Today was quite hellish for us,well for everyone whose at JP,because...the air-conditioner all not working.Don't know whether did it break down or the JP management switch the air cons off for fire drill practice.I wonder how the chefs can endure the heat inside the kitchen -.-

22nd - Monday
Went out with Fiona and went all the way to Payar Lebar for Converse Warehouse Sale.Bought a pair of shoes from there at $29.90,u.p. I think is $59.90 so I thought its not bad since Converse is very expensive.

After that we went to Bugis to buy tickets for Marina Countdown from Sistic.Woa we were buying 6 tickets and the person calculated it as $168!! Fiona and I were like "how come so expensive?" then we used our handphone calculator and calculate..its $114!!! Like o-m-g another difference of $54! We actually paid $170 and then thinking of leaving after getting the tickets.WHEW!
Saw Samuel at Bugis and we chatted with him for around 15 minutes.He looked quite stressed up and gloomy :o don't know whether because of the bustling JC life...

Walked around West Mall shortly and decided to go home.While we were walking towards the bus stop,we saw a lot of residents watching movie.Its like outdoor theaters,cool man!They were screening Hell Boy 2.We went to check out what's the whole thing about.Its some event hosted by the town council,they are screening free movies since last week till tomorrow (Wednesday ;24th Dec).Maybe they should plan more of this event for residents to participate :D like at the same time friends and family can spend time together meaningfully.

Did not know I have to work today until Cindy called me -.-


23rd - Tuesday

Took bus to JP for work as usual.On the bus,saw this advertisement of a movie that's coming out on the 1st of January,Ponyo On The Cliff By The Sea.

Work was quite ok today,afternoon can slack a bit.Saw Esther,Xue Ling,Wilson,Hamzah,Dan and Alvin.Hehe I was surprised to see them.Gosh I did not wish Dan a Happy Birthday when I saw him...haiz.
But still,Happy Belated Birthday to Dan!

6th day at work...Busy right from the start till the end.Really could not stand some effing customers.Shall not mention about that.All waiters/waitresses will understand the same agony :o

Saw Eric today,he called out to me while I was clearing a table,lol.Heard from Cindy that YingYing walked passed and waved but I did not see her :o

Hmm New Year is coming soon.Shall use the hard-earned money to buy myself something :D

Hmm gonna update about today,but no I did not see any mediacorp artists.
5th day at work seems to be very fine.And I'm really glad that some customers understand that it may take some time for their food to be served.Unlike few days back,whereby customers simply sort of threatening "oi I left some dishes if you are still not serving we are leaving" and after that we went to hurry the kitchen to cook faster,then when we finally brought the dishes to the table,the customers said "sorry we waited too long we don't want it anymore" and then they left.
LIKE WTF they think doing this is fun? Ok la customers got the rights to complain that our service is not that ideal,but walao when they do this just when we got the food served its really too over lor.

Haha I'm not complaining,but then now I can understand the pains and headaches waiters have to go through.So next time when I go dine at some eatery,I will be even more considerate,like splitting bones onto the sorbet but not on the table,less trouble for them to clean up.

Hmm,saw Keefe and Fiona today.They were supposed to come visit me by dining at my working place,but then they find it expensive so yea they went for job interview just beside my working place.If they really gonna work there,we can like chat during our not-so-busy-time along the division =x
Oh yea and some friends saw me working today like Iqbal and WanQin.
Didn't know WanQin is working at Swensen's! Haha we can wave to each other since our working place not that far,and I can see to their side unless some big heads are blocking my view.

Gonna work tomorrow.Working weekend seems to be a phobia for me.So many people keep coming in till we can really go crazy,especially when they request for this and that or even make changes to their orders -.- everyone is soooo busy and they can easily lose their temper.Ahha ok that's unavoidable...will try my best for tomorrow.

3rd day of work...
Since its weekday today,there were not that many people dining at my working place during lunch hours,which means I can slack for quite some while :D but from 5pm onwards,more and more people start to come in.Today still can mange,because there were many people working today.

