Weight:  17 lbs 2 oz
Length: 26.5 inches
Clothing Size: 6-9 Months
Sleep: You have become a gem! You take 3-4 naps a day, and when it is about time for your nap, I swaddle you and lay you in your crib and fall asleep! At night you will sleep about 7-8 hours! I have enjoyed all the extra sleep! But I dont know if I will ever catch up.
I Love...:  You crawl all the time, and love to crawl to the couch or the wall and pull yourself up. You also love smiling at everyone, but other little kids the most. You try and hug them and play with them. Your favorite friend is AnsLee. You also cant get enough of Dad, especially when he makes funny noises. It makes you giggle a lot and you also are becoming tickalish.
I Hate...: Still cant get you to eat solid foods. Even if I put the food in the pureed in your bottle and you still spit it out.
It was funny when...we love getting you to laugh. It makes our day. You are getting into EVERYTHING now. Your  favorite is cords, and paper. You have an innocent look on your face when we catch you doing something your not supposed to.
Also we went to a water park and you were so tired that you fell asleep on mommys shoulder, but even half asleep you kept splashing.
Firsts: YOU HAVE 2 TEETH! Your first one is about half way up right now, the other one is just breaking through your gums. You haven't been acting miserable or anything. I appreciate it. Went to Wisconsin Dells for a holiday. You LOVE the water! You could sit and splash for hours! We haven't done a lot this month since we are moving August 3. We did go on our first family golfing trip- Dad was golfing while we were the announcers.
Other facts: Like I said you LOVE little kids. When we were playing with our other friend Sarah, you both kept smiling and reaching for each other. She is younger then you, even though she is about your size. (You are only in the 8% for your weight.) You also love looking through books right now.
I just had to say goodbye to one of my closest friends here in Madison. She started out as my Visiting Teaching Companion but quickly became one of my dearest friend. She has been my life preserver and family out here. She was there for me when no one else was.  She would invite me over so I could get out of my apartment, bring me Diet Cokes in Styrofoam cups, and was my shoulder to cry on. Even if it was in the Olive Garden parking lot. I owe so much to her.

She is moving to Ohio this Friday, I am sure it is one of God's blessing that she is moving at the same time as I am. I dont know what I would do if she moved away and I was left here without her.

I have a huge appreciation to Visiting Teaching now. God will put you with a companion and sisters to teach that will become your friends and as needed you will lean on each other and grow together. I truly believe God knew I would need Alisa and he put her into my life. If it hadn't been for being companions we wouldn't have become friends, she had 2 kids at the time and I had none. We wouldn't have hung out at all, but since we would go visiting teaching we learned that we had so much in common and had a lot to talk about! Moral of the story: DO YOUR VISITING TEACHING. You may just meet a great friend.

Alisa I love you, and I dont want to say Goodbye. So instead its so long, until we meet in Utah (cause everyone meets in Utah) I will bring the Diet Cokes. :) I love you!
Saturday has been SUPER busy! We had so much fun jammed into 1 day. Eric was able to go golfing with some guys in the ward. His tee time was at 6:15am so he left our house at like 530. I am not interested in any activity that would require me to wake up that early. He had fun though, even had the best score in the group.

When he got home we headed to Eric's works company party. It's called the Epicinic. It is amazing! First off- they ask if you want Steak, and Lobster or just Steak! What other company serves Lobster for their 6000+ employees and the entire family?! They had bouncy towers, a tug a war, petting zoo and a misting tent. That was my favorite because it was HOT.

How amazing does that look?! This was Eric's meal- I dont like Lobster, so I got double Steak. I didn't eat the other part though because it was SO filling!

These 2 little kids have so much fun together! We went to the Epicnic with our friends Kory and Ana Lee. They literally live across the street from us. Ana Lee is 18 months and always is playing with Q and anytime he sees her he gets a huge smile and wants to go play with her. After the Epicinic we were all super hot so we decided to head to the pool!

This was Eric's first time joining us at the pool in Madison. Ana Lee and I had already gone earlier this week to play and the kids loved it! So we decided the dads needed to come too. Q loves to just sit and splash. It all he does. Since we had a busy morning he had got a 20 minute nap in the car, so he was running on empty. He still mustered enough energy to splash and play for awhile before he passed out in my arms. It was the cutest thing ever. He was so tired but he was fighting it so much. We would pretend to jump and splash and with his eyes half open he would smile and play. We couldn't stop laughing. We kept trying to get him to go to sleep but he kept wanting to play. Eventually we gave him his binky though and as soon as he had that he was gone.

