what would you do if you were told only 35% of your heart is functioning? what would you do if you were told your end is near? as i saw her lying on the bed and tearing in fear, i wondered what was going through her mind. if it were me, i would be thinking, "Is this the last time I am going to taste this food?", "Is this the last time I am going to hear my grandchildren's laughter?", "Will I be able to wake up if I fall asleep? Or will I just sleep forever?". I can understand the fear, and adding on to that the bodily pains disabling the body from even the simplest actions. Feeling yourself grow weaker and weaker each day must be quite a scary experience. I cannot imagine what she is going through now, but I can only hope that she will be strong and live her last stretch as happily as she can.
