Rosie and Gordon

My cute dad just found these pictures of me when I was a little girl and sent them to me. It made me smile and then think of Gordon of course. I'm not sure how old I was but I can't be that much older than Gordon here. I loved eating then and still do today, oh yeah and so does Gordon, he is a great eater!

Christmas in San Diego continued

Eric and Gordon enjoying the beautiful Christmas day.

This was the first Christmas that I can remember that we didn't spend in Santa Rosa. However, Santa Rosa came to us which was awesome. My family was here for a week and then Eric's came the day after Christmas and stayed for a few days. Gordon was a happy camper sleeping in his own bed and we were happy parents because he was sleeping. All in all it was a win-win situation. Christmas day we actually spent a few hours playing on the beach which was heavenly. Gordon played in the sand and the water, he was so cute running about. We had so much fun here that it may become a tradition that Christmas is here next year as well. We will see!

My sweet, darling parents!

Fizzler

Whenever Eric hears the word Sizzler he becomes nostalgic. There are not too many things that take him to this place but Sizzler is one of these. Eric has great memories of this place from his childhood which has carried into adulthood as well. His dad nicknamed this glorious restaurant the “Fizzler” and the name has stuck..

With that being said, we live about 2 mile away from a Sizzler and for the longest time Eric has been begging me to go there. Now, I didn’t have the same found memories of this place and so whenever he’d ask to go there I thought he was kidding. Long story shot, he wasn’t kidding.

Tonight for Eric’s birthday dinner, (Happy Birthday cutie – Monday) he choose to go to the Fizzler. The food was just fine and Eric was able to enjoy his nostalgia for a few minutes before Mr. Gordon basically started a food fight at our table. And the only person he was fighting against was himself. At one point Gordon flung gobs of banana pudding in my hair and all over my sweatshirt. The family that was sitting right across from us burst out laughing and then Gordon proceeded to blow them all kisses. It was quite the eventful birthday dinner. 3 cheers for the Fizz! I wonder where we will go next year for his birthday?