I considered finding a spot for him to sleep outside the pool, but it was SO hot that I didn't want him to overheat. So I just held him while he slept in the pool. After we took these pictures we put his hat back on his head so he wasn't getting anymore sun. Although he could use it. Look how pale he is! Also, we didn't stay much longer since it was dinner time.

We headed to Kory and Ana Lee's for dinner and a Movie then called it a night.

Did I mention how much these kids love each other?! We sure are going to miss them when we move! We are hoping they end up in Seattle eventually.

Ooops we didn't get around to packing this weekend. We have all week though- am I worried? No. But next weekend I might not feel the same.
Q is starting to get his first tooth!! He cut the gum, and is slowly making its way up. Other then chomping on his fingers he doesn't seem to mind it.  He wasn't happy that i was putting my finger in his mouth.

This year for the 4th of July we went to The Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. It is a HUGE water park resort and the only way to go to the waterpark is to stay in their Hotel. So we went up on Wednesday after Eric got off work and played in the indoor part since he was overcast and late. Q had a BLAST! He was a little concerned but after realizing it was just an oversized tub he splashed until it was time for bed. On the 4th it was super nice and sunny outside so we played in the outdoor area with the wave pool and slides. It was so fun! We left around 3 so Q could get a nap in the car because he was refusing to take a nap at the park. There were too many people and toys to look at.

That night we went to Monona Lake to watch a Fireworks show. We tried to take pictures, but it was too dark. Q did great! He was a little scared in the begining- not from the loud sounds but from all the lights going off. But once we cuddled with him, he sat on our laps and watched the rest of the show without a peep. He seemed to love it!

The countdown is on till we move on August 3rd! Now to start purging our apartment and packing. CANT WAIT!!

I had to write this down before I forgot. One of my goals this year is to notice all the times the Holy Ghost has talked to me. Not just when he is yelling at me, like he did when I went to the Temple for the first time (For more details you will need to ask me) but for the times that he brings a thought to my mind that make a difference.

So today like most days with my sick baby, was Crazy! I had slept in because he kept me up for most of the night, so while he was asleep I wanted to sleep. So I turned off my phone so no one could call, text or email me. When I did wake up I started working, and then Eric called and reminded me about a Car appointment I had. Ugh. At that point I was 2 hours late, so I called and asked if I still could come in or if they needed me to reschedule. They were super sweet and told me I could still bring in the car. So I frantically got ready, cause I work in my PJS, and headed about 20 minutes away with the baby to drop off my car.

Perk of the day- I did get my dream car rental- an Acura MDX. I drool over this car anytime I see one. And if my car needs to go in I always ask for the MDX to be my rental. :) LOVE it!

Jump to the end of the day, they had just called and said my car was ready to pick up. I had been praying that nothing was wrong with my car, that nothing needed to be replaced because I knew it would be a lot of money, and my prayers were answered, because after my 150,000 check NOTHING was wrong!! Huge sigh of relief. So I am heading out to pick up the car and pick up Eric from work. I grab a bottle since while we are out Q will be ready to eat. I know that the formula container has just enough for 1 more feeding, which is all I needed. BUT as soon as I put the bottle of water in my purse I instantly had a thought- what if it spills, he wont have anymore formula. So I filled the container all the way up.

After we dropped off the car, we were both hungry and so was Q, so instead of driving home we decided to go to Culvers. (Its like McDonalds but better) I had just sat down in the booth with Q and was getting the bottle out, I poured the formula into the bottle and what would happen? Q grabbed the bottle and spilt it EVERYWHERE. I was drenched, and there was nothing left in the bottle. A super nice lady next to me  ran to my aid, since Eric was ordering, and I had water all down my front and was trying to clean up the water mess and take care of Q at the same time.

Once Eric got back I was able to fill the bottle up with new water again, and because the Holy Ghost told me to fill up the rest of the container with formula Q was able to have his dinner too.

I am so glad that I listened and that God cares about a sick little baby, and something as simple as extra formula.

The Church is True.
