Baby Breneman!

So since I've called half the world so far to announce our good news I guess I should post some pics and let everyone see our little one. Oh, and it's going to be Baby BOY Breneman! We cannot believe it! I guess both our families will just have to wait for a granddaughter. He's due April 16th, and he's growing just great. I'm 18.5 weeks now and feeling much better than I have in a while. Hence the no posts for the last while, after summer vacations and then getting pregnant I wasn't in the mood. But hopefully I can keep up on blogging about this crazy little guy who is very stubborn when it come to pictures and likes to use me as a punching/kicking bag all day!

Here's out little cutie!

Stretch that leg!

He wasn't up for pictures and I had to keep moving around in hopes that he would get out of the fetal position but all he did was kick me, I think it was nap time and he wasn't willing to give up the comfy spot he was in :) We also got some pics of his face straight on and they are sort of creepy to me, it looks like a skull with eyeballs staring straight at you :P Travis thinks it's cool but I'll pass on sharing those. I'm not sure how long he is but he weighs about 8oz now so he's right on track and he's got all this little fingers and toes (which the tech said are long, like Travis's)!

It'll be a while before we come up with any names, for some reason boy names seem so much harder than girls. But it's probably a good thing we are having a boy since I would probably go crazy on all the crafty things you can make for girls. I'll just have to stick to making some blankets and burp rags now, and some peepee teepee's!

We're still here, but no pictures

One of these days I'll get around to posting something. Since all our pictures are now confined to Travis's phone and we can only download them onto the pc, which I never use, it's been difficult to want to blog. I hate blogging without pictures, it seems like a waste. But just to update whoever, Travis is now officially done with his Master degree, just waiting on the diploma. He now spends his time studying 2-3 hours a night for the CPA test. And I'm still just the lazy house wife! For 4th of July we went to California and went sailing! So much fun!! Just after we got back from there I went down to Texas for a week to hang with my favorite little men Britton and Liam my nephews. It was such fun! Since then it hasn't been too exciting. Labor Day we decided to stick around Vegas since our car a/c still isn't fixed and we went to the 51's vs Bees baseball game and had sooo much fun! Anyway I felt bad not posting in like 3 months so at least this is something, yeah!

Happy Birthdays!

Travis and I had our dual birthdays a couple of weeks ago. Since my birthday was on Memorial Day we got to go up to my mom's to visit for the weekend. We didn't get to see much of them on Saturday since they went to my grandparents farm for my Granddad's birthday which is two days before mine. We didn't go because we hadn't gotten in until 3 the night before and it's a 3 hour drive one way. We did get to go birthday shopping though and we found out my debit card number had been stolen and someone was taking money out of our account :( But we figured it out and it's all good now. On Sunday we played games and ate steamed dungeonous crab. So awesome! Then on Monday we went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean and went shoe shopping! We opened presents and ate some cake before we had to drive back home. It was a way fun weekend though!

Travis found this shirt. It reminded him of this old Peanuts shirt that I wear all the time even though it's practically falling apart.

The sweet shoes my mom picked out and bought me!! So awesome!!

Love my mommy!

That Friday was Travis's birthday. We were back in Las Vegas so I made his favorite cake, yellow with chocolate frosting.

We opened presents before we went out to eat at Smashburger, yum!

Travis got some new ties and a new, better fitting Angels hat. Aren't we cute!

Happy Birthday Travis!

A wonderful weekend

I think I'm almost updated on all the things we've been doing. First Travis's dad came out to visit for a weekend, then we went down to California for Easter the next week, then my family came to visit over our anniversary the next week! Busy! Oh and we broke down completely and got cable. So for the last two weeks I've been watching HGTV, Travel, Animal Planet, E!, TLC, Food Network and everything else in between! But back to the point of this post, to recount the adventures with my family visiting. We got to hang out with Britton and Jess on Friday. Saturday we all met up at the Griddle just down the street from us and as soon as we walked in Britton shrugged his little shoulders and asked "Where Twavis?" SO Cute! we all died laughing and then pointed to Travis who was getting us a table. Then we went down the strip to the famous Pawn Stars pawn shop! The line looked long and we weren't sure we even wanted to wait to see inside, but we couldn't pass it up and the line went pretty fast. It was awesome! So many amazing things and the people there were really interesting and told us all about some of the cool pieces they had in the shop. Of course we didn't see anyone famous, I would have like to see Chumley (who I always call cubby when we are watching the show) but it was so much fun anyway!

Me, Tay, Mom, and Cyd outside the Pawn shop!

Then we headed over to Joes Crab Shack for some dungeonous crab! and then back to the strip for some Bellagio water works! We saw the amazing flowers inside the Bellagio and a painting made from flowers. Here are Tay, Mom, and Cyd. Tay is getting so tall and she's the youngest, why didn't I get those genes?