Saw this mediacorp celebrity today during lunch hours.Served food to his table for a few times.
Think his quite tall and he looked the same as on TV,not much difference.

As dinner time was really full of people,I have to serve food very quickly.There was this hot soup and I accidentally dipped my thumb onto it when I was taking it out from the tray and putting it onto the table...I endured the hotness and as a result,my thumb got a blister.That bloody burning feeling was so freaky,it lasted for quite long.At 10pm knocked off from work and my brother was nearby,so he drove me home -.-


Anyway,yesterday night I stopped Code Geass at season 2 episode 1.Don't really know what's happening in that episode.Read every comments,others too had no idea what's happening.Then there were also other comments stating that if we continue watching to further episodes we will understand what it means.So I think I can only continue Code Geass on Saturday night -.- sighhhh

Gotta sleep now,need to recharge myself for tomorrow's work.Bye!

Watching Code Geass season 1 now.So damm exciting man!Zero is like Kira in Death Note,both fighting for Justice,and with super good plot.Started Code Geass yesterday and currently now at episode 17.

Anyway,I shall make a list of animes I have watched before.

Naruto - My First anime and still my best ever.Currently going after manga but not the anime episodes.

Nanoha - likes the characters and their fighting style.Have not started the 2nd season -.-

Fruit Basket - watched some episodes on TV,then later borrowed all the VCDs from a friend during primary school days.Its interesting to know who are the zodiacs. lol

Tsubasa Chronicles Reservoir - Watched until don't know what episode and stopped.Its all about collecting the feathers...

Vampire Knight - all the good looking characters are here.Stopped watching it around June and lost track of the episode that I have stopped watching.

Death Note - Watched the movie,but went on to read a bit of manga to see who M and N are.Awesome fight between both geniuses.

Princess Yucie - LOL I think only Angie and I know this anime -.- my brother got this anime free at NP I think and then he does not even bother to watch it,so I tried watching it and introduce to Angie,then after that Angie went to buy the 2nd half of the anime (mine was first half).An anime about friendship and all...the ending was touching.

Rozen Maiden - Like the storyline about the dolls and their special abilities.Stopped at season 2 due to examinations and currently no more videos of this anime in veoh and youtube.SAD!

Haha I'm not an anime fanatic since I only watch them when I have nothing to do.Shall try out other animes when I have the time this holiday.

EXTREMELY TIRED NOW but I have made an effort in typing all these.

1st day of work was quite ok for me,except that my legs were really going to break any moment.
Worked straight 12 hours and had a lunch time of less than 20 minutes and resumed work again,and that's most probably the time for me to sit as well.Haha but I'm not the only one who was complaining,everyone did! =x
Wore PINK on the first day and its with vertical white stripes T___T like omg!!
But luckily I asked my manager that I want the black one and I did change into it for my 2nd day.No more PINK yea!

The restaurant was busiest during noon time,especially Saturday (although I do not know why Sunday seems not to as compared to Saturday).
Anyway,saw this guy dining at my work place,and my colleagues told me that they saw him the second time on the same day.1st was during breakfast and 2nd was during lunch.Didn't see him during breakfast but saw him during lunch.Heard from my brother that his own restaurant is very huge,its quite near his camp.

Yea he is one of the chefs in channel U shows.He looked quite different from what's seen on TV.

Now back to my working experience.
It was terrible when customers said they wanted to change some dishes,yes they have their rights to do so but then yea its like really inconvenience.Haha now I can feel how the people working in an eatery feel when customers start demanding this and that.
And due to the super busy whistling period...many customers started to grumble and complaining about the eatery's service,that is,after 30 minutes,the food are still not served to some customers yet.Some leave,some continued to wait but put on with some pissed off look.

