Rally

Went to check out my old rental apartment this morning. On my way, saw more than thousands of people walking on the street protesting. Heard there were more then hundred thousands! They were protesting about the government's planned workplace law changes. It was a sight that was never or will never ever be seen in Singapore. In order to reach my old rental apartment from my current 1, I had to cut through the protest rally. I had this adrenlina rush while I cut through them that I was not sure why I had. Must be some protest that I had deep down in me that was brought to the surface. Well I guess I will just have to let it sink back.

My Girlfriend Went Home...

My girlfriend gone home this afternoon, it breaks my heart to see her walk into the departure gate. I am already missing her. Now I am all alone. Gonna spend these few days relaxing, rent dvd to watch, read online comics, eat and sleep. After that gonna pick up some poly notes which I brought back from Singapore and do some foundation studies, think my foundation was all shattered during my 2 years and 4 months in NS. It was hard studying 3rd year University without foundation!

Mt Buller Tour

Woke up in a 5 degree morning, proceeded to the coach and was told the temperature on Mt Buller was 0 degree! It was a simple tour, we went straight to a place near the mountain to rent gears for the snowy terrain, then spent 5 hours in a village at Mt Buller. We got 2 pairs of walking boots, gloves and pants as well as a Toboggan since we are not going to ski. A Toboggan is a snowing board for people to sit on and slide down the slope. We walked around the village for some photo taking, sat the lift that carried us to the summit then played Toboggan before departing. It was most fun among the 3 tours.

City Tour & Penguin Parade Tour

Woke up late this morning but was able to board the coach in time. It was a pleasant City Tour, we visited a garden, a memorial and drove around the city sightseeing with the driver/tour guide briefing us the history of certain building that come across. Next was the Penguin Parade Tour. There were too many tourists for this tour so the management had to get another coach, a double decker coach, & we got to seat on the top deck. The Penguin Parade is located at Phillip Island but before the coach would reach there, it made a stop at Warrook Cattle Farm, a place for tourists to feed and touch kangaroos. We took several photos with the kangaroos, ducks and goats. The photos of goats were taken behind a fence as they are separated with the kangaroos and the ducks. Next was to Phillip Island, we went to Koalas Conservation Centre and got to see koalas They are cute little fellows. Sadly we were not allow to touch the koalas not even to shake the branches. However, my girlfriend got to touch 1 of the koalas while it was within our reach and was told by the keeper not to do so....^^;; Next was the Penguin Parade, the penguins there are the tiniest in the world, only about 12 inches in height. We were not allow to bring any cameras to take the penguins as the flash lights would frighten them. The parade is basically a daily routine on how the penguins swim upshore from their fishing trips, emerge from the ocean and cross the beach to their sand dune burrows. They always swim upshore after nightfall, to avoid sharks and other predators. The management built a wooden path for tourists to follow the penguins side by side as they move inland. This month is their fishing trip month so not many penguins swim upshore, only around 100+. We were told that the no. could reach up to 400+ during Christmas season. Before we moved on to a town COWES for dinner, 1 coach break down, tourists on that coach was transferred to ours. By the time we returned back to the city, it was already 11pm, next morning will be Mt Buller and departure time is at 6.45am, gonna sleep now!

Great Ocean Road Tour

An unforgettable tour, much better than the last time I went with my friends, as we were guided to places rather than anyhow stopping to have a look. The downside was too rush as usual for any other tours. We went to bell beach 1st for photo taking & morning tea. A place I had not been too. The driver/tour guide prepared billy tea, brewing tea leaves in a bucket. The method of mixing the tea leaves in the hot water is to swing the bucket 3 time overhead in the clockwise direction then another 1 time anti-clock. Ofcourse, there would be some water spilling out of the bucket. Next was 2 scenic lookouts for photo taking, both were better location than those my friends & I picked last time. After the 1st scenic lookout, we had an unforgettable incident. Never EVER go to the coach toilet when its moving along CURVY roads, my girlfriend kana motion sickness after that and vomitted...^ ^;; Fortunately, she became lively again in the afternoon. Next was Apollo Bay a small town in the middle of the Great Ocean Road, my friends & I stopped by this place for dinner last time, this time it was for lunch, ironically, we ate at the same place and the same table. We had an hour free & easy time so we went to take some wonderful beach photos & hill photos. Next was straight to 12 Apostles. This time I got to sit on a helicopter with my girlfriend for about 10 mins. The view from the sky was magnificent. There is an eroded coast that looks like a shape of a seahorse. Next was to the main senic site of 12 Apostles. Took several pictures as usual then moved on to the Loch Ard Gorge aka shipwreck coast which is where the seahorse lies. Went with my friends the last time, which we missed out on a cave site, this time I managed to bring my girlfriend along. Port Campbell was the next stop, which we ate some snacks in that small town. There is a park beside the dock which is also a good photo taking site. Then, finally our last stop, London Bridge, another great senic lookout. We were told about an incident from the tour guide, found this website that tells the story. That marked the end of the day tour. Next day will be the City Tour & Penguin Parade. Yeah .... little animals :>

