Recently Skylie's taken a tumbling class at the Y. She performed in recital a few weeks ago, and the crowds of people and unfamiliar setting may have been all too much for my three-year-old. She stood stoic and refused to show off her moves.
Finally, I bribed her with the promise of a dollar so she could pick out a treat. She reluctantly agreed, and the audience completely
erupted with cheers and applause as she completed a somersault.
(Skylie made certain I followed through on my promise, and
Wendy's drive thru for a Frosty was a must do on our way home.)
The somersault was not caught on video, unfortunately, but here's two clips of her at the recital. The last two clips show my gymnast practicing in class, where she seemed more in her element.