Didn't expect to see Jian Xin visiting us on Saturday night.He was alone and eating beef noodles lol and he commented that it was really nice.Ahhh!! How thoughtful of him to visit us seh! Haha!
Then he waited for us to finish work and we went home.
After alighting from bus,I almost started limping home.


Felt very reluctant to wake up today.Supposed to wake up at 9am..dragged till 9.10am,9.15am,...9.30am.Ok no time to lose and I went to prepare to work again.

Its nice working with friendly people and I talk to them like I have known them for quite some time.Very familiarize with my working place already,like where to get what stuffs.My manager is also very friendly...if I have any questions I want to ask her,she will reply even when she is busy.

Did usual thing today like serving food and drinks,clearing up of tables and collecting bills.
Still have 2 more aspects I need to learn...

1) Taking orders - I saw how some of them take down orders.They all use weird abbreviations which I seriously do not understand,I'm kind of having phobia when customers say when they want to take orders but I have to look for another experienced one to take care of them.
When customers asked me whether this or that set comes with this or that thing,I really do not know how to reply and I just said "sorry I will get someone here to explain to you" -_____-
lol what else can I say?
Haha anyway its not me who do not know how to take orders,all the new-comers also do not know how.

2) Doing Setting of cutlery - Its quite easy but I currently do not have a clue of how to read a receipt and what cutlery is needed to be placed in the cutlery holder.Does not really matters anyway ha since this is kind of -once-I-teach-you-you-know-how-already that thing.

Time really flies when we are busy.Quickly packed my things and headed home..arrr finally can rest!

I think the best moment of being a waiter is when you serve food onto customers' table and they thanked you.Normally I would say "welcome" or just give a smile back.Seriously,it can brighten up the tired waiter's mood.

Weee okay hope to see some of you there when I'm working.

Woke up at 8 plus today,the earliest time ever since after prom night.Cindy came to my house and we were browsing through classifieds and dialled quite many companies.Called one of my favourite buffet restaurants.Was surprised that they have vacancies this time and the person over the phone asked me to go down for job interview.

Reached there,told the counter that I came for job interview.Then one old ah pek who I think is one of the managers told me they are not looking for any more part-time waiters.I was like WTF THEN WHY STILL ASK ME COME DOWN.
I gently told him that someone said we could come down for interview.After that I saw the ah pek face a bit orlulu.Can sense that he does not want us to work there.
He then tried to appease us by giving us the application forms.SO LONG-WINDED!Need to fill in 4 pages!
There was one part where it states "Expected Pay" so I put there $6/h.Went on to proceed to the job interview with the application form.He looked through and then started asking me questions.It was ok though.Until he said about the pay "actually working here is $4.50/h".Upon hearing that I was like so surprised.He asked me whether the pay is ok and I said it is too low.I said minimum $5/h then he agreed.Wa like what!? See us teenagers can alter the pay to so low!? But anyway I also do not think that the pay is that low for such restaurant.Once again,I think is because they see us teenagers (inferior to them) and hence they anyhow tell us the pay >:o
What's more is that we still must wait for their damm phone call.See that ah pek face already don't feel like working there.Haha then Cindy and I intended to tell them that we are not interested in the job anymore if they call us.


Think I may not be working in the hotel anymore.Felt like I had let down one of my captains,Eddie.He is very patient with us newcomers and he taught us things without giving any stern looks.He is outgoing and humorous too,no wonder so many people like him as their captain.Haiz no choice but I will have to give up that job.There will be no more worries of missing the last bus,love travelling time and reaching home so late and waking up early in the next morning.Sad sad sad,cannot see the friendly people there already.

Went to JP and have a walk in the extensions.Meanwhile,I walked past the other job that I'm holding on to,which I will be starting tomorrow.Saw other waiters there,they are all wearing PINK.
LIKE OMG -.- I was sooooooo sad and depress.Continued to walk around then suddenly had a phone call from the manager,asking us to go to the restaurant for some briefing.Coincidentally,we were there.
Went in to the restaurant and we were told by the gentle manager that we would be able to work on some weekdays.Initially we were told that we will be working only on the weekend.WOOOOO like finally can work on weekdays,no more job hunting.
Haha yea,the manager is very friendly too.Hope what she is putting on isn't just because of the first impression.Ok shouldn't doubt someone's character =x

Got a fever few days back and was recuperating at home.Slept for damm long,like 14 hours.