Great Ocean Road, City Tour, Penguin Parade & Mt Buller

Book a 3 single days tour package with my girlfriend, Great Ocean Road, Penguin Parade & Mt Buller. The package comes with a free 1/2 day City Tour. Tomorrow will start at Great Ocean Road will be going to some places where I did not visit with my friends the last time. Starts at morning and back at night. The next day is Penguin Parade mostly about wildlife, will visit Kangaroos, Koalas then Penguins on Phillip Island. I guess the Island is similar to Sentosa. The Penguin Parade starts at afternoon, so we plan our City Tour in the morning. The final day is Mt Buller, a place for skiing, sightseeing and playing snow. Obviously, we will not be skiing, just want to have a chance to be in a snowy environment and throw snow ball at each other!

Back In Melbourne

Back in Melbourne 2 days ago, moving to a higher storey apartment, the night I returned. After that went to have dinner with my girlfriend and topped up my grocery. Unfortunately the sky decided to rain so when we were back at my place, we were soak, 'Cold & Soak'. Took my last paper the next day, it was hard, now I can only hope for the best & expect the worse. I had a good night sleep last night, have not had 1 since I went back to Singapore, too much stuff to do in too little time over there. Now it is time to enjoy my holidays with my girlfriend!

Singapore Here I Come!

Just finished my 2nd paper, very difficult, think I 80% gonna fail. Most probably will repeat that module. I have gone through all the past years questions but ironically, the lecturer decides to set the paper totally different from the pass years papers. All the pass years papers are fairly easy, most of the questions are like 'What does this term mean', 'What does it do', 'How does it operate'...... etc. Today's paper was like this 'How to prevent this from happening', 'What will happen if it fails', 'How to solve this problem'....etc. All these questions are so difficult, I sat down there and tried to answer as much as I can while thinking the examiner gonna take my answers as rubbish, I gonna fail, gonna repeat the module. It's the worst 2 hrs of my life!

Life goes on, I pack finished most of my stuff and will be on my way to Melbourne airport in 1 hrs time. ETA Singapore 2300, Singapore Here I come!

Down With Flu!

Down with flu for the pass few days. It started on Wednesday night. After dinner, must be something I ate, running nose, headache and probably fever. Took panadol and the headache was gone the next day but the running nose still persisted so continue taking panadol. Worse part of it, was that, I had an exam on Friday and I could not get anything into my head. Instead of memorizing the notes, I jot down in point form hoping to remember what I wrote. Sad thing was, I could not complete all the notes. Then came Friday, I was still sick, went into exam hall, the duration was 3hrs, I handed it in 1hr! 66 MCQ in total I only confident around 20! Just hope that I can get 13 more out of the rest. Now, recovering from flu, gonna study for my next paper on the 16.

Joke Per Post (If I Remember)
Mexican American War

During the Mexican/American war, an intense long standoff occurred along the front. For days and days neither side made any advances. Finally, an American general had a bright idea.
He aimed his rifle to the Mexican trenches and yelled "Hey Juan!"
A soldier jumped up and replied "What?"
The general shot him dead. This continued for three days.
A Mexican general decided that two could play this game and decided to try it out. He called out "Hey John!!"
An American replied "John isn't here......is that you Juan?"
The Mexican general stood up, "Yeah!"...
