Quincy!

I LOVE Thanksgiving in Quincy. It has been one of my favorite places since I was little, and this trip was no exception!
I love staying in mamo's 130 year old home on Main Street down from where my mom and her siblings went to High School, visiting poppa's fish hatchery, eating pumpkin rolls and poppa's homemade blueberry jam, never ending games, lots of walks, cutting down our own christmas trees, constantly laughing and joking around, going to the one movie playing at the theater, the Pizza Factory, feeling like we're in a dog kennel, not needing a car, going shooting, the manual bowling alley, the constant smell of pine in the air, thrift shopping..

Peru: summer of 2006

I was on my mom's computer and found our pictures from doing service in Peru, and thought I would post some. I had some of the most amazing experiences there like building greenhouses, pathways, vaccinating animals, staying overnight with a Kechu speaking family with no electricity or anything, seeing the floating towns on Lake Titicaca, hiking Waynapiccu, Maccu Piccu, building Adobe homes, seeing tons of Sea Lions, freezing our butts off,  lots of dancing and avocado eating, getting to spend time with my mom and dear friends, meeting amazing people...the list could go on and on. I feel so blessed to have been able to do the traveling I have done to have such experiences. I love having my eyes opened to different cultures and seeing the different way people live. Such a humbling experience! Anyway, loved this trip and want to go on another service trip soooon!

My favorite g-star pants are falling apart after about 3 years of good use.
They have been with me through a lot. A LOT.
And now they are slowly ripping and tearing..
Which I am actually proud of!
I don't think I've ever made it to this point with pants before.
"Good investment." (Josh says)
YES!

BP dressing room in Nordstrom.
Leah couldn't have been more thrilled with the Twilight set up!
And how awesome are her boots? Pretty bold for an eleven year old!
(iphone pics)

OKAY, I tried it!

Now when I give my friends a hard time for always eating "Del," I actually have personal experience to support my disgust! Sorry Aubree, especially.

I am not usually a breakfast eater, but today I made my roommates blueberry pancakes.
Too bad they didn't compare to the ones at Clinton Street Bakery that my friend Mark Weinburg took us to while in NYC.

After a conversation on the topic of food with my BF on Saturday, who is not from Utah, I decided to make him a list of some favorites around here. (That's right, I have a BF as of two days ago. Weird.)

Shout out to an amazing friend..

Cate and I have known each other since 7th grade at Churchill Jr. High, but somehow stopped really being friends until this past summer! And thank goodness we reconnected because she has been the greatest friend. We are really on the same page with just about everything, and she is an amazing girl.
I would rather have a few extremely quality friends, than a bunch that come in and out. She is definitely one I will be friends with forever.

My newest goal. Well, okay maybe oldest but is back again.
I have an unfortunate habit of stressing out.
And a hard time making decisions.
BUT,
I have turned over a new leaf.
Well, in the process.
I am going to try extra hard to relax.
There is nothing to worry about!
I am so blessed with an amazing family.
And the greatest friends.
Life is so great...and I feel good about everything going on right now!

all the past 3 weeks, nothing better.

Halloween & Oktoberfest.

Asian Tourist, U of U & BYU cheerleaders, Parker is too cool to dress up apparently.

Forgot to post about New York..

A few friends and I went to New York over fall break to visit Taylor (another friend). We did SO much. I don't think we stopped for one second, but it was amazing. I loved the MET and the International Center for Photography. Wasn't a fan of Kandinsky in the Guggenheim, but the building is amazing. We went to a couple plays, but food and museums kinda became the priorities!

The Alchemist.

I love this book. It has been good timing to read it recently, while I have been dealing with some decision making. Turns out, while small decisions I can make without hesitation, I am not so good at the bigger ones.
Here is one of my favorite parts of the book:

"He still had some doubts about the decision he had made, But he was able to understand one thing: making a decision was only the beginning of things. When someone makes a decision, he is really diving into a strong current that will carry him to places he had never dreamed of when he first made the decision."

It also inspires you to GO FOR IT. Follow your dreams... they do come true.