On Sunday we got to take Britton to church with us since Jess and John had to go to the wedding and he was so good and even went to nursery for an hour! Then we sinned and went to the pool! Britton, Travis, and Tay all swam while me and Cyd chilled on the side. Britton would only stay on the top step and cried when Travis took him out into the water. But he had fun splashing and being splashed and running (even when we told him to walk) back and forth from the pool to the hot tub.

He chilled with me for a minute, but the sun won out and he got back in the pool.

With his favorite Twavis!

And my favorite photo of him on the top step, he got braver the longer we were there, or maybe just hotter!

After we swam my sisters and mom had to head back home and we got to watch UP with Britton until he fell asleep next to me and Jess came to pick him up. What a wonderful weekend!

Happy Anniversary!

Two weeks ago Travis and I celebrated our 3rd Anniversary! Travis got me perfume and I got him a holder for his cell phone for the car. My family came to visit on our anniversary because my sister was in town going to her sister-in-laws wedding. We all went out to Joes Crab Shack! I always get the dungenous crab and Travis got a mixed steam pot. SOOOO Good! Then we went to the Bellagio to see the water show, since my family has never been and then we went over and had Cold Stone for desert. All in all a wonderful anniversary! Love you Trav!

Easter was a long time ago but...

we did get to go visit Travis's family in California and we had lots of fun. We got to go to a Angels game with all of Travis's brothers and his dad. It kind of sucked that there were more Red Socks fans then Angels fans and since the Red Socks totally killed it got a little out of control. There was a girl sitting 2 rows back from us who was totally wasted and was screaming at the top of her lungs for the Red Socks. But on the bright side we got some killer nachos, which I thought I took a picture of, but I'll just say they had chicken, chili, nacho cheese, jalapenos, salsa and sour cream! Amazing!!

The boys: Travis, Matt, Dad, Josh, and John.

It was a very packed game!

After the game I got to die Easter eggs with Matt, Travis's little brother who is taller then him! We got really creative and had a lot of fun. Happy Very Late Easter!

Another Failed Attempt

So we finally gave in and decided that we would go with the cheapest starter tv cable that cox offers, which would only be $20 a month. You only get local channels but we decided that was better then nothing. So we called them up and they said that they don't offer that in our area!? We live in Las Vegas, a huge city and they don't offer that package! Travis asked them where they do offer that package but he couldn't get an answer. Which means that if we want any kind of tv we have to pay $56 for cable + $10 for the converter boxes = $70 an month with taxes. I hate Cox!

Mom's Birthday Weekend

This weekend we got to go up to my mom's for her birthday. My sister and her husband and boys were all there. It was so much fun just laying around and eating! We got Kneaders french toast for breakfast and on mom's birthday we got to go to Molly's in Provo, it is so amazing! We all got different meals so I tried a little of everything and they were all great. French chicken, brisket, pot roast, bbq chicken, string beans, mashed potatoes, baked beans, and corn chowder! So GOOD!

Grandma and Grandad sent mom flowers and we got a Kneaders pineapple coconut cake!

The cutest part was when we lit the candles Britton thought the cake was for him (his birthday was at the beginning of the month). So he sat on mom's lap and tried to blow the candles out, but he was too far away so mom still had to do it, but it was so cute watching him blow!

I made mom this terrarium with moss and gnomes made from clay. She loves gnomes!

Britton got really attached to Travis right before we left, Jess had gone to take the boys to the airport, so we stayed with Britton and mom for a little bit before we left too. Travis took Britton out to play and run around. When they got back in Travis sat down and Britton kept pulling on his arm and saying "come on, come on Travis!" it was so cute! Then we took this picture of us and we showed Britton and he kept pointing to Travis and saying "Travis, Travis, Travis" which actually sounds more like Twavis. When it was time for us to go mom took Britton from Travis and he started to bawl and reach for Travis. It was the saddest thing!

We miss him already, but they get to come visit us next month!

Oh, Britton

This is my nephew Britton.

I think he is just the cutest little boy in the whole world! Since we don't have kids yet I have to boast about him, but that's fine by me! Britton turned 2 on Friday. We wish we could have been there but we get to see him this month, we are very excited!

And this is my sister Jess, she's a great mother as I'm sure you can tell. I love her too! (but Britton might be a tad cuter :) That's all for now.

