It was a rainy St. Patrick's Day today but a lovely day never the less. Gordon played his little heart out at Kidsville Playground today and was such a delight to watch. He is so cute! Our sweet neighbors had a fun little St. Patty's day get together at their house with a bon fire and all, it was lovely day.

Pink Slip Time Again
Yes it is that time of year again! Pink Slip time (the time my school district hands out a piece of paper that lets me know that I may not have a teaching position for the upcoming school year.) It's so frustrating to go through this year after year. Although last year I didn't get one which was so nice. One of my darling students and her adorable mother make me some pink cake pops and wrote the sweetest note that hopefully this will be all the pink I'll be seeing for a while. Super thoughtful of them. I can't imagine not teaching and hopefully I'll get my job back. It's crazy to think I have been teaching for 9 years and 7 of the years have been in Temecula. Even after teaching for 7 years in the district I still have to go through the process. I'm thinking positive thoughs and know everything will work out the way it is suppose to, it always does.
I was "Thing 1074" for Dr. Seuss day on March 2nd. Basically this is my hire number in the district (out of 1,300 +) teachers. It means that there are 1073 teachers that were hired before me and only a couple of hundred hired after me - yeaks!

For Dr. Suess day 2 of my buddies dressed up as story book characters, Tina dressed up as the Trunchbull from one of my favorite stories, Matilda. I couldn't stop laughing every time I passed her in the hall way. I begged her to come in my classroom during the day while the students were working and act like the crazy headmistress and she did! My kids thought it was the best day of the year, Tina aka the Trunchbull was a total hit, it was a great day!
