We started off with a little Christmas at our new place. We always get a real tree- even though Eric tries to convince me every time to get a fake one. No luck. Here is a before:
And then an after (after we learned what kids can do...):
They then met Santa for the first time at our Ward Christmas Party:
Roy couldn't care less, but Bruce screamed the whole time.
We then flew to Utah to have Christmas with the Christensens. The best part is getting to the airport for an 8:30pm flight and them telling you it is delayed 4 hours. It was a looooong night. The boys of course didn't want to sleep. We had to take turns walking them around the airport. We really got to know the Seattle airport and every terminal. But hey we got there at 4 am in the beautiful morning.
While living in Utah we vowed to never live/get stuck there permanently. But going back really made us miss it. We had so many great memories there: boys were born there, I taught there, Eric grew up there, our first apartment was there, we went to school there, we met there...It was fun to go back but it's sad to think the next time we go back won't be for a long time. We're budgeting. Christmas was great- the boys LOVED their new gear. New toys complete with matching BYU shirts:
Roy got sick while we were there (no surprise) and would fall asleep in your arms like when he was a newborn. We soaked it up while it lasted.
Then when we flew home from Utah we got into Seattle at 11pm and started driving home. We were planning on going to my parents in Portland in 2 days. The boys were asleep and everything was packed and we saw signs to Portland and we thought why not. BAD IDEA. It's only 3 hours but we were sooo tired. We pulled over twice to take quick naps. But it was fun to surprise my fam.
I don't know why I have no pictures of anything we did there except of Stark Street Pizza.
Good ol' Gramps:
The O'neals showed up:
It was a great Christmas as always.
While we were there, Eric and Brandon made an antenna. We are too cheap to pay for any tv and so we get only abc. Well someone informed Eric that you can make your own antenna to get more channels. He was all over it. Can you get any nerdier?
We now get 20+ clear channels. Take that comcast.
