Today we put our family zoo pass that Eric got through his work to good use. We didn't end up staying long and only saw a few of the exhibits, but we had a good time with Graham. He
LOVED the monkeys and couldn't stop saying
"Eeee-eee-eee!" the whole time we were watching them. It will be fun to go back as often as we want and see all of the animals!

After the monkeys, we went to the cat exhibit and saw the lions! Graham usually says
"Rawr!" we we ask him what the lion says but I think he was a little too fascinated by the actual animal to say anything.

After the lions, Graham started getting really fussy and was it was
WAY past nap time so we went to our last exhibit for the day, the Aquarium. We thought he would love seeing the fish but I think he was a little too tired. He enjoyed seeing the penguins swimming but after that, all he did was cry and tried pushing the stroller out of the exhibit. At one point, he threw himself on the floor and started throwing a hug fit. So, it was time to go home. We'll have to try the Aquarium again another time.

We got home from the zoo with a very tired but stubborn baby. We got him down for a nap but he woke up 45 minutes later, wide awake and ready to play. Man, this kid! We could have slept in the car and stayed at the zoo. Ah well! He had fun playing with daddy on his day off.

He is so tall and looks
SO OLD!!!
He has learned how to do a somersault. He doesn't get all the way over without help but he sure likes to try.
Eric got him to show off a lot of his new "tricks." They are best friends!
Overall, it was a fun day. Later that night, we went to Grandma Jacob's house to help hang a curtain rod and went to dinner with her. Graham fell asleep in the car on the way home and slept through me getting him in jammies and was fast asleep for bed (which
NEVER happens!) It was a good day!
Oh yeah, Nebraska got its first tornado and hail storm today. The wind got pretty strong around our house when we were leaving for grandma's. We were stopped at the red light and had to get a video of the traffic sign swaying in the wind so we would have proof for insurance if it fell. You'll see what I mean...
Time to get our 72 hour kit together. Who knows what will happen this year. Don't worry, it's
VERY UNLIKELY that a tornado would hit in our exact location of Omaha. However, we could get some crazy storms that can cause damage that way. Better safe than sorry.
