Couple of things which I'm giving myself a pat on the back for now... Hahaha...
1) Resisted temptation to buy the expensive earpiece.
Lying on bed n trying to sleep. Still thinking about the earpiece which I'm tempted to get. But I managed to walk away once more today. Haha... Cheapo me!!!! Not only that... I sort of 'repaired' my precious earpiece and I'm able to use it till it officially died off ba... I can still listen fo the music but other functions can't work. Haha. Yup, I'm telling myself not to wańste the money to buy it. Saved up that money for sth else !!! Come to think abt it... It's so funny and weird that I wanna buy this now when initially I refused to accept it when Ray got it for me. Irony..... Haha...
2) Did not drink.
Ok, I always go for beer during cny. Accompany daddy to drink. But this year my house there is an unspoken no alcohol rule. Haha... It does feel abit weird to go without any form of alcohol this year. Not even when I'm with my friends. Haha. No acohol and a healthy lifestyle and diet is the way to a healthier me!! Yup... Can't damage my health further right? Agrees with the doctor that I'm still very young but my health is really bad. There's many more years to go so need to take care of myself.
3) taking up the 52 weeks saving challenge
Chris told me about this last year but I simply slash ignore. Lol... How to save up I asked..... This year I took this challenge and going to complete it. That $1,387/- (if I din remember wrongly) I'm adding to my Europe tour or some overseas trip budget. Not a lot I know... But I'm saving up for it slowly!!! Bro is graduating in another around 2 yrs (give and take the time he graduates and got a job) and I wish to go for a well deserved trip. Hmm... Not that I can save up enough to go once bro graduated but I'm taking little steps.. Beats doing nothing and waiting for money to drop right? And I'm really looking forward to be lighten of the financial load at home... Tired n stressed up.
4) keeping the habit of reading on my kindle
I still like flipping pages and smelling the smell of new books. But kindle is not that bad too! Allows me to read on the go and the Ebooks are cheaper too... I purchased those which I can't get it free online since it's usually cheaper than those sold on the shelves in bookstores. Ebooks is the way to save money and space.
5) Lessing my OT
Well, that means lesser income and having more work piling up. But I'm more focused on really the urgent cases and less sianz at work. Meeting friends, dating or going home to rest earlier and catch abit of tv show or even watch drama or variety shows, play with ipad or even organizing too. More life! Haha.
6) keeping a disciplined lifestyle and trying to improve health by keeping a healthy lifestyle (financially, mentally and physically)
This is repeated but I just want to acknowledge that I'm doing a good job of keeping records of my expenses so that I know where my money is going every month, keeping to the rule of 1 coffee a day (at most 2), resting and lights out before 12am (trying), no or minimal alcohol intake, less junk food, going for my doc appt, eating my medicines on time, arranging more me time blah blah blah.....
