Preschool starts in two weeks, which means Kindergarten in ONE year!

I don't know why I am so sad about Tatum going to Preschool this year. Last year I was excited for her. I knew she would have SO much fun, but for some reason knowing that this is her last year of Preschool and she is headed to Kindergarten next year makes me SO SAD. I know I have ONE year before she starts Kindergarten, but I feel like it is just around the corner. Kindergarten here is everyday, ALL DAY LONG! I have heard that its good to have it all day and everyday, but I am not used to the idea at all. They start at 7:45 and go until 3:00. Doesn't that seem so long? If you have had kids in all day Kindergarten, let me know if your kids survived and if they did O.K. being away from home for that long.

Summer FUN...

I can't believe summer is already almost over! It has been a BUSY BUSY couple of months, from moving to a new place, making new friends, buying a home, etc. We have loved it here in Texas so far and I know the time here is going to fly by.
We have met some great friends here and have spent most of our summer swimming. Tate is a little fish now and Seth also thinks he knows how to swim.
Here are a few pictures of our first summer in Texas and what we have been up to...

The kids love playing in the backyard. Seth is obsessed with the hose. He loves it!

The circus came to town...

The Ringling Bros. and Barnum Bailey circus came to town. We ended up going with a bunch of other residents. I was excited to take Tatum since she has never been to a circus before. Well....let me just tell you that it is the LAST time we are going to a circus for a long, VERY long time! Tatum was SO good during it, but Seth was seriously crazy!!! Seth screamed, cried, head-butted, and did free falls down the stairs the whole time. I am not exaggerating! Colby and I had no control over this kid. I am totally admitting that my little boy is only sweet 15% of the time and crazy 85% of the day right now. I was able to handle the girl DRAMA Tatum had around two years old, but Seth's little tude that he has had lately has got to end! Luckily, we were in one of those boxed seating areas so Seth could somewhat run around. I do love him to death, but those of you that I have talked to who have gone through this with their cute boys (Annie) have made me realize that it WILL get better sometime. Let's just hope it is soon or cute little Seth won't have any little siblings! I really think he is reaching his TERRIBLE TWOS at 17 months old.
You are probably thinking, "weren't there a ton of things there to distract him." Sure there were! There were tigers, elephants, clowns, dirt bikes, and $20 toys, but I swear it just made him more hyper and crazy. Anyway, here are some cute pictures from the fabulous day at the circus. As you can see in the pictures, we all seemed happy. That is because they were taken before the big show started!! My poor kids won't be going to another circus until they are older or unless it is with Grandma and Big Papa!!

They are so cute huh!
