Florida, here we come!

I'm pretty sure the next 10 posts are the main reason I stopped blogging. Blogging a huge trip like Disney World is so daunting to me! Especially when I took over 900 pictures! But here it is, in all it's detailed glory. I am excited to relive it actually because it was one of the best weeks our little family has ever had!

Whenever I looked down at Lucy's suitcase I couldn't help but giggle!
The girls got all her essentials. Minnie ears, princess crown, and  pirate sword...I think we are good to go!
Only at Disney, right! Ha!

A friend let us borrow her extra ipad for the trip! Boy did that make me want to run out and buy one! It really helped entertain Lucy a ton! She loved it! The first night we made it about an hour north of Savannah Georgia. We stayed in the nicest Econo Lodge I have ever seen where their free breakfast was free meal coupons to the local waffle house! Awesome! We love the waffle house! That was a fun treat! We went to Sacrament meeting near there and then hit the road once again! Lucy was an OK traveler. With our DVD player, the Ipad and a ton of snacks I thought we wouldn't hear a peep out of her. But really she was a little whiny and somewhere learned the phrase "Are we there yet?" That got a bit annoying. ha! But we survived!

Our last pit stop before Orlando was Jacksonville Florida to see some dental school friends that I have dearly missed! It was fun to get our kids together, to see their place and eat a yummy dinner!

Feeding the Turtles

One of my favorite Dental school gals!!! I love miss Sara! We didn't skip a beat and picked up right where we left off! I could have stayed there all week!

Seagulls swooping in! ;)

These two were so cute together! I wish we could live by each other!!

Really crazy story that is kind of hard to explain but BASICALLY after a while with Sara we realized that my "princess" I was going to stay with was the same "princess" that Sara's BFF always play's with! ha! We made the connection, texted our friends to laugh about it and guess what? They were together at that very moment just like us! We got a kick out of it! It's a small world after all! ;) he he

I wish we could have stayed longer with the Dunns! It was a fun pit stop and we were all geared up for our crazy Disney week!

Simple Life in January

Our January got crazy with a big, fun family vacation, a big birthday party and then a quick unexpected trip to Utah for me. So before we jump into all that, here was some of our normal January days.
Lucy's favorite thing to do right now is to "help" me fold the laundry! Honestly! It's nuts!
She get's mad if I do it while she is at Preschool or something! I like having that time to chat with her!

Preparing for our Disney trip by making thank you notes to hand out to employees and having a reminder on manners. Erik was very adamant that Disney would not turn our sweet girl into a spoiled brat! ha! This helped us focus on others!

We had some SUPER cold days!

I broke down and ordered this adorable Jake outift from etsy! Lucy LOVES it! I was so excited for her to meet Jake in it!

Playdoh Critters

blister from a hot glue gun! My worst one yet! ouch!

Preschool snack time! These girls were downing the green smoothies!

I love finding my bobby pins on my night stand arranged into letters!

Lucy's first stick figure. A self portrait I believe! Adorable!

A girl after my own heart! ;) We Love Target!

My friend and I got these Matching shirts for our girls earlier this month! So cute!
Lucy adores baby Juni!

Lucy's first real snow this winter! I thought I was being an awesome mom, we bundled up and set out to find the perfect hill. Once we got there, Lucy was traumatized by the bitter wind blowing in her face that she still has not learned how to breathe in! She holds her breath and panics! So I think I got her down the hill once and that was that!

Eh, hot coco is the best part of snow days anyway, right?

We are still loving this sweet puppy of ours and love all her cute little positions she finds to nap!

Watching her and Lucy is the best! They really are best buds!
My favorite thing about having a dog (and maybe the only thing at times) is how much she loves us. How much she loves to be with us and around us. I like that.

With her Sister Betty with their knit sweaters! ha!

After a bath she looks like a gross little rat! She runs and finds a warm sunny spot and tries to dry herself by rubbing her back along the bottom edge of my couch! ha!

Sisters! We left Ruby with her sister for the week we were at Disney!
They are adorable together!

Ringing in the New Year!

We had a great New Year's Eve this year! That evening we headed to the Smith's house to see some of our oldest and dearest friends. They are my favorites! I love catching up with those Smith girls and their awesome hubbies! Then for once we had an actual party to go too! It was so much fun playing games, chatting, pigging out and of course watching the ball drop and welcoming in the new year! It's always a hopeful and exciting moment! Yay for great friends!

Christmas Morning

This continues to be her favorite part of Christmas. She is blown away that Santa and Rudolph came and ate the treats we left them! ;)

Checking out her gifts!!!

Thanks to Lucy for the one shot of us that day!

Always a favorite!

Santa was pretty darn generous to miss Lucy this year. You'd think with all those gifts above she would have had her fair share. BUT, Santa had a late delivery....

That's right! Lucy's very own Yorkie Puppy.Meet Ruby!  Brand new, only 8 weeks old and not even ready to leave her Mom yet. She is the cutest thing we ever saw and we all fell in love instantly!

This is the first Christmas where we have been in our own home with no where to go!  It was so nice to have the whole day to play with Lucy's new toys and just relax as a family enjoying each other's company.

Nope, don't worry that's not Ruby. That's a stuffed cat she got from my Grandma that she fell in love with!

Making jewelry

Once Ruby arrived that day she was all anyone cared about! We were glued to her every move! Even when she was sleeping! I distinctively remember the feeling I had that Christmas morning. It was a simple morning, but I just felt so much joy and love. It felt so nice having this new life in our home that was just a sweet little baby. Ruby really filled a void in our home.  It felt complete with her there and all of us just sitting on the floor for hours watching and giggling as she played and crawled all over us! It was a really special Christmas for us, one we will never forget!
