Christmas Day

We had a big Christmas this year!! The kids were up just after 6:30am and excited to see if Santa came. Ella woke up first, and then we woke Carter up. He came down pretty sleepy, but didn't complain :) Cole was still asleep, so we let him stay that way for a little while.

At first glance, it didn't look like Santa came because there wasn't anything in the living room except a note..... so Carter read it to us. It said he left gifts under the big tree in the office, and that there was one thing outside for them.
Here is a video of the kids finding all Santa's goodies. So special!
It was cold and dark, so the excitement of the trampoline only lasted a few minutes, then it was back inside to check out the rest! Cole was up by this time, so we brought him down to see what Santa brought him.

Lots of good stuff!!

Didn't take long for Cole to discover the few cookie left overs within his reach on the fire place.... HA!
Mmmmmm.

Oh, I'll eat this left over carrot, too!
She couldn't be more excited to have to change this baby's diaper

Fun with a remote controlled R2D2

Playing with his Magformers

Poor Cole was (and still is) freaked out by R2D2

Dressed as Queen Elsa and looking at things through her new binoculars

Poor baby! Go away, R2D2.....
But feeling safe with Mommy

Fun for everyone! (Check out Cole giving R2D2 the side-eye)
Brrrr. Cold but so fun!

Back inside to check out stockings

Cole loved the spoon straws they each got

Ella digging all the way to the bottom of her stocking.... gotta get it all!
The kids got little weights in their stocking. Maybe that will keep them off my 10 pounders!
Working out....

Hungry boy ready for some breakfast
New Star Wars socks
Cole LOVES the trampoline as much as the big kids do!

Just look at that big smile!

Back inside to open gifts from Mommy & Daddy. Cole really just wanted the gift bows again
We've held out on electronics a good ling time, and they were so excited to finally have a "tablet" of their own

Listen to Ella's displeasure at receiving new books. Hmmm.

Santa brought Cole this talking and moving Minion, and he was pretty unsure of it. He's ok with it now, but was definitely not for a few days. So funny!

 Sweet baby!
He got some fun new tractors and lots of good stacking toys (one of his favorite things to do)

Getting started on their Leap Pads

Lots of stacking fun!

Building a frame for a blanket fort

Warmed up to the 70s, and the kids got to enjoy the trampoline in shorts and t-shirts all day long! What awesome weather we had!!

Even Mommy got out there. Noticed them in their undies. They actually got hot and stripped off their Pjs before changing into shorts. HA!
Tired after a busy and fun morning. Taking a break and using my new selfie stick that I got in my stocking

This is how we felt by 11am. Exhausted!
My parents and Andrew came over to exchange gifts with us in the afternoon. We enjoyed opening presents on the patio while the kids jumped on the trampoline! So lovely!
Hard to see, but Ella got her first sting on Christmas Day. She was actually inside when it happened. I guess all the in and out and leaving the door open all day, a yellow jacket made it's way inside, and stung her on the left thigh. Poor girl.
Cole enjoying more jumping!

After dinner we played the Bean-boozled jelly bean game. Oh my word, it was so disgusting! But it was hilarious. If you have 10-15 mins to spare, watch these funny videos of us playing. Even Cole got into it at the end. I saved the best video for last!!
Truly one of the funniest things I've ever seen...
That face!

What a wonderful Christmas we had!! Probably our best yet. Everything from the weather, to the gifts, to the joy and excitement, the food, and just the time spent with family. Couldn't have been any better. :)
Now onto 2016!!
