The next fun thing planned for our anniversary date was backlight miniature golfing. This place is located in downtown Portland and it is underground.
It's really well decorated and so fun. My camera had a hard time taking all the pictures because the light was so dim.
Regae music is played on the speakers, so it's not too spooky. But we both agreed that it was probably too scary for the kids.
We used to go miniature golfing all the time when we were dating, but there isn't a good miniature golf place where we live now. Handsome Husband was pretty stoked when he found out about this place.
Definitely a fun surprise.
Afterwards we ate at Qdoba and walked along the riverfront.
We stopped at a street fair and found this cool booth.
This guy makes crazy things from silverware. We ended up buying a magnetized knife handle that has been cut so it becomes a miniature vase. Perfect for when the kids bring me flowers! I loved the bracelets made out of curved forks.
After taking a dip in the pool at our hotel we went to Newport's Seafood and Grill for dinner.
That drink is a raspberry mint thing. And it's a little heavy on the mint.
Salmon stuffed with crab. YUM.
After dinner we went to the movies to see Source Code. It was awesome. :) Back at our hotel we posed for a few together pictures.
My favorite:
Handsome Husband says this is my natural smile.
I always look forward to our anniversaries. This one did not disappoint. We had a great time. It is always so wonderful to be able to focus on my husband and be reminded why I love him and why I was so blessed to get married to him. 9 years and going strong!