Valentines, but mostly other things

This last week was pretty crazy for us here. Last Monday I had to drive up to the scariest part of Las Vegas to go to a library surrounded by homeless people to drop off a resume. There is a library opening up near us, but the HR Department is up north of the strip. Still no word there but they said it might still be a while till they sort through the applications. Sad. Then on Tuesday I decided I had officially had enough of my outrageously long hair and went to good old Walmart for a cheap cut. It turned out really great, other then my bangs which I'm fully capable of cutting myself. (pictures to come) Then on Friday we finally caved in and decided we wanted tv. We've been living off reruns of The Office on Netflix. So we called Dish Network, committed to two years, signed up for 2 DVR's and 60 channels for $30 a month and made the appointment for Saturday between 8-10am. Saturday we wake up at 7:30 to a missed call, Travis called them back and 2 min later the Dish guy was trying to get a signal from our porch. And he couldn't...sad. So with our Dish Network canceled we headed out for breakfast at Denny's then on to DSW to spend our would have been tv money on new shoes! It was lots of fun. Travis got some really nice brown Stacy Adam's and I got some new everyday slip-ons. Then came Monday, yes Valentines Day, and Travis's computer stopped working. It would have been fine if it was mine, but Travis is still taking classes, so sad. We took it to get fixed but the part won't be in till Saturday and that might not even be the part that it needs. So on Tuesday night we went out on the search for a new computer. My computer could die any day now, a new computer was for the best. We ended up getting a HP with a 20" screen, 4 GB memory and 1TB hard drive for $499! We thought it was a great deal. And here are the pretty flowers Travis brought home for me.

He did such a nice job!

Red Rock Canyon and L&L

On Saturday I had to go take a CPR class so that I can apply for school positions out here in Nevada. It was only suppose to go for an hour and a half maybe 2 hours, but it ended up talking 2 and a half hours! I was so bored! When I finally got out I got to go to JoAnn's which I've been looking forward too since there are only two in all of Las Vegas and they are both at least 20 min from our house and even the Walmarts don't carry fabric here. It was so crowded! Travis got in line while I was looking for the stuff I needed. By the time I got everything I needed and joined up with Travis we still had to wait at 5 more min. It was even worse when we left. After we got home we went out with Jesse, Lois, and little Caleb to Red Rock Canyon. We hiked up Ice Box Canyon, it was so cold!! The hike was pretty rocky and it was really long. It would probably be better during the summer, when you could jump in the water. We actually saw some stupid kids jumping in the water, it was ice cold! Before we got out of the canyon the water was starting to ice over it was that cold.

It looked sunny, but once we hit the canyon, it was so cold!

Travis got these sweet photos with his new HTC Evo. He loves it and I love the games! The camera is so nice though, 8 megapixles is crazy for phones is so awesome.

I know this tree is huge but it was still really scary to walk across!

Travis got this picture from up near the waterfall. Lois and I stayed at the bottom with Caleb since it was crazy to get up there. You can see us way down there. We are those little dots.

Getting dark, but so pretty!

On our way home, Jesse and Lois showed us that there was a L&L by the Costco and we were so excited! We got chicken katsu, I love the macaroni salad too! SOOO good! A great end to the day. I was so tired when we got home. Such a busy day, but lots of fun!

Couches and Car Rides

This weekend was great and terrible at the same time. Travis' dad, step-mom and brother came up from California to visit. This was great because Travis' dad got a new truck which is HUGE so when we bought new couches it was perfect for bringing them home. We've been sitting on a futon since we moved to Cedar City and it's been terrible. Those are the worst things ever! It started going flat a week after we bought it. So we got some sweet couches from Big Lots and we are soooo happy! Then on Saturday we went to the temple, which was great but we went with Travis' dad and step-mom and his step-mom's mom. The only problem is that his step-mom's mom drove (she's about 70) and she won't let anyone else drive her car and she won't take the highway. We live kind of far from the temple, about 35 min by the highway. And on our way there, she took a minor highway so we could get there on time for our session but on the way home she refused to take the highways. It took us 3 hours to get home! We did make two stops to get food and to drop in on some visiting family (which I'm not a big fan of anyway) so that takes out one hour. So what should be a 35 min drive took us 2 hours, with a very full car. I thought I was going to scream by the time we got home. It was terrible! It totally ruined the temple awesomeness. Never again! But at least I got to come home to these sweet couches. Now we just need some pillows for them.

And the pretty temple.

Snow in Las Vegas?

Yes, we had snow in Las Vegas on Monday. Luckily Travis woke me up on his way out to work and I got a picture before it all melted. But it looked liked a blizzard when it happened. And I thought we moved to the desert.

New Years 2011

We didn't do much for New Years this year. Travis thinks new years is boring because it's a holiday for drunks! I thought that was hysterical! We still had our sparkling cider and watched the fireworks. These were set off from our condos parking lot. Crazy.

Then we drove across the street to where it looks out on the strip and watched the fireworks. Next year I want to go down there, they block off the entire strip and set fireworks off the tops of all the major hotels and synchronize the colors. It was awesome! It was too far away to get a good picture, but this one looked pretty sweet anyway.

This last year has been pretty sweet: Travis got into grad school and he got a 4.0 his first semester, we moved to Cedar City, Travis got his first real accounting job, I got health insurance (yeah!), we moved to a sweet apartment in Las Vegas, and found out that I'm going to be an auntie again! A very exciting year and hopefully a more exciting one to come. Happy New Years!
