Bob was in trouble. He forgot Valentine's Day. His wife was really pissed.
She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!"
The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway.
Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, and brought the box back in the house.
She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale.
It's about 2 weeks since I'm back from the overseas trip already, for those that do not know, I went Shanghai and Hongkong for a total of about 4 days for business. Both countries are my "virgin" visit, hence it was quite an experience! Though the days there are quite packed and rushed. Weather was especially cold there, like about 15 degrees, even in HK, felt so cooool in those kinda weather :D
Also felt very "jiu" (codeword) during the overseas trip.... Lucky it was just 4 days only! Hahaha if not I dunno wat would happen to someone :P So.. I wanna go back to Hong Kong again for holidays! No meetings or vendor visit whatsoever! It's a relax-rest-shop-eat iternary!
Met up with the army gang last weekend for dinner and drinks as well.. Can't remember when was the last time we had a gathering, besides going back for reservist, maybe more than a year ago? Anyways it was good to see people whom you're close to for a period of 2 years, about 4 years ago hahaha
Went for drinks at St. James.. Though we went there kinda early but we still can't managed to find "acceptable" seatings. We opened a bottle and they can only give us a table near the lockers.... wth! Anyways the housepours could be better.. felt like drinking pure lime juice :P Music was okay but not great, preferred Rebel and Lunar more though~ But it was still fun, great that most of the guys could stay for a while (not to mention the "vegetables" :D :D :D woo wooooo!)
*Don't kill me okay?*
Almost the end of November! Really looking forward to December. Yup Korea trip and Christmas! Can we do a Xmas party this year??? :D
Finally I spoke the truth.. I didn't know I would ever say it out, but now I'm glad that I did. It was stupid to lie and think that everything's okay, I'm just kidding myself. Inflicted hurt and pain which I never meant to in the first place, for why.. I guess I'm too naive, or plain dense. Although you forgave, it will be something that couldn't be forgotten. I wish I could share with you those troubles, but the only thing I can do is to gain your trust, and for that, I promise.
Tired... Didn't get much sleep these past few days, and I dunno why!! Feeling sluggish and sick already (all thanks to that cup of latte). Looking forward to the weekends will make me feel slightly better! :D
Just came back from Nucleus Connect contract signing at Equinox. Was my first time there so pretty much suaku-ing around for the earlier part. View was great, could be better if not for the haze though. Things went smoothly too.. Those speeches, signing and photo-taking etc (as usual). Oh and looking down from the 69th floor really gives a FANTASTIC view of the roads! Especially the F1 race this coming weekend!
After which Boss (sounds like the villain in games) invited the NC staffs over to the 71th floor, New Asia Bar and Grill!!! Boss treating so must go lo! Hahaha! Anyways the place is totally empty, probably because we were there about 5pm... Only like 20 something of us? And they catered like a corner so we wouldn't destroy there image for being noisy and irritating haha. Ordered a harmless sounding chocolate vanilla martini, and who knows! It tasted like they pour 90% alcohol and 2% chocolate and 8% ice! WTH! Ya so as expected I didn't finished the smallll glass even though alot of peeps asked me to.. HAHA!
Would like to go back to New Asia Bar soon! But not for their chocovanilla! ACK!
Whee just back not long from the movies. Went to catch The Time Traveler's Wife earlier and it was good! Nice blend of lovey-dovey, a pinch of comedy, handful of Emo scenes, and a superb storyline. (Esp the ending!) Highly recommended!! Well, maybe those that read the novel will be disappointed? (since that's always the case)
Anyways! I'm requesting help from anyone that has been to Korea! Am planning a end-year trip for some ski, spa, theme parks and retail therapies! I know nuts about Korea!!! So yeah~ Any help will be greatly appreciated! :D
I always start posts by saying how long is it since the last update. Well.. it is LONG since the last one~ Caught up at work and hence not really in the mood to blog after which...
Anyways! To cut the whole story short, it's almost 2 months since I've started working at Nucleus Connect.. Think I'm more or less getting used to the environment and the peeps as well.. They are nice la~ (Hahah you never know who might be reading this) For those that do not know what the company does, here a link that might help! http://www.nucleusconnect.com
Besides work, me and my dear :P are also looking into going on a holiday this coming December. Previously was looking at Japan but it might be tough given the budget~ So we're considering Korea and Taiwan as well! Anyone with information or promotions about these two let me know ok? I'll give a treat if it works out! Hahahaha!
Recently was kinda down on luck.. Got into an accident! (a minor one) Stupid driver was charging into my lane when I was about to move forward, causing my side bumper to hit his door! The funny thing is that he tailed me all the way for 15mins before the "confrontation". He thought I was some noob that's going to just give him my IC and driving licence so that he can blackmail me... lol~ Okay I'm not going to be mean and post his photos up la! Funny now I think of it.. Anyways police report is made and the insurance company was inform, lets see how things goes~
Hope the next update won't be a few months away! Ciao everyone!
Just came back from the Nissan Fuel Frugal Challenge last Saturday. Was a damn tiring trip but had a great experience!! Now I can finally say that I've driven to Malaysia before! Haha
Anyways my bro and I reached Tan Chong Motors @ Bukit Timah before 430am! Freaking 430AM!!!!! Had complementary Mac breakfast and briefing before heading out to Malaysia... All before FREAKING 6AM!
Headed up to Kulai, Malaysia for fuel pumping before starting the race. This is how they play: 5mins to pump your own petrol to full tank, seal up tank, drive allllllll the way for 500km+, unseal tank, staff will pump up to full tank again, whichever team that pump the least and traveled the further wins the race.
And so what we saw was ppl pushing and shaking their cars vigorously to squeeze every drop of petrol into their tanks... Including us.. Another technique is of course, to turn off aircon during the ride... Not wanting to die driving, we didn't do that, which is one of the reason why we didn't win as well.
We drove for 530km total, surprisingly it only used up 1/2 tank of petrol!! Kinda amazing! Also amazing is we consistently drove about 70-80km/hr on the North-South Expressway... Crazy stuff!
Anyways the winner was a team of 2 uncles, one is quite old btw. I believe they won cos they're driving a sedan model, and most probably turned off the aircon as well. No wonder they looked pale during the announcement...
Overall the trip was damn tiring and everything is rushed! But I wanna drive up to Malaysia again! To KL or even Genting and beyond! @ 140km/hr! :D
