So Sweet...

I forgot to mention in my last post how sweet my hubby and my little boy are. Yesterday after Brayden got done with school I needed something at the grocery store. Brayden and Josh offered to go and get it for me. When they got back they had bought me these beautiful flowers. Josh had the idea to buy them and he let Brayden pick out the color. I love that Josh does things like this. He has done things like this for me since we started dating. I love you Josh and Brayden!! Thanks for making me feel so loved.

Our Date Night

The concert was AWESOME!! You could say I'm a little bit of a fan since I've seen them every year that they come to Utah. We had a great night. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and we stayed downtown that night at a hotel. My parents were nice enough to keep Brayden for the night. Since Josh works every weekend with his part-time job our dates are few and far between so it was just nice to spend the night together and enjoy each other. Thanks babe for a great date! I love you!

I'm So Proud..

Josh has been going to school on and off since we got married. He has been going for the last 2 1/2 years without taking a break at all. Well the day is almost here. GRADUATION!!! WOHOO!! On May 2 he will graduate with his Bachelors. We've been going back and forth about moving forward with a Masters and we've decided that in the long run the Masters will definetely be beneficial. So Josh isn't technically done with school just yet but he will have a commencment ceremony in May for the Bachelors. I'm so proud of him. He's worked so hard the last 2 years between working full-time, part-time so I don't have to work, school and his church callings. His parents are so proud of him to. They said he will be the first Wayman to graduate from college. We will probably be paying on the student loans for the rest of our lives but it will be worth it. Nice job babe!

Bye Mom

This morning Brayden did something that made me laugh. I was out in the living room and he was in his bedroom. He came out into the living room with his backpack on and his glasses on. I asked him where he was going and he told me he was leaving. He is apparently old enough to go out into the world by himself. I didn't take offense or anything because I knew he wasn't mad at me or anything. I had a childhood flashback after he did this because my sister use to do this all the time when we were growing up. If she would get mad or upset she would go get her Care Bear suit case and would threaten to leave. One time my mom actually let her leave because she knew she wouldn't get far. She got up the street and decided to come home. Good times!

Open House

We had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Draper Temple Open House yesterday as a family. What a wonderful experience that was to be able to have Brayden there with us. When you make your reservations you are assigned a church to park at and then they show a 12 minute video and then you load on a bus and they shuttle you up to the temple. When I reserved our tickets I didn't even think about the fact that it was a Monday and FHE night for most. Our tour time was 4:20. We got to the church and there was no where to park. We had to park up the road a ways and walk down to the church. We then waited at the church for 2 hours before we loaded the bus. Yeah there was a ton of people there. We then got up to the temple and the tour was packed with people as well. Even though it was so crowded I was glad we went. Brayden seemed so interested at everything he saw. He's excited to turn 12 and have the opportunity to go. I'm so grateful for temples and all that it represents.

Having Fun

My sister and her husband went out of town and we got to have our favorite little girl come stay with us for a few days. Mckaylee has got quite the personality. She will be 2 in June and she is so funny. Brayden just loves having her here and playing with her. There is a 5 year age difference between the 2 of them and I always wondered how they would do but the older she is getting the better relationship they have. It's cute to watch them interact. Brayden has a little table and he was sitting at it and she came and sat next to him and he read her a book. So cute! Whenvever she gets into something she shouldn't Brayden always gets his stern voice with her and says Mckaylee Tyler you don't get into that. He is at the perfect age to be my big helper when she's here.

My Valentine

Josh is such an amazing husband and father. He always finds a way to make me laugh and not a day goes by that he doesn't express to me how much he loves me. I can't believe that we have been married almost 9 years. It seems like just yesterday when we went on our first date. I remember it so well and remember the feelings I felt then. I knew that I was going to be with him and be sealed to him for time and all eternity. He is my rock. There are times I might be a bit dramatic about things and he listens and offers advice and tries to get me to see that it's not that bad. Since I've had my calling with the Relief Society he has been amazing. He has supported me and taken care of Brayden when I'm gone to meetings.

He is such an awesome father! I watch him with Brayden at times and am a little envious because they have the best relationship. Not that me and Brayden don't but there is something different between a father and son. I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that he is always there for Brayden no matter what it is. There is one thing Brayden will never doubt and that is the love his father has for him.

I'm so grateful for Josh and his love for the Gospel. He has such an amazing testimony and strives hard each and everyday to keep the Spirit close to himself and our home. I'm grateful that we have always had the Priesthood in our home. I can't imagine going from day-to-day and not have that.

I basically just want to tell my hubby how much I love him and I'm grateful for him and all that he does for our family. I love you Josh. Happy Valentines Day!!

Mr. Smarty

I'm sure everyone gets tired of hearing how smart my son is but if I don't write these things down I will forget. I know I made mention a couple of weeks ago what a great reader he is. We went to parent-teacher last night and it is a great thing to hear that your child is doing great academically. Mrs. Brimley said a 10 is the cap for reading but he was higher than that so she gave us some suggestions on ways to keep moving him along with the reading. She also had all the kids right I love you mom and dad love name of child. She had them do this so she could show the parents as she was meeting with them how well the kids were writing, the space between the words and some areas they could work on with the writing. She had to point out what a funny and cute thing Brayden did on his paper. Of course on the front he wrote I love you mom and dad love Brayden Wayman. Then on the back of the paper he did this without being prompted he wrote I love grandma and grandpa love Brayden and he drew a picture with him and his 4 grandparents. So darn cute!! I loved that he sounded out grandma and grandpa on his own. It's amazing the things that kids learn at school. I'm so grateful for Brayden and the wonderful teacher Mrs. Brimley is with her class.

My Sweetheart

I'm going to take a minute and be a little prideful. My wife is one awesome person. She recently received a new calling, and has felt a little overwhelmed. Since she has gotten the calling she has been wholly dedicated to making sure that she has served with all of her heart, might, mind, and strength. She has been an example of true service to all of my family, and most especially to me. Emily I just want you to know how much your son and I appreciate what you are doing, and how grateful I am to have a wife so dedicated to serving the Lord.
