Looking For A Summer Jacket
I've been browsing online sites for a reasonably priced summer jacket. Came across one with "tent green" as the colour description.
How appealing.....
Spent the Sunday lounging around in the living room. It felt slightly unproductive, but then I think you just need days like this sometimes, especially if you've been in constant work mode. I admit, it's been a while since I DIDN'T think about work on the weekends. When did I become this monster?! Looking back, I was so unbelievably chilled this time last year. In fact, I was probably surfing the net, shopping for my Glastonbury gear. I was also still buzzing from my NYC trip. Hopefully things will change from mid June once appraisal season is done and dusted. Can't wait.

Bank Holiday Weekend
Took the lil bro out for lunch at The Modern Pantry. Been meaning to try this place, and finally managed to force someone to go with me. That being said, I didn't actually order the one thing on the menu that I've been meaning to try (Prawn omelette with Malaysian sambal). Instead, I got scrambled eggs, spinach and grilled halloumi cheese. Random.
After lunch, we headed towards Oxford Street for some retail therapy. Believe it or not, I was there for moral support. It was him who was itching to spend some money. We walked by this "Grimshaw" building and SV has the blondest moment ever....
"Oh... Nick Grimshaw works here. Oh wait. He works for BBC.... And there wouldn't be a building named after him".
I was utterly exhausted after following him around sports and suit shops. But a day well spent with family.
Other highlights from my weekend..... Dinner at Chichetti's (bad service!) and my virgin experience at The Lounge for Bad Neighbours. That was fun. Felt like an excited kid in a theme park. A very blur picture of the sharing platter we had!

Who is the boss?
Earlier today, I was watching Made in Chelsea on demand whilst the lil bro was streaming the Chelsea match on his laptop.
"Oooh.. penalty against Chelsea!" he exclaimed suddenly.
I looked up, half interested, and peered over his shoulder to check out the foul. Meh.
Got up to wash my hands, then had to use the toilet. Didn't want to miss out on Made in Chelsea, so I shouted for him to pause it.
He muttered something under his breath, got up from his seat and did it anyway.
Then from the toilet I heard him screaming "D'oh! You made me miss the penalty!!
Yes. I am the boss.
Some time later, Marc Francis appears on screen, ballroom dancing with Rosie.
"Do you think he's gay or straight?" I ask
He replies... "Asexual"
Love his one liners.

I can almost taste it.
Finally, I feel as if Summer is in the air. Two more months. More girly talks in the sun hopefully. God the wine I had last Friday was good.... Marc Bredif, Vouvray, Classic, 2010. Described as "aromas of apple peals, lemon, pears, honeysuckle and light floral notes". SOLD
I need to source this baby out.
In dire need of a holiday. A proper one.... none of the partying-till-6am nonsense. I just want to lie down somewhere, sunshine in my face, music in my ears. I need a holiday. Arg.... can't believe this time last year, I had already been to NYC and back. bringmebacktonewyorkpleaseeeee....

Eat, Drink & be Merry
A bit of a pointless post to be honest. First entries are always awkward. In all respects.
My new year resolution to blog more has finally materialised... on 27th April. Not too shabby considering busy season took up 3 months of my life. Yes, I am still in audit. JOY. Yes I'm being serious. About me being in audit that is, not so much the joy part.
So.. look forward to more random shpeels from my mind.
