This year, we decided to take our first family vacation that we planned and paid for before the baby comes. It was nothing grand but we sure had fun! We took Graham on his very first road trip and drove from Omaha, NE to Eric's brother, Nate's, house in Montrose, CO. We weren't sure how Graham would do on a road trip since he had never been on one but he was surprisingly very good and easy. We left around 7pm and drove through the night on the way there. Graham didn't sleep much and only got in 3 hour bursts before he would be awake again. Lets just say, he was extremely tired and ornery by the time we got there in the morning. While we were there, we relaxed with the family, ate lots of good food, and visited a few sites that you just can't pass up when you're in Montrose.
BLACK CANYON
28 weeks....
No bathrooms and a potty training toddler=dad teaching him how to go on the weeds. :)
He's such a silly little boy
He found a rock with "metal diamonds" in it and had to take it home for his prize. He was very proud of it. :)
BOX CANYON FALLS
Throwing rocks into the river by the waterfall with his cousins. Probably the highlight of his entire trip. He didn't want to leave when it was time to go.
He refused to stop throwing rocks long enough to get a picture with mommy.
On the drive home, we decided to go during the day and take the scenic route. We didn't know how Graham would do but he did amazingly. He played with his toys, watched lots of movies and when it was mom's turn to drive, him and daddy took LOTS of silly pictures.
We loved our trip and can't wait to take our next family vacation with one more tiny addition. :)
