Last Minute Baby Shower

So, as many of you already know, Eric and I are moving to Omaha this coming weekend. Eric got a new job and we have to move quick! Because of this, my mom and aunt have decided to throw us a last minute Baby Shower/Good-bye party. Some people got invitations but because it was so quick, we might have (accidentally) forgot some people or didn't get them out in time. Everyone is invited though if you would like to come!

When: Thursday, September 3rd.
Where: Woods Cross 2nd Ward.
790 West 1500 South, Woods Cross,UT
Time: 7-8:30p.m.

It is just an open house so come and chat and say good-bye to us before we leave. Let me know if you would like to come so we can make sure there are enough treats!!!

We love you all and hope to see you there!

It's a boy!

Wow, it's been a while since we've updated this. A lot of things have happened to Eric and I since the last post and we have been super busy. I'll do my best to include it all.

First of all, as many of you know, Eric and I are expecting our first baby, a little boy, in November. It has been crazy being pregnant and isn't my favorite thing but I am so excited to do it to bring this little guy into our family. I was sick for the first 16 weeks and ended up losing 15 pounds. Now, 25 weeks along, I have just passed my pre-pregnancy weight by 5 pounds. The baby is healthy and seems to be very happy. He is very active and kicks a lot!!! Eric felt how hard he kicks the other day and was very excited that he can finally feel his son. The day we found out we were having a boy, we went to the store and picked out his first outfit. The second Eric saw this cute outfit, we had to buy it to bring him home from the hospital in. We are so excited and can't wait for him to get here!

After we finally got moved and settled in our new place, we spent the Easter holiday with Ana and Matt. We had an Easter Egg hunt with the kids and ate dinner. It was fun seeing the family and sharing the news that we were soon to be parents.

In May, Eric and I took two different trips. He and his brothers planned a road trip to watch different baseball games. They drove to Omaha and Chicago and hit all the pro games they could. Since I didn't want to sit home alone for a week, I planned a trip with my mom and sisters to go to Hawaii. We flew to Maui and spent the week swimming in the ocean, seeing the volcanos, and lots of shopping. We also went whale watching and had the best show ever. There was a mom and her calf, along with their male escort. The baby was learning how to jump and the mom was showing it how. It was awesome! I only wish Eric could have been there to see it. I can't wait till him and I can go to Maui together.

June was full of softball and working. Eric joined a softball team with his friends so I spent every Monday night watching. They weren't bad but happened to be in a higher division league so they didn't end up winning in the finals. I was glad I could see him have fun and get some exercise.

July has been stressful with work and school starting back up soon but we did find some time to relax. For the 4th, we went to my uncle's property and went camping with my family. Eric rode 4-wheelers with my cousins through the many mud puddles that were there as I relaxed with my grandma and played games with my sisters. We also got to relax at a new water park in Draper called Cowabunga Bay. We decided to go play with Brett and Annie for an afternoon. Eric and Brett loved being kids again and going down the slides. Even though the slides were out for me, I enjoyed sitting in the cool pool and having all the weight of my stomach lifted by the water. It's a pretty fun place and next year I'll be excited to try out the slides.

Now August has begun and we are just continuing to work and prepare for school. We have one last trip planned before the baby comes. We are just going to Omaha and seeing Eric's family that is out there and his friends. It will be a week to relax and not worry about the many things coming up. School starts on the 26th but only for Eric. I will be taking a semester off because there is 6 weeks left of school when the baby comes and I don't want a newborn and finals at the same time. Eric will be taking 15 or more credits this semester so I will just have to help him with his homework. I'm a little sad I can't go in the fall but I plan on going back in the spring. It's going to be a crazy semester but we can get through it.
