Bucket Baths

Lately, when we have been getting home from the beach, we head for the backyard to rinse off our feet. Well, the last couple of times, Gordon comes running toward me with this little blue bucket he found in the garage. I filled the bucket with water (thinking that we could just stick his hands in and pour the rest of the water over his feet). Let's just say Gordon had another idea. He has had so much fun in this bucket that he, who would have thought! That cutie!

Tada!
Worming his way into the bucket!

Almost there!

Herb Metras

My 90 year old grandfather (my dad’s, dad) passed away in January. My grandfather had suffered from a stroke about 5 years ago and has been battling the side affects ever since. So it was bitter-sweet to see him go. He was a kind man who loved his family and country. We attended his beautiful memorial service with family. It was a perfect day and I was so happy to be with my wonderful family. Although it is sad to see love ones leave, it is so comforting to know that we will get to see them again. I am grateful for my family and for the plan of salvation.

Family Gathering for Herb Metras

Gordon was already to get on the airplane.

Gordon was daddy's little helper with the luggage.
My talented father played at the service, it sounded beautiful.

Gordon slept through the whole service!

Our little man just waking up!

My uncle Bruce, my grandma, and my dad.

This was Gordon before the service getting ready and even brushing his teeth!

Baby Binkie

Ok, so you know how much Gordon adores his binkies. Well, I was cleaning the other day and found his baby binkie, well now the only binkie he wants these days is his "baby binkie!" You may have wondered what happened to "pink binkie," that is an excellent question. I think we lost it at the park a couple of weeks back, I was ready to go to the store and buy some more pink binkies but Eric put his foot down and said, "No pink binkies!"

Pink Binkie

I picked Gordon up from Kathy's house yesterday and low and behold he had a "Pink Binkie" in his mouth. When I came in he was grinning and giggling like crazy. He immediately pulled it out of his mouth and said with excitement, "Pink Binkie!!!" I laughed and asked him where he got it. To this there was no response but Kathy's daughter, who was helping out, told me they couldn't find his and just gave him this one to tide him over. Well, here we are a day later and Gordon doesn't want to go anywhere without his pink binkie. It's pretty funny. After work today we headed to the beach to play around for an hour or so. Yes, the pink binkie had to come with us as well. So funny!

Yesterday's car ride home, with the pink bink.Pink bink at the beach!

Normally Gordon has a yellow or green binkie - not today or yesterday though and I'm guessing not tomorrow either! (Notice the hat on his head, yeah it was on his head for .5 seconds, he still doesn't like hats and either cries or laughs when they are on. In this picture he laughed, silly guy!)

Sports Car Gordon

Gordon loves cars, especially when he is not in his carseat which is just about never. However, over the weekend Gordon had a chance to sit in Uncle Scotts beautiful 74 Chevelle. He was giggling like crazy and thought he was the king, it was darling!