Ugh was working for the past few consecutive days.Felt exhausted but a good day rest shall compensate.Aikes,every now and then must chase for last bus,or either,fear that I might miss my last bus -.- if this goes on I'm gonna suffer from nervous breakdown.

Calculated the amount I will receive from my work so far.Approximately $220? lol I have no idea how are they going to calculate.Guess I gonna go job-hopping already.I really do not like to waste time on transportation :o like I have mentioned before,I dread long hours traveling,but there are some exceptions like flying for damm long to another country.

The weather was very cold today.Only today then I have this Christmas atmosphere due to the weather.
Ha anyway,went to Singtel store today and I was browsing phones that were on display.2 phones caught my attention - Samsung Omnia and Samsung i8510 INNOV8.
And like wth the phones that I like are always expensive.Supposed to change a new phone today but I thought I should at least go to hardware forum and read more about these phones.From there I read about many people having some problems with these phones,like laggy issue..
Arrr but the designs of the phones are really cool.Never mind,I shall keep a lookout for special promotion around Christmas - New Year period.

Recently,my computer has been having don't know what generic host process win32 error.
The internet connection gets cut off 10 minutes after this message appeared,windows taskbar looks weird after that.Tried to re-connect,failed.The only solution is to restart the computer,so bloody annoying >:(

Hmm I was reading many forums on stories of the Red House.

Red house is just like any ordinary house,but it does not appeared red.If one day,you were about to explore the place,if the house appeared to be red,die die run for your life!
There are 2 stone lion statues,"Qi Ling".They are the guardians of the house.It is said when you want to go in to the Red House,you must give some offerings like joss sticks and a put a lighted cigarette into the male lion's mouth.
It is said that the positions of the stone lions are different at different periods.
When they are facing each other,its an indication that you should not go in.And the party must not be an odd number.

There are some other rumours,like a massacre occurred in the house,a lady hanged herself on the giant tree beside the house...

1) The house is really too old,who knows when you are inside,the whole house collapse on you.
2) Its rumoured that the ghosts inside are waiting for replacements for their reincarnation.

1st day of work was really simple,but then I seriously did a bad job.Possessed no experience as a waiter before,and yet working at a 5-star hotel.More like I'm ruining their reputation to a 2-star hotel. *sigh

Since I have no experience,my captain asked me to serve drinks for 3 rows of tables,that's like more than 12 tables.
Guess what? All the time,I only served 3 tables!!! Okay,luckily other waiters/waitresses serve them drinks as well =x or not I will be in deep shit.

And luckily,my captains are friendly and funny people.But when it comes to "make one mistake and I will deduct $25 from your earning today",everyone diam diam...

Okay,today 2nd day.
Had no experience in taking out dishes from kitchen to the ballroom.But I tried it today,and it was quite ok.
Ugh yea and I did the most embarrassing thing.
After that I was nervous,embarrassed,scared at the same time.Then after that I was very impatient and rude towards Fiona,who was my partner for the event.
So...A BIG SORRY TO FIONA!
I finally tried cutting the bloody fish and it was quite good for second try.My first try was damm sucky.My captain stand beside me and looked at how I cut the fish and he was "..." so he took over and asked me to watch how he cut the fishie.
Then after that he told me to try again and it was quite ok ^^ yay I know how to cut fish LOL!
Simple job to most of you but I was very nervous when I was cutting it.

Made some new friends there.We were like asking one another common thing like "how old are you","how long have you been working here" and "where do you live" sorts.Then slowly we chatted to other things else.

I shall take note of all the mistakes I made today and will try my best not to commit the same mistake again next time :D
