Our giant zucchini

Hey - I'm trying to get back to the blogging thing. It might take a while. Here is one we took of a zucchini that we grew in our garden this year. We passed it around the neighborhood and called it the friendship zucchini because it kept giving and giving. The thing was huge!

The Boise Zoo

We went to the Zoo for the first time and the kids had a really good time.

Ready to go to work

Ella found Jeffrey's hat and gloves and started to have fun, and Jamison noticed and he decided he wanted in on it too.

Jamison turns 4!

I can't believe Jamison is already four. Time flys - we had a little bit of snicker cake and some vanilla ice cream with just us. He turned four on the 1st of June

New baby Austin

The day after Orrin got home from the mission my little sister Wendy had a baby boy. It was a busy couple of days.

Elder Stimpson home from Texas

Here are some of the airport pictures of when my younger brother came home from a mission in Texas. He has almost been home a month. I need to blog more.

Our fun with makeup

Ella loves to pretend that crayons are her makeups. I usually don't worry about it because it usually doesn't make a mess. Well this time she found a washable one. What a blushing green beauty.

Someone got bored on a Sunday

We were sitting around on a Sunday evening and Jamison comes walking out with the pillow on his head. We couldn't help but laugh and take pictures.

Our new house

For those of you who haven't been able to come - we bought a new house in January and have spent the last little while fixing it up with flowers and things. We are so excited to have a garden and stuff this summer too. I love adding stuff and making it more a home. It is so much fun.

Jamison's bed

I found a bed frame at a garage sale for $5 and couldn't pass it up. So we gave it a little paint and here it is. I was really impressed with my bargain shopping and Jamison was glad he got to help paint it.

We love strawberries

Ok so it has been a while since I have last blogged - and I could not figure out how to delete the additional picture. I guess that means you just get to look at it twice. They love their strawberries or should I say they love their cool whip.

My first real hair cut...

Ya so I got brave one day and cut Jamison's hair. Jeffrey never had time, so I told him I was going to do it. I kind of had a clue, but I was pleased with the results. Jeffrey thought the sides were a little short, but I was just impressed that I did it.

It has become popsicle season and we were excited at our house. The kids really are enjoying it finally getting warm.

Changes with the meals

Marshall and Beth you guys now have Saturday morning breakfast and we'll take Friday lunch. I hope that works out better.

Some more news...

Well our frog died so we don't need a name. I had Jeffrey save it in a bag to see if we could get a refund or something. He didn't stick around long enough. But Nemo is still alive and kicking. For those of you who don't know - we are expecting in November. We waited until we heard the heart beat before we came out with the news. It was quite the surprise because we thought for sure we were done. I even went so far as to give all my baby stuff away - oops! Goes to show some things in life just are not planned. So we are going to be parents again. I don't know if it has quite sunk in. We had it in our minds that we were only going to have two kids, so doing the baby thing again was the last thing we had on our minds. But now that I'm nauseous it seems like the only thing I can think of. I went to the doctor on Friday and he said the heart beat sounded good and strong, so we were happy about that. Anyways just that is our latest and greatest.

Our busy day yesterday

Yesterday we got two new members of our family - a goldfish and a frog. Jamison named the goldfish Nemo and the frog has yet to be named so if any of you want to suggest a name we will take a poll. So that was exciting for the kids. Last night we decided to go test drive minivans - yeah. I was not wanting to drive a minivan, but I finally gave in considering how much room they have. We test drove the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna. They both were pretty good vans, but the Honda seemed to have more space. We are looking for something to take on family vacations and for a second car. I have my mind made up, but I don't know if Jeffrey is so sure. Then when we got back, I wasn't feeling very good. So I asked Jeffrey if he would make me some popcorn. I usually do it over the stove, so I explained to him how to do it. So he put some oil in the pan - put a lid on it and turn it on. Then he left to go put the kids to bed. When he got back there was this big cloud of smoke under the lid and so he took it off and flames came flying up. I looked up and was like wow flame broiled popcorn - so after we got the fire alarms to turn off and had both doors open. He attempted to make some more - well it got burnt. He decided he was not making popcorn for me again. I ate it because he had gone through so much trouble and I felt bad. He just did not have the luck last night.

Coloring Easter eggs got a little messy

We tried to explain to Ella to set the eggs in softly, so they wouldn't splash the color and make a mess. I don't think we were very effective. But it was fun - Jamison ended up have blue speckles on his face for a couple of days.

The family reunion

For all you guys who are coming to the family reunion - I reserved two campsites at the Lake Cascade State Park. They are in the West Mountain campground sites 153 and 136. They each hold 16 people or four tents. We have about 29 people counting Wendy and Alex if they end up coming. But everyone else is good to go. We can check in Thursday the 3rd after 2:00 PM and we need to be out by 1:00 PM the 6th. The reservations include two cars at each site. Each additional car will cost $4.00 per night. So far the reservations cost $161.12, and we will divide that out as we get closer and we know how many more cars are going to be there and such. The meals will be divided by family as we have before. If you have a preference for a meal let me know. Otherwise I will just assign those out as we get closer to leaving. Any questions you can leave comments on our blog. I was going to look into where we could go to see fireworks. McCall is only about 30 minutes away. The place we are going is about 75 miles from Boise. Anyways that's all for now.
