Ruby, Dallin, and the Box

So I’m starting to rethink my Christmas 🎄 shopping 🎁 after watching Ruby and Dallin play with this box 📦 for an entire afternoon this weekend. 😂

First, the box 📦 became their house. 🏠 Then, the box 📦 became their school. 🛎 Next, the box 📦 became their garden 🌿and all sorts of leaves,🌱sticks, 🌾and flower petals 🌺 made their way inside. After that, the box 📦became a sled 🛷 and the kids were pushing each other up and down the hall. Finally, the box 📦 became a bed 🛏 and they would tuck each other into the box.
Isn’t it fascinating to watch these little minds 👩‍👦 run wild. Maybe I should return the Shopkins, Hatchimals, and Mickey Mouse gear and stick with some boxes 📦📦 for Christmas.😂😊

San Diego Holiday Half Marathon

I love running 🏃‍♀️ and I love 💗 races! I remember when I was pregnant 🤰with the twins 👶👶 I wasn’t able to run for about 8️⃣ months and I missed it so much. I know it sounds silly but everyday I would wear my running socks 🧦 to remind myself that I would be able to run 🏃‍♀️ again someday.

On Saturday, I ran the San Diego Holiday Half Marathon 🎅🏻🎄and it felt great to be out running. By far my favorite part of the race was at mile 1️⃣2️⃣ when I had nothing in the tank ⛽️ and suddenly out of nowhere a BAREFOOT 🏃🏻‍♂️ runner blew right past me. 😳 At that point, I told myself that if this guy can run 1️⃣3️⃣.1️⃣ miles without shoes,👟 by golly I could finish the race if it was the last thing I did! 😂🏃‍♀️

3 Year Old Dallin

"What mommy? I'm doing nuffing."  Oh Dallin, Dallin, Dallin!!!  This little boy is as cute as can be with the dark brown eyes and brown hair but man oh man he is seriously into EVERYTHING!  If he's not sneaking a lollipop, then he's drawing on the wall with marker, or he's climbing in the refrigerator, or climbing on the counter-top to get into the vitamins, or he is peeing outside on the grass, or clogging the toilet with rolls of toilet paper.

People say that I'm going to forget these days but I have pictures to prove it!  Haha - Love you my little Dally even if you are into everything.

Floral Arrangement Class in Red Ledges

Over Thanksgiving, my sister in-law Katri invited me to a floral center piece making class.  It was such a neat experience and I loved ❤️creating Thanksgiving center pieces 💐🌿🌻 out of REAL pumpkins🎃. This was a first for me but not the last 😂, l👀k out I may have found a new hobby.

DI - Thrift store Shopping

While we were in Utah  for Thanksgiving👨‍👩‍👦‍👦, I did something spontaneous... I took the kids thrift store shopping for the first time and we all had a blast! My grandma use to take me as a kid 🧒 and I get nostalgic thinking about those days.

Well, after about 4️⃣5️⃣ minutes of browsing the isles, the kids thought thrift-store shopping was the coolest thing ever!

For less than $25 we left with about 2️⃣0️⃣ items: Gordon got 3 nerf guns and a pair of new ⚽️ cleats, Ruby scored a pair of Gymboree red clogs 👠, the red pair of dress shoes👠, some Natives👟, a women’s red purse👛, a teachers bell🛎, some green stuffy, and a doll👶, Lily was thrilled with her Minnie Mouse bus 🐭🚌 (that had Daisy’s head broken off🤪) and a Minnie Mouse cash register 🐭💸, and Dallin found a bucket🗑, a mini plastic suitcase💼, and a bag of beads and googlie eyes 👀.

The best part is, the kids are still playing with all of this stuff! I think it is fair to say that we will be visiting this store again the next time we are in Utah!

Gordonism - Age 8

Gordon says, "Mommy, is rain Heavenly Father’s pee?”  (He says this completely straight faced.)

It doesn’t rain much here in San Marcos so when it rains, the kids think it is a big deal. Super funny!

Arizona We Miss You!

My parents were in Arizona for my dads baseball tournament and we decided to tag along for a long weekend.  Boy I'm sure glad we did.  This kids did some hiking on South Mountain, watched grandpa play a little baseball, went to the Legoland Discovery center, ate at some tasty places, swam and hot tubed, and hung out with mom and dad.  It was great, I love being spontaneous and going on new adventures.

 Legoland Aquarium
It was cute to see these hikers together.

They made it to the top!

What are you up to Dally???

Lily has been sick lately and has been laying around watching a lot of shows lately.  I hope she feels well soon.
This little boy is always into something.  Lately, he will sneak candy, toys, beads, yarn, books, goldfish, really just about anything he can find into his bed at night.  He is so funny.

Father/Daughter Campout

Eric took Ruby camping in October with our church group.  Ruby had an amazing time with Eric and her little buddies at the camp.

There was a giant teeter-totter, zip line, campfire, games, and more.  Lily was still a little to young to go but next year she may join Ruby and Eric in the festivities.

My sweet little Ruby girl all tucked into bed.  She is wearing my kitty shirt when I was her age.  This was actually the shirt I broke my arm in but my amazing mom sewed it back together again and it's good as new and Ruby loves it.

I love you forever and ever and ever Ruby girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

These Twins!

It's hard for me to believe that Dallin and Lily are already 3 and half years old.  They are still a ton of work but I love how different each of them are.  Lily wants to be a puppy, baby, or kitty constantly and just wants to be "snuggled" as she says.  "Mommy snuggle me, snuggle me."  Hearing her say those few little words just melts my heart, she is so precious.

She still loves Minnie Mouse, being Ruby's student, playing the role of a baby, being held by me, and a few little friends at school.
Now don't let this smile fool you!!! HA!  Dallin is seriously the funniest little guy.  He is smart as a tack and is as sneaky as ever.  If there is candy in the house, he will find it.  If there is a toilet to be clogged, he did it by putting an entire roll of toilet paper in it.  If there is someone hurt, 9 times out of 10 Dallin was somehow involved.  This kid has aged me, I'm telling you but I'm still crazy about him.  I hold onto these precious smiles and his infectious belly laugh.

I love you my sweet babies!!!

Bike Riding and Scooters

Ever since Gordon learned to ride a bike this summer in Utah, the kids have been nuts about wanting to be outside riding bikes and scooters.  These are the days I wished we lived on a cul-da-sac because the kids are riding all over the place.

Our cute neighbors are always out riding around and my kids absolutely love it!
Mr. Dallin LOVESSSSSSSS to ride!   He is such a funny boy!
