by default (she decided the Tiger costume was not comfy, the kimono was too big, and the witch costume was too small!)

We had fun at Grandma and Grandpas and enjoyed the traditional goolash and cornbread. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Regionals

Kimberly swam in regionals on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1. Mountain View won regionals and Kimberly swam one of her best times!

City Champs

The Poston football team was undefeated this year. They played Stapley on Wednesday, October 29. The cheerleaders did a great job pumping up the crowd and Katie surprised us with her pit and pendulum trick -- we were at the edge of our seats just watching her!
